TEAM TALK
We need to build on our first win and get a second. Keeping a clean sheet is our main objective. We will be organized and look to Di Maria and Ibrahimovic to provide us with the quality in attack where we have truly world class players. We have chemistry at the back with three of the back four being French.
GENERAL TACTICS
We need to be organised defensively with two banks of four. Mexes and Rami have the height advantage to dominate Lewandowski. When we go forward Dzogaev and Di Maria should get right inside and support Ibrahimovic while the full backs push right up with Denisov and Gustavo covering. Rather than running around trying to man-mark like headless chickens, we will be composed and stick to our formation and be organized.
DEFENSIVE TACTICS
Mexes and Rami should make sure Lewandowski has no time on the ball by using their height advantage to beat him in the air and be quick to tackle. Clichy and Anyukov are bigger and stronger than Young and Muniain who will most likely play on their wings so should use that to push them out wide. Most importantly stick to our bank of four though. In front Denisov and Gustavo should make blocks, interceptions and get stuck in. Gustavo is a beast in the air and should look to match Fellaini. Marchisio and Dzogaev should get narrow and stick tight in the centre of midfield to ensure we dominate there. They aren't wingers, just wide midfielders!
ATTACKING TACTICS
Ibrahimovic will be marked by Pique but we should use his height advantage to win aerially, Pique is more known as a good player on the ground rather than dominant in the air. Don't be afraid to take on a man and have a shot. Di Maria and Dzogaev should cut right inside as the full backs will be charging forward down the wings and should get crosses in. Marchisio should drive forward and break past an aging Alonso and have a shot from long range. At set pieces Mexes and Rami should get forward and provide a goal threat.
SET PIECES
Left Corner - Marchisio
Right Corner - Dzogaev
Free Kicks - Di Maria
Penalties - Ibrahimovic
SUBSTITUTIONS
If winning then bring on Shirokov to freshen up our midfield. He should give us a renewed energy.
If drawing then bring on Rodriguez for Gustavo, move to a 4-2-3-1 with Dzogaev in a central role and Di Maria and Rodriguez on the wings.
If losing then bring on Welbeck and Cabaye for Denisov and Gustavo. Go to an attacking 4-4-2 and look to grab a goal, get back into the game.

Team Talk
We played well last week and I want to use the same system and play the game our way. We need to focus on doing our own things correctly, so I'm playing to our strengths with a fluid frontline and width from the full backs. Our opponent will be tough every week, so lets do our jobs and get the results.
Ochoa - Claim high balls, take the pressure off, parry what you can't catch and talk to the back line. Distribute short.
Juanfran/Nagatomo - Go forward, overlap, and provide width in attack for our midfield and look to feed the AMs and Cav from the wings. In defence, stand your man up and push him backwards. Don't allow space to cross, and don't commit to tackles.
Sakho/Bonucci - I expect one up front and he will likely operate in the 18 yard box, so Sakho will take him and I want you to be physical and dominant. Bonucci to pick up players coming from deep. Don't go to ground and be strong in the challenges. Keep it on the floor and move it forwards.
Busquets - Sit deep and start the play from the back. Look to move us forward and then stay vigilant in front of the back line. They have talented AMs so follow them if they are drifting centrally and look to cut supply to them.
Moutinho - Slightly ahead of Busquets; move the ball on and keep us flowing. You have a wealth of options ahead and look to utilise the width provided full backs when they break forward. In defence, drop back, follow your runner and be difficult to play through.
Muller, Ozil, and Hamsik - I want you three to operate as a unit again this week, to exchange passes, and to be impossible to mark. Drift infield and out wide, wherever the space is and look to make angles for through balls or to take men on and get space to shoot or cross. Switch positions through the game and see if you can pull their midfield/defence around for us to exploit. Always be available for a pass and look to break into the box to support Cavani if the ball is in there. The full backs will be moving outside of you so utilise their runs.
Cavani - Operate in the box and make runs all day. Be a constant threat and make sure they can't take their eyes off of you. You can make something from nothing, so twist and turn on the ball and make space for a shot. If nothing is on, you have support with you always, so use them.
Pens: Ozil
FKs: Ozil
Corners: Ozil
Subs if winning 80mins:
Ramires on for Ozil: Drop back and form a 3 man midfield in front of the back three, with Muller/Hamsik supporting Cav.
Subs if losing 80mins: Caceres for Juanfran and Dzeko for Mathieu. Go to a back three, have Muller on the RW and Ozil on the LW, and get the ball into the front two. Pepper them with attacks.

Subs: Weidenfeller, Ferdinand, Schmelzer, Ogbonna, Shaqiri, Negredo, Milito
All set pieces except penalties: Lahm

Captain: Lahm

Team Talk: Excellent win last week against one of the title favourites. We've caused one upset, let's do it again! Let's be 'avin you! We're up against a team solid in the middle and good down the wings, so we'll look to starve them of the ball and attack their FB's, especially the 2n choice LB this week.
Buffon: Be big and strong, catching everything possible and only punching when necessary. Look to start off a counter attack by playing the ball out wide.
Defence: Judging by lat weeks lactics, Zlatan should start up front on his own for Trebs so Piqué I'm trusting you to deal with him. Keep tight to him when he's near you, goalside of him and look to really get in his head (not literally). If we keep him quiet, he might become stroppy. Dante, look for any runs from midfield or any wingers that cut in. If there is no immediate threat help Piqué with Zlatan. FBs: Probably Di Maria + Rodriguez/Dzagoev on the wings. Keep goalside of them, force them to either cross it in or run into Alonso/Fellaini. When attacking, double up with the wingers 2 v 1 against their FBs. 1 of you forward at a time.
Midfield: Alonso, I want you to target Marchisio. Rough him up, keep the ball from him and look to stop his surging runs. Keep him away from goal scoring positions. Fellaini, get the ball and charge forward with it, exchanging passes with Michu and the wingers. Alternatively, get forward in support of Michu + Lewandowski. Someone will hoof the ball to you so chest it, control it and pass it like last week. Michu: support Lewandowski in attack; drop back when we defend. Wingers, attack their FB's directly and cross it into the striker. On occasion, Muniain come over to the right and attack the LB with Young and Lahm.
Forward: Michu and Lewandowski are the main attacking threat, with Fellaini looking to get forward when he can in a box-to-box role. Rob, get at the 2 CB's and look to push and pull them out of position. See if Pepe will foul you. If there are gaps in the defence, Michu, look to exploit them. Negredo: On 50 mnutes you are coming on to provide a completely different threat. You are more physical so target Rami repeatedly and act as a target man from crosses.
Subbies:
At half-time Lewandowski off and Negredo on. If drawing or losing on 60 minutes, Alonso off and De Jong on. 4-4-2.
If winning on 80 minutes, Alonso off and Ferdinand on (Ferdinand to DM). Also, Muniain off and Shaqiri on. Young to RW, Shaqiri to LW.

Team Talk: Ok we lost our first game lets not panic, we look to use the width aswell as the centre close them high up pitch so we can win ball back. We don't rush look to pass the ball around and for any openings.
De Sanctis try to claim ball but punch if you have to always shout early if you can get ball communicate parry shots away from danger hit it long to Pizzarro
Azpilicueta + Cissoko defend first jockey man don't dive in push him to weaker foot or away from goal when attacking make overlap runs to create space for winger
Barzagli leader of defence pick up main striker close him down close room so he can't shoot challenge for the ball watch any runs he makes
Lescott pick up SS look for runs he makes if they play 1 you cover for Barzagli any mistake sweep it up always be aware of your positional sense
Javi Garcia just sit infront of back four and protect anyone out of position fill in put pressure on opposition watch the AM an keep passing simple
Pirlo if they try and mark you push forward which will push them into own half dictate tempo look for wide runs or central fast or slow tempo
Valencia use pace and strength keep wide give us consistent crosses make runs inside to stretch them follow the LB when they attack
Bastos drift in and keep wide mix it up get crosses in out wide an inside link with Mata and drive through box for shots or crosses follow RB when they attack
Mata free role you can go where you like link up from deep and Pirlo pushes forward or go wide position come centre look to play the killer ball
Pizzaro you have a lot of support behind you so stay in middle and don't go out of position when you get ball look to pass and move into box get ready for early crosses

Johnson ---- Terry (c) ---- Cahill ---- Assou-Ekotto
------------ Capoue ----- Carrick ----------------
------------------- Arteta -----------------------
Yarmolenko ------------------------------ Schürrle
------------------- Eto'o -------------------------
Team Talk: After a great showing last week against the Champions we face a team that we almost upset on the last day of last season. If we work as team we can beat them today, exploiting the spaces and especially their right back will be key.
Patrício: Watch out for their attackers running onto any through balls, be quick off your line and sweep up.
Johnson/Assou-Ekotto: Keep up your concentration and don't over commit forward if you can't get back in time. When they have the ball force their wingers (Villa and Cazorla?) outside as we will have the advantage in the middle.
Terry/Cahill: Terry to stick to their striker (Villa or Higs), don't allow them to get past you. This will allow Cahill to focus on their players breaking from deep. Work with the midfield to nullify any danger.
Capoue/Carrick: Work together to prevent Bilbao from settling, I want you both to make sure they have no time on the ball. Capoue, inparticular, is to make life hard for their CAM/Second Striker and make him not want to recieve the ball (especially if its Moura as he won't like being roughed up). This will leave Carrick to watch for anyone breaking from deep. When we have the ball I want Carrick to burst from Box to Box to support our attacking players. Look to link up with Arteta.
Arteta: Aid Capoue/Carrick when we don't have the ball, look to close down Xavi whenever Bilbao have the ball. Pressure him into making mistakes, this should then allow us the break quickly and with purpose. When we have the ball look for the great passes we all know you have in your locker and release Schürrle and Yarmolenko. If you have the ball just outside the box look to hit it.
Schürrle/Yarmolenko: Look to drive inside as much as possible in order to give us 3 vs 2 in the center. Cole and Richards/Isla all struggle when wingers drive inwards. Schürrle inparticular can really hurt their right back. Once you've successfuly driven inside look to link up with Eto'o.
Eto'o: Don't allow their center backs to settle on you, for example dropping deep to give space for Schürrle/Yarmolenko to drive into. Look to link up with Schürrle/Yarmolenko and play them in behind the center backs. If you geta sniff of goal then seize it.
-----
Corners: Yarmolenko/Schürrle - Terry/Cahill to come forward, Glen Johnson to hover outside the box whilst Ekotto/Capoue/Carrick stay back.
Freekicks: Arteta
Penalties: Arteta
-----
Subs:
Regardless of score at 70 minutes:
Džeko on, Eto'o off. Like for like up front, Džeko offers something a bit different to keep Bilbao's cb's guessing.
If losing at 75 minutes/otherwise at 80 minutes:
Sterling on, Yarmolenko off. Let the 'naïvety of youth' take over, Sterling won't show any fear of Ashley Cole's reputation! Carry on looking to drive inside and link up with Džeko.

Real Ale Sociedad v AC ALSOAM
- Spoiler:
- Injuries: Lucas Leiva, Jeremy Toulalan
1. Samir Handanovic
2. Pablo Zabaleta
3. Aleksandar Kolarov
7. Wesley Sneijder
8. Bastian Schweinsteiger
9. Alexis Sanchez
10. Carlos Tevez
14. Vincent Kompany
21. Hatem Ben Arfa
24. Abou Diaby
25. Neven SuboticHandanovic
Zabaleta - Kompany - Subotic - Kolarov
Diaby - Schweinsteiger
Ben Arfa - Sneijder - Sanchez
Tevez
Subs: 5. Benedikt Howedes, 11. Coutinho, 12. Paolo De Ceglie, 13. Gabriel, 17. Pablo Osvaldo, 22. Fredy Guarin, 23. Christian Maggio
Manager's note: Let's try to build on last week's win, against a Real Ale side still rebuilding. Going to 4-2-3-1 today, less of a need to play 3 CB's so being more rational with our gameplan.
Handanovic - command your area, stay big for any 1 on 1's.
Zabaleta/Kolarov - watch out for Hazard, likely to play wide as Real Ale have a winger shortage. He will try to cut inside, force him wide and bully him off the ball.
Kompany/Subotic - whether they play 1 or 2 strikers, use your strength. Torres has a pace advantage but he will have to run around you, make yourselves big and delay his run for anything played over the top. Force him back when the ball's on the deck, he is much less effective from deep.
Diaby/Schweinsteiger - both box to box, alternate who sits as the DM and who gets forward to keep them guessing. Whoever stays as DM watch for an AM from Real Ale and/or Hazard playing infield. Both of you and Sneijder will dictate the game when in possession, without the ball Real Ale aren't a threat. Diaby you are on great form for Arsenal, you bullied and bossed Joe Allen last week IRL, do it again today.
Ben Arfa/Sanchez - both can play either wing, so interchange, cut inside, go outside, keep the fullback guessing. With Lichtsteiner injured, RB is a weaker area so Sanchez at LW will be looking to capitalise.
Sneijder - dictate the play from further forward, play a good passing game with your midfielders and wingers, play through balls with Tevez and when play is out wide, get into the area as a late arriving second striker. Don't be afraid to come deep (hyk hyk) to get the ball.
Tevez - lone striker, their CB's are very good in the air but your service will be on the floor, either to feet where you can turn and run/shoot, or crossed inbetween defence and goalkeeper low down where your well timed runs result in a tap-in. Vertonghen is the better CB of the pair, so stick to the other one to spin off of.
Subs 70 mins:
If winning: Ben Arfa off, Guarin on. Change to a 4-3-2-1, Guarin an extra CM to contain pressure easier, look to counter attack. Midfield 3 of Guarin - Diaby - Schweinsteiger.
If drawing: Zabaleta and Ben Arfa off, Howedes and Maggio on. Change to 3-4-1-2, Howedes - Kompany - Subotic at CB, Maggio - Diaby - Schweinsteiger - Kolarov in midfield, Sneijder behind Tevez and Sanchez upfront. Something different to try and force the win.
If losing: Ben Arfa and Diaby off, Osvaldo and Maggio on. Change to a very attacking 3-4-3, Zabaleta - Kompany - Subotic at CB, Maggio - Sneijder - Schweinsteiger - Kolarov in midfield, Osvaldo - Tevez - Sanchez as a front three. Go for it, nothing to lose.

REAL ALE TACTICS
- Spoiler:
- Week 2: Real Ale Sociedad v AC ALSOAM
Injuries: Gaston Ramirez and Stephan Leichsteiner.
Team: 5-3-1-1
-----------------------------------Hart----------------------------------------
Adriano----------Smalling--------Vertonghen----------Kaboul--------------Baines
-----------------Allen------------M'Vila-----------Gerrard-----------------------
---------------------------------Hazard----------------------------------------
---------------------------------Torres-----------------------------------------
Subs: Given, Shawcross, Wilshere, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Giroud, Lukaku
Team Talk: A tough game last week, and we are against the defending champions. They are without two of their CDM's, so we aim to dictate play in the centre of the park where they may resort to physical play, and have Hazard in a free role where he can do the most damage. Our wing backs will enable the team to have width in key areas of the field, while keeping the numbers up in the centre.
Hart: You conceeded three goals last week, so I want a much better display from you. Be alert and watchful for through balls at all times. With Tevez likely to play, I am not expecting crosses, so be quick off your line to smother the ball.
Smalling/Vertonghen/Kaboul: Kaboul and Smalling to play as normal CB's. Keep the line deep to combat balls played behind you. Look to dominate physically. Vertonghen has a keep role of keeping Tevez quiet. Whether he plays as a SS or CF, I want you to mark him and get him off the ball quickly. One of your key strengths is running and distributing from defence, so get Tevez off the ball and drive forward.
Adriano/Baines: The Barcelona player comes in as a perfect replacement for this system. I want you to play a high tempo game. While being watchful for AC's wingers, I want you to get forward and make our midfield a 5 man one. Look to press on and get through balls played to Torres and Hazard. Then track back for more defensive duties. Baines as usual to take any freekicks around the penalty area, as Torres and Hazards pace will cause a lot of free kicks to be given away.
Allen/M'Vila/Gerrard: M'Vila comes in to provide needed steel in our midfield. Break up the play as you do so well and destroy AC's powder puff attacking players. Keep deep and watchful for any movement down the wings, and if our wing backs are up field. Allen and Gerrard to dictate the game. AC have no real playmaker in their squad, which is something the pair of you do well. Interchange passes, move up field and not stay on the ball long enough to be knocked off. With Baines and Adriano pushing up field, and Hazard in front of you, you have a wealth of options. Simple, precise and speed is essential. Gerrard to break forward from midfield to provide an outlet for Hazard and an attacking threat that won't be marked.
Hazard: Free role for you so you can do damage. Drift behind Torres and push the game high up the pitch for that killer through ball. Run at the defense and if the foul comes, then so be it. Baines will score from the free kicks that come. Drift on both sides of the pitch, and always make yourself available. If the chance comes, look to thread the ball through to Torres rather than shooting. We want to take advantage of his pace.
Torres: Play around the final third. Look to be on the shoulder of their CB's and beat them for pace. We have three fantastic passers behind you, so opportunities will come. Stay up field, Hazard will bring it to you and distribute. I need you to take every chance you get.
Subs:
If losing or drawing after 75mins. Oxlade-Chamberlain FOR Smalling. Giroud FOR Torres. Play 4-5-1. Oxlade on the left, and Hazard on the right. Look to play the width game now, with both wingers coming inside and taking shots on goal. Giroud to use his movement to take on the tired CB's and provide the spaces for our wingers to exploit and get the goal.

Bilbao Baggins v Hangover 69

Team Talk
Back to the preferred 4-2-3-1 set up this week to face the challenge of our Championship rivals from last season. I'm expecting them to pack the midfield so have gone for speed merchants on the wing to really strike at their suspect fullbacks especially newcomer Johnson. When under pressure drop back to a 4-4-1-1 with two walls to make it difficult to break down and then up the gears quickly in counter.
De Gea: Communicate with the back four, instruct them on set pieces. Make yourself big on one on ones and claim crosses. Look to throw the ball out to our FBs to commence attacks.
Cole & Richards: Stay on your feet and keep their wingers from cutting inside whilst blocking any crosses from the touchline. Link up play with our wingers and double up where possible.
Chiellini & Hummels: If Hangover have just Eto up front then Chiellini is to keep a close watch upon him as he comes forward, don't be afraid to rough him up outside the box. Hummels to sweep up any second striker or encroaching winger/AM but then look to move the ball forward to Xavi & the wings.
De Rossi: Enforce the midfield and nullify any threats that Hangover possess by quickly breaking down play, harrass Carrick and force him to play backwards. If the FBs come forward then ensure the gaps are protected.
Xavi: Be prepared for a close watch but remain calm dictating the flow of the game. Look ahead for Cazorla breaking forward and the wingers beating their markers down the wing.
Cazorla, Giovinco and Moura: All three are comfortable in any of the LW/AM/RW roles so looking to interchange them throughout the game and be aware where to probe through the back line of the Hangover defence. Mix it up from the wings, use acceleration down the outside from timed threaded balls and whip balls early into the 6 yard box for Higs. Drop into the box when the other winger has the ball to provide extra threat for loose balls. Drop deeper to swamp midfield when in periods of pressure.
Higuain: Come deeper and drag any marker with you then look to time your runs with the attacks to burst into the box and meet crosses. Whisper a few insults in Terry's ear about his past to wind him up into showing aggression on the pitch.
Subs: Alves, Criscito, Ninis, De Jong, Cambiasso, Villa, Isla
If losing at 70 min: Bring on Villa & Ninis for De Rossi & Moura, go 4-4-2 and use the speed down the wings against tired FBs to provide threat coming inside.
If winning at 80 min: De Jong & Villa on for Moura & Higuain, De Jong and De Rossi to then sit infront of defence and break down any threat, whilst hitting them on counter

All set pieces except penalties: Piszczek (Direct free-kicks within 20 yards of opposition goal taken by Young)
Penalties: Xabi Alonso
Captain: Lahm
Injuries: Shaqiri + De Jong
Team Talk: Lads, today we face one of the best attacks in the leagues with Muller, Ozil, Hamsik and Cavani. We'll do our usual trick of keeping the ball and passing it around, forcing them to chase it. When they do get it, work hard to win it back and look to hit them painfully on the counter. M'ON!!!!!!!!
Buffon: Be big and strong, catching everything possible and only punching when necessary. Look to start off a counter attack by playing the ball out wide.
Defence: Piqué, you have the job of facing Cavani which is the unstoppable force v the immovable object. You know what to do; stick to him like glue and keep goalside of him. When he does get the ball force him to use his weaker left foot. Dante, with Piqué fighting Cavani you have to take care of the AM's of Hamsik, Muller and especially Ozil. Martínez will drop back into CB when we are defending to create a back 5. FBs: Come inside to help the CB's against the AM's unless they go outside, in which case force them to run the ball out of play. Get forward but only 1 of you attack at a time.
Midfield: Alonso and Fellaini, you are in a box-to-box role today. Drop back to help Martínez with defence duties then break forward to help the attack with the ball (Fellaini + hair especially). Our plan in this game is to soak up the pressure and then get forward and hit their defence on the counter. If Busquets gets the ball tap him and he'll fall over, allowing us the chance to regroup. Wingers: We'll copy the Bayern style by having 3 players attacking 1 FB. Lahm, Muniain and Young will look to heap pressure on the 2nd choice RB (Arbeloa?). Cross the ball into Negredo or attack and have a shot on goal. Martínez will cover any counters down our left flank.
Attack: Negredo you are leading the line for us today. You should look to put a LOT of pressure on Sakho as I feel he's vulnerable to a mistake. Stick to him and keep moving; also get into the positions to score. "If you snore, you don't score." Keep on your toes. Fellaini: Get forward and help with the attacks in a sort of AM role. You should target Sakho too or Bonucci. Alonso, tee the ball up to Fellaini so he can chest it, control it and cause havoc running at the defence or passing.
Subbies: If winning on 70 minutes, Negredo and Piszczek off, Schmelzer and Lewandowski on. (Lahm to RB, Schmelzer to LB).
If losing on 60 minutes, Martínez off and Michu on. Switch to 4-2-3-1 with Michu as the middle of the 3. If losing on 80 minutes, Alonso off and Lewandowski on. Attack.

TEAM TALK
We're the only team out there in the premier league who have the balls to go 4-4-2 and we're going to win this game to make up for losing our last two. Tevez will be upfront for them and he isn't the kind of player who sticks in one place. Pepe can match him for pace and we should constantly be shoving him off the ball as he's tiny. When we get the ball, we will have Eto'o being our pacey striker looking to finish and Ibrahimovic as a target man.
DEFENSE
Pepe and Rami should work together today to keep Tevez quiet. He is small and we should constantly look to shove him off the ball when he receives it. Don't be fooled into following him out of position when he runs all over the place. Let him waste his energy. Anyukov is a strong defender, and should look to use that to be physical with Alexis Sanchez to stop him making anything happen. He should also get forward when possible. Clichy should be similar with Ben Arfa, with all his Premier League experience he knows the physicality of it. It is essential we keep both of their wingers wide, so the full backs shouldn't look to dive in and instead jockey them wide, as they can only try to get a high cross in. With Carlos Tevez being their striker, they're not going to score headers. We need to make sure our defense sticks deep-ish to ensure we're not caught out on the offside trap.
MIDFIELD
In a nutshell, we should use our younger legs in midfield to dominate it, against the likes of Toulalan and Sneijder who are past their best. We should be sensible and look to be getting the ball forward to the wingers and strikers. Sneijder will be in the supporting role today and he will be man-marked by Gustavo. We cannot let him have an inch otherwise he will get passes all over the field. As soon as he gets the ball, Gustavo should get in his face preventing him from playing an fancy passes. If he looks to drop deep then Marchisio should take over man-marking duties. Give each other a breather, be sensible. If the ball is in their half, let them have it, but when the ball comes into our half we need to be looking to close them down and getting the ball up.
ATTACK
Ibrahimovic has a height advantage over both Kompany and Subotic and should use that to beat them in the air, look to get headers on goal and go for knock downs to the other attackers. Eto'o should use his pace, if they're playing a high line get on the shoulder, get on the end of the knock downs, take shots on goal. Subotic lacks pace and we should exploit that, run straight at him. Di Maria should look to cut inside and take shots, or go round and get balls into the box. As for James Rodriguez, he should look to get pinpoint crosses in. Both of them are skillful players and should look to take on their men. The support to our attack will come from Anyukov making the surging runs forward to get Di Maria to cut infield. He can get crosses in, and Alexis Sanchez will not help out defensively so there's our chance. Clichy should play a more defensive role today, stay back most of the time. Marchisio will be box to box and can get forward and take a long shot, and his midfield partner in Gustavo should almost always stay back.
SET PIECES
Left Corner - Rodriguez
Right Corner - Marchisio
Free Kicks - Di Maria
Penalties - Ibrahimovic
SUBSTITUTIONS
If winning then bring on Denisov and Carrick for one of the front two and Gustavo, move to a 4-5-1, Marchisio moves into a more advanced role, Denisov takes Gustavo's role.
If drawing then bring on Rossi for Eto'o to bring some pace into the game late on and stretch a tiring defense.
If losing bring on Carrick for Gustavo. Spray passes from deep up to the attackers when we have the ball, mark Sneijder when we don't.

The London Silly Nannies vs Jacamos United
-----------------Ochoa
Arbeloa------Sakho---Bonucci------Mathieu
----------Busquets----Ramires
------Muller-------Ozil------Hamsik
-----------------Cavani
Subs: Schmeichel, Caceres, Ranocchia, Moutinho, Carroll, Gaitan, Borini
Injuries: Juanfran, Thiago Alcantara
Team Talk
I am sticking with the football we have been playing, and the form players, but with one change in the middle and that being Ramires coming in to provide energy next to Busquets. We want to get forward and create chances today, games like this are going to be close and we need to show the ambition and cutting edge to win them.
Ochoa - Claim high balls, take the pressure off, parry what you can't catch and talk to the back line. Distribute short.
Arbeloa/Mathieu - Go forward, overlap, provide the width in attack for our midfield and look to feed the AMs and where it's on cross to Cav from the wings. In defence, stand your man up and push him backwards. Don't allow space to cross, and don't commit to tackles.
Sakho/Bonucci - I expect one up front and lots of movement trying to drag you away from position, so mark zonally and don't follow him out of your zones, just communicate and track him in the danger zone. Don't go to ground and be strong in the challenges - and especially in the air. Keep it on the floor and move it forwards.
Busquets - Sit deep and start the play from the back. Look to move us forward and then stay vigilant in front of the back line. They have talented AMs so follow them if they are drifting centrally and look to cut supply to them.
Ramires - They will likely have a box to box midfielder themselves and I want you to match him today. You have the energy to track him when he attacks, so don't let them have a free man breaking from the middle. On the ball, work with Biscuits, keep it simple and provide the ball to our creative triumverate, or the full backs, and support them from deep - always be an outlet.
Muller, Ozil, and Hamsik - The same remit for you three. I want you to operate as AMs high up the field and drift infield and out, looking for the space and angles to get the killer ball. Be patient if they are formed up behind the ball, and provide options for each other, but keep moving and trying to create the space and opportunities to create chances. Look for Cavani's movement ahead and try the outrageous pass if it's on. You all have licence to shoot if the space is there to.
Cavani - Operate in the box and make angled runs looking for the ball and the chance. You can make something from nothing, so twist and turn on the ball and make space for a shot. If nothing is on, you have support behind, so use them.
Pens: Ozil
FKs: Ozil
Corners: Ozil
Subs if winning 80mins:
Gonalons on for Ozil: Drop back and form a 3 man midfield in front of the back three, with Muller/Hamsik supporting Cav.
Subs if losing 80mins: Caceres for Juanfran and Carroll for Mathieu. Go to a back three, have Muller on the RW, Hamsik at AM and Ozil on the LW, (making a 3-2-3-2) and get the ball into the front two in the air and on the ground. Pepper them with attacks.

REAL ALE TACTICS v Hangover
- Spoiler:
- Week 4: Hangover 69 v Real Ale Sociedad
Injuries:
Joe Hart
Cheik Tiote
.
Team:
Captain: Kaboul
Freekicks: Ramirez
----------------------------------Given-------------------------------------
Leichsteiner---------Kaboul---------------Vertonghen--------------------Baines
---------------------Diaby------------------Arteta-------------------------
-----Sterling---------------------Hazard---------------------Ramirez-------
----------------------------------Torres-----------------------------------
Subs: Adriano, Smalling, Wilshere, Shawcross, Lukaku, Lucas, Giroud
Team Talk: Looking for our first win this week. Hopefully we will have too much quality on the pitch for Hangover.
Given: An able deputy. Most of the threat will be coming from wings so instruct the defense, be vocal and alert for any breaks from AM's
Vertonghen/Kaboul: We will probably be against a dominant CF, so I want Kaboul to match them for strength and Vertonghen to sweep up the danger. Attacks will be coming from midfield, so stop the CF making knock on's. I want you to be wary of breaks, and Vertonghen should be watchful from whats likely to be a 3 man attacking midfield.
Leichsteiner/Baines: Schurrle and Moses are likely to be playing on the wings, so I want you to match them for pace and plug the gaps. They will try and take you on so restrict the space and push them to the byline. They might try and get crosses in to the target man, so make yourself big and stop them coming in. On the plus side, Schurrle and Moses are not known for their defensive capabilities or tracking back, so there will be gaps you can both exploit on the overlap.
Arteta/Diaby: You know these roles inside out. Both work in tandem to get possession. Arteta to be a playmaker and knock the ball forward to our forward three. Be an outlet if the way is blocked and help in keeping hold of the ball. Diaby to play a more aggressive role. Retrieve the ball and drive forward where no one will be tracking you. Run wings around Capou and Gerrard, who has seen much better days.
Sterling/Hazard/Ramirez: Sterling and Ramirez to attack the full backs and get the through balls in to Torres. Come inside if our FB's overlap and cause havoc. Hazard to play a free role that will maximize the damage you cause. With only 2 defensive midfielders that Hangover are likely to field, we always have one player free and available. Hazard, go deeper if Diaby breaks forward, so he can look for that final pass into your feet so you can score. Interchange if needed and give their defense nightmares with your collective skill.
Torres: Terry is not known for his pace, so sit on his shoulders and wait for the through ball. Be active along the back four, bringing anyone that marks you away to create space for our attacking midfield 3.
Subs:
If Losing after 70mins: Lukaku FOR Sterling. Play an attacking 4-4-2. Hazard on right, Ramirez on left. Lukaku to provide a focal point for crosses and knock downs for Torres to run onto. Hazard and Ramirez to shoot from range.
If winning after 70mins: Lucas FOR Sterling. Lukaku FOR Torres. Play 4-5-1. Hazard on right, Ramirez on left. Lucas to sit in the middle of midfield, break up the play and provide cover and strength. Lukaku to rough up the CB's and allow Hazard and Ramirez to come inside on the break, and shoot from range..

Ben Arfa - Tevez - Sanchez
Osvaldo
Subs: 6. Vincent Kompany, 7. Wesley Sneijder, 16. Peter Crouch, 18. Lorenzo Insigne, 20. Alberto Aquilani, 23. Christian Maggio, 24. Yann M'Vila
Setpieces:
Freekicks: Kolarov
Corners: Ben Arfa/Schweinsteiger
Penalties: Osvaldo
Manager's note: Today is mainly about stopping Ibrahimovic and if he plays, Eto'o. Neither striker has the pace to trouble us so I want to play a higher line than usual. The deeper Ibrahimovic and/or Eto'o are, the less effective they are. Depending on where Di Maria plays, track him. If he plays LW, Zabaleta track him. RW, Kolarov track him. If they play a CAM, Toulalan will track him.
Handanovic: Command your area at all times, claim crosses, build attacks from the back.
Howedes/Subotic: playing you two ahead of Kompany on real life form. Make the most of your chance. Force Ibrahimovic deep in our high line, he can't beat you for pace so keep him away from goal. If Eto'o plays as well, apply the same tactic but Toulalan will be helping as a third CB when we're under pressure.
Zabaleta/Kolarov: one or both of you will have to stop Di Maria today. Whatever happens, force him wide. Make him go outside, he is not a renowned crosser as he likes to shoot, force him out of his comfort zone. Rough him up if necessary, overpower him and use niggly fouls to stop momentum. Same applies to Rodriguez or Dzagoev on the other side.
Toulalan/Schweinsteiger: when under pressure, Toulalan will become a third CB if Revenge play both Ibrahimovic and Eto'o. If they only play 1 and a CAM, Toulalan will track the CAM and suffocate him of the ball. Render him useless. Schweinsteiger, without possession, be an extra body in midfield. With possession, get the ball from deep, use it to pass our way through the Revenge defence. Have the occasional run forward, always keep Marchisio and whoever out of Carrick or Gustavo plays, guessing.
Ben Arfa/Sanchez: set up as Ben Arfa RW and Sanchez LW, but you can interchange, swapping wings, cutting inside and outside the fullbacks and either getting crosses into the area, passing infield or shooting. Use your pace and trickery to draw fouls from the defenders, we can be dangerous from setpieces so if we can utilise that, we will.
Tevez/Osvaldo: Tevez is given a free role, drift out wide, deeper, get forward to support Osvaldo, drag any marker out of position so that when Ben Arfa or Sanchez cut infield they have space to run into. Shoot when you get the chance. Osvaldo, up against two strong CB's so I want you to be equally strong. Its likely Revenge will be expecting Tevez as the striker, or if foul play is at work, Crouch. You will be tasked to run into the gaps, try to escape the markers and win headers. Be free in the area and do what you can to get shots in at goal.
Subs 70 mins:
If winning: Ben Arfa and Osvaldo off, M'Vila and Insigne on. Change to 4-5-1, M'Vila alongside Toulalan and Schweinsteiger at DM/CM. Insigne LW, Sanchez RW and Tevez CF, counter attack with pace.
If drawing: Tevez and Ben Arfa off, Sneijder and Insigne on. Like for like, Sneijder at AM and Insigne on the wing.
If losing: Zabaleta, Tevez and Ben Arfa off, Maggio, Crouch and Sneijder on. Go 3-4-3 with Howedes - Toulalan - Subotic at the back, Maggio - Sneijder - Schweinsteiger - Kolarov in midfield and Sanchez - Crouch - Osvaldo upfront. Get the ball forward, look to overcommit and create, if still behind late on send Howedes and Subotic forward as well and launch it.

------------------- Patrício ----------------
Debuchy ---- Terry (c) -- Cahill ---- Monreal
------------------ Capoue -----------------
------------ Gerrard ---- Cabaye -----------
Yarmolenko ------------------------ Schürrle
------------------ Džeko -------------------
Team Talk: Big game today after a solid performance in the cup against a very strong Real Ale side. I'd imagine they'll go 4-5-1 (4-2-3-1?) and look to hurt us with their attacking players looking to move around us. Capoue will be charged with stopping whomever is in the middle (Hazard) and preventing him from getting into the game. When we attack we'll look for Gerrard and the wingers with Džeko being predatory.
Patrício: Be watchful of Torres looking to burst through, sweep up any balls that get through. Communicate to our cb's.
Debuchy/Monreal: With the likes of Hazard/Sterling/Ramirez all likely to play you'll need to stay back. Force them outside as both Terry and Cahill are supreme in the air.
Terry/Cahill: Terry to look to stick to Torres, if he's not getting the service he'll switch off and throw a strop. Cahill to watch for their attacking players breaking from deep.
Capoue: As mentioned in the team talk you need to be at your best today and nullify the threat of Hazard/CAM. Make sure that you make their life as hard as possible. If Diaby plays then I expect him to look to break from deep so keep an eye out for him as well. Be strong and get physical.
Cabaye: Play your usual game and help us to break quickly, especially look to unsettle Arteta. When they have the ball I want you to look to get on top of them and make them pass it backwards or lose the ball. From their you can break with Gerrard and look to hit the wingers.
Gerrard: Debut for you today and I want you to play the role that you are best at. Look to roam forward when we have possession to support Džeko up front. If you get a chance to play one of your famous Hollywood balls, especially to our wingers, and allow us to break with pace.
Schürrle/Yarmolenko: Look to alternate between going outside and cutting inside to link up with Džeko. You both have the ability to hurt Real Ale and frustrate their fullbacks. Both Baines and Leichsteiner are quite attacking minded and so we will also have the ability to get in behind them and force one of their CB's to come wide. When you burst inside look for Džeko or if its on have a shot.
Džeko: Be predatory and look to hustle Kaboul. Look to involve Gerrard/Schürrle/Yarmolenko or even Cabaye if possible as we outnumber their back line. You've shown numerous times this season how great a striker you are!

- De Gea

Formation 4-3-2-1
Injuries: Isla & Ninis
Team Talk
Up against Viva's team today and although they currently stand at the foot of the table they are managed by one of the best tactical managers in the league. Brought in a 3 man very solid midfield unit to ensure the centre of the pitch is dominated by ourselves and to allow Toure the freedom to bulldoze through towards their goal. Cazorla & Giovinco's speed and movement is to be used to drag the defenders apart and allow Higuain to gain space.
De Gea: Make yourself big on one on ones and claim crosses. Look to throw the ball out to our FBs to commence attacks. Be vocal to the settled back four.
Cole & Richards: Stay on your feet and keep their wingers from cutting inside whilst blocking any crosses from the touchline. De Rossi is there to protect any space you leave so when available use the width of the pitch to come forward as WBs.
Chiellini & Hummels: Hummels is to deal with the main striker threat of Huntelaar, has the better awareness and reflexes to ensure that Huntelaar can't break off the shoulder and can anticipate balls through to him. Chiellini meanwhile is to be aware of incoming threats from Mata & Menez if they've broken free of the wingers. Both CBs look to play the ball on the floor to Xavi.
De Rossi: Keep Pirlo in your pocket, know his game well from the national team and you're instructed to keep him on a tight leash tonight. Niggle him early, knock him off his stride and ensure he fails to get into his stride. If one of our FBs come forward ensure the gaps left are covered.
Xavi: Be prepared for a close watch but remain calm dictating the flow of the game. Look ahead for Cazorla & Giovinco splitting apart the defence and Toure surging forward.
Toure: Box to box role for the Beast! Jockey and limit their options firstly and then look to build up a head of steam for Xavi's passes as Giovinco and Cazorla then part the Red Sea.
Cazorla & Giovinco: Both playing narrow and allowed to alternate sides to drag any markers out of position by feigning runs etc, look to be constantly on the move for Xavi's direction and to create confusion in their box to allow Toure to break forward and link up with Higuain coming off the shoulder of the last CB. If our FB is bombing the wing then double up around the back.
Higuain: Hang on the shoulder of the deepest CB in an offside position and then time diagonal bursts to both lose marker and create space.
Subs: Alves, Criscito, Moura, De Jong, Cambiasso, Villa, Bertrand
If losing at 70 min: Bring on Villa & Moura for De Rossi & Giovinco, go 4-4-2 and use the speed down the wings against a tired defence to provide threat coming inside.
If winning at 80 min: De Jong & Villa on for Giovinco & Higuain, De Jong and De Rossi to then sit infront of defence and break down any threat, whilst hitting them on counter

Team Talk defence work as a unit when one pushes up you all do keep in sync, midfield battle hard let them pass the ball in their own half once they come into ours we pressure them. They don't have a playmaker who can link defence and midfield Xavi is not that player we isolate that position that will neutralise him. They are trying to play a passing game when most of their plays are not on the same wavelength as Xavi.
De Sanctis try to claim balls punch if you have to be vocal stand your ground tall and big make goal small parry shots away. from danger
Azpilicueta + Cissoko get forward one at a time you have the pace to keep up with their wingers leave a little room so you can anticipate what they do if they try and cut in Garcia is there. When forward make runs an get crosses in
Barzagli pick up their main striker watch for runs try to intercept balls they try to play to him don't be too tight get tackles in when the ball is to be won
Lescott pick up AM/SS he will look to play in the striker get in the way close the angle gaps so he can't pass forward watch for his runs behind you
Javi Garcia watch Toure making runs jockey him work as a unit with Pirlo put pressure on them closing the room for them to exploit keep passing simple
Pirlo brains > brawn you are three steps ahead of the nethanderal cloggers of Bilbao get the ball around go forward with it always give an option look for gaps keep possesion if no pass is on help Garcia
Valencia get at the fullback attack him run at full tilt give us the natural width and plenty of crosses for us to attack always track back their LB
Bastos mix it up come inside and outside link up with a quick 1, 2 getting into box to pass or shoot look to track back aswell.
Mata freerole move around go deep if you want to allowing Pirlo to get forward or move into wide positions you have a very good key passing ratio look to use it put pressure on their DM to stop their moves
Huntelaar play as the preadtor don't look to go out wide or for the ball stay central make runs of the shoulder always anticpate where the ball will go gamble make runs to peak of marker don't stay static when you get ball pass it on

Subs: 4. Jeremy Toulalan, 5. Benedikt Howedes, 11. Coutinho, 15. Antonio Di Natale, 17. Lucas Moura, 20. Alberto Aquilani, 23. Christian Maggio
Manager's note: So here we are. The playoff semi final, against a very strong London Silly Nannies side. I'm hoping we can surprise them with a 4-4-2 Diamond system, playing narrowly to combat their centre midfield and attacking midfield. I want us to play a possession game throughout, without the ball I want us to drop back to a 4-3-1-2 to soak up pressure then pass it through their midfield and defence. Use the fullbacks to provide width.
Sirigu - Command your area, stay big for one on ones and be wary of long range shots. Distribute the ball to the fullbacks and CM's.
Zabaleta/Kolarov - Based on the last few weeks, Muller will be at RW and Hamsik at LW. Both will try to cut inside, always force them outside then close them down to prevent any crosses. When they interchange, stay in your positions. Whoever plays at RW is Kolarov's responsibility, whoever plays at LW is Zabaleta's responsibility. Occasionally get forward to provide width for our side and get crosses into the area for our strikers.
Hummels/Subotic - Cavani is the main threat, I want you to double mark him. Do not allow him to get free and make sure he cannot be in a position to take any chances that come his way. Be dominant in the air and use the ball sensibly when in possession.
De Rossi - Base of the diamond and if necessary a temporary third CB, I want you to be there to stop Ozil. The CB's don't need to worry about him as he isn't the type to be a second striker, but if you give Ozil space he can and will hurt us. I want you to close down whoever is the AM as at times they will interchange, but stick with the CAM. Close him down when he has possession and harass him into making a mistake. When on the ball, bring it out of defence.
Schweinsteiger/Ben Arfa - Schweinsteiger to bring the ball forward. Be the brain of our body, be the link between defence and attack. They will have a box to box CM in Ramires or Moutinho, I want you to track him when we don't have possession as De Rossi will be busy with Ozil, you have the ability to play as a DM if needbe so this shouldn't be a problem. Essentially playing box to box for us. Ben Arfa will be our deep lying playmaker, be the extra creativity required to unlock the very good LSN midfield and defence. Look to drift wide either side and use the fullback overlapping to create space to run into and/or play the fullback down the wing.
Sneijder - Our CAM, I want you to make sure Busquets has worked his socks off, drag him out of position, get the ball to feet, create chances for Tevez and Villa, look to shoot and test their keeper who due to injury will be Kasper Schmeichel. He's a decent shot stopper but has a mistake or two in him, test him and hopefully provoke a mistake.
Villa/Tevez - Our front two, I want both to be in the area for crosses, Villa to be the main man while Tevez switches between main striker and second striker, dragging a CB out of position for others to break into, and getting shots in. Villa to try and lose his marker for crosses and passes to him, be your wily self and give yourself half a yard to get shots in as this should be enough.
Subs 70 mins;
If winning: Sneijder and Tevez off, Moura and Toulalan on. Change to a 4-5-1/4-3-3, with Moura and Ben Arfa on the wings, Villa the lone striker and Toulalan joins De Rossi and Schweinsteiger in CM. Counter attack the Poopie out of them.
If drawing: Sneijder off, Moura on. Change to 4-2-3-1, Moura LW, Ben Arfa RW, Tevez AM and try a different approach to get the win.
If losing: Zabaleta and Sneijder off, Maggio and Moura on. Maggio and Kolarov move forward to wingbacks, Moura with something different on the wing and Ben Arfa to move to a more advanced role. Hummels and Subotic to push forward in the last moments if still losing.

Team Talk
Right, the play-offs have come around and we need to attack them. We can't be afraid to take the game to them, and considering our attacking talent I would say it's our best chance of winning it. Marky has a strong side, and he probably knows how we intend to play. That's only an advantage to a slight degree because we will stick to our guns and make ourselves hard to stop. Attack, be relentless and don't get your heads down if they score. Do you believe in me, like I believe in you, tonight?
Ochoa - Claim high balls, take the pressure off, parry what you can't catch and talk to the back line. Distribute short.
Arbeloa/Mathieu - Go forward, overlap, provide the width in attack for our midfield and look to feed the AMs and where it's on cross to Cav from the wings. In defence, stand your man up and push him backwards. Don't allow space to cross, and don't commit to tackles. Defend as a unit with a solid line.
Don't be dragged short - keep the defensive shape.
Moutinho - Take the ball from Busquets and dictate where we go. Always be available for a pass, and look to keep us moving. In defence sit alongside Busquets and make us hard to pass through.
Muller, Ozil, and Hamsik - All three of you should be looking to confuse and create. Interplay between yourselves and work the angles and space to get the ball to Cavani. If space is there for a shot, take it. Look to get up and around Cavani when the ball is in the box and feed off any scraps or lay-offs. If there is space out wide, take it and work with the FBs coming up alongside. You are designed to be a fluid unit, so when one drifts inside, another should drift to their position. Keep the fluid interchanging and let them deal with you.
Subs if losing 80mins: Caceres for Arbeloa, Ramires for Moutinho and Carroll for Mathieu. Then line up as thus (and keep attacking):
----------Ochoa
Caceres---Sakho---Bonucci
-------Busquets
-------------Ramires
Muller-----Hamsik----Ozil
------Cavani---Carroll

Re: Tactics
Bilbao Baggins v Trebles Revenge

Team Talk
The Play-offs for the title and I’ve gone for an attack minded set up using the Chilean pairing of Isla & Sanchez who played together for both club and country down the right hand side to really combine. Higuain knows Pepe’s strengths and weaknesses so will look to pull him out of position to provide space for Cazorla, Toure and the two wingers to exploit. Look to play a high back four if they have just Ibra up front and press on them immediately to keep them on the back foot.
De Gea: Communicate with the back four, instruct them on set pieces. Make yourself big on one on ones and claim crosses. Look to throw the ball out to our FBs to commence attacks.
Isla & Richards: Stay on your feet and keep their wingers from cutting inside whilst blocking any crosses from the touchline. Isla to combine down the wing with Sanchez.
Chiellini & Kompany: Kompany to match the big man Ibra, look to physically impose yourself early on him as he’s very much a form player. Knock him off that form early and his head drops. If they also play with Eto’o up front then Chiellini to look to meet him as he makes runs into threatening positions and to check runs. If they play just Ibra then Chiellini is to sweep up any inswinging wingers.
Toure: A deeper role today but with the remit that he’s allowed to launch forward when we’ve got possession. Stay back if Isla goes forward down the line.
Xavi: Be prepared for a close watch but remain calm dictating the flow of the game. Look ahead for Cazorla breaking forward and the wingers beating their markers down the wing.
Cazorla, Giovinco and Moura: All three are comfortable in any of the LW/AM/RW roles so looking to interchange them throughout the game and be aware where to probe through the back line of the Trebles defence. Mix it up from the wings, use acceleration down the outside from timed threaded balls and whip balls early into the 6 yard box for Higs. Drop into the box when the other winger has the ball to provide extra threat for loose balls. Drop deeper to swamp midfield when in periods of pressure and look to win the ball back asap.
Higuain: Come deeper and drag any marker with you then look to time your runs with the attacks to burst into the box and meet crosses. Anticipation and acceleration are key today. Harass the defence if they have the ball and force mistakes from them.
Subs: Alves, Criscito, Ninis, De Jong, Osvaldo, M’Vila, Richards.
If losing at 70 min: Bring on Osvaldo for Giovinco , go 4-4-2 and use the speed & creativity on the wings to get balls across to the added threat in the box.
If winning at 80 min: De Jong & M’Vila on for Xavi & Giovinco, go 4-5-1 with a physical midfield to sap the game for the remaining minutes.

TEAM TALK
Right, we need to prove ourselves today and get ourselves in with a shot of winning the league against all the odds. We have been written off, but we are going to show up and prove them all wrong. We will fight for the ball when we don't have it and win it back. Play fast on the counter attack, their centre backs aren't the quickest and the full backs will be getting forward. The performances of your lives, all of you.
DEFENDING
When we don't have the ball, we will get it back quickly. No messing around. They have some very skillful players in possession, and as a team we need to make sure that they do not have time on the ball.
Pepe should be the main marker of his Real Madrid compatriot Higuain. He should constantly shove him, make niggling fouls and be a thug. He will probably try to create some space, but he simply will not be allowed. Rami will play alongside him in defense and he will use his power to win everything in the box if they try to get high balls or crosses into the box. Keep it simple, get the ball and smash it long to Ibrahimovic.
Anyukov and Clichy's roles depend on the system that is played by Bilbao. If they play with out and out wingers, then you need to stay back, use your pace. Don't go diving in but jockey. Make it so that the only thing they can possibly do is to get a high cross into the box. Both of our full backs have the pace to match their opponents today, and should do just that. If they play without wingers, then get narrow and form a tight back four to make sure that there is no space for them and be prepared to go in with tackles.
Denisov needs to be the barrier in front of the back four today. He should be constantly making tackles and winning the ball. If Toure makes his surging runs forward, he must get in there and win the ball. Make a foul if necessary, but he must not get forward.
Dzogaev and Marchisio need to work together today to support. One should sit deep alongside Denisov in the defensive midfield role. The other should get higher up. Xavi will be a starter in their midfield and between them they need to make sure he is pressured. If he drops really deep as he is known to, then let him have it, but as soon as he crosses the halfway line get him, stop him playing any nice football. Take it in turns, give each other breathers and make sure they do not get any time on the ball.
Di Maria and Rodriguez should help out defensively. They are likely to play Richards and Cole in attacking roles, virtually as wing backs. Di Maria and Rodriguez should get back but be mindful of the opportunities on the counter attack.
ATTACKING
Most of our attacking threat will come on the counter attack. When we get the ball, we should quickly drive forward. Ibrahimovic is the focal point of our attacks and he should use his skill and strength to hold up the play to bring in our skillful midfielders.
Anyukov and Clichy should both bomb forward down the wings when the opportunity arises. Burst forward and go attack Richards and Cole, particularly Richards, who isn't great defensively. Use your pace, both of you are good crossers of the ball and should look for Ibrahimovic.
Di Maria and Rodriguez can both take on their men, or come inside and have a shot on goal. Kompany and Chiellini may be strong but neither are particularly quick and would be quick to react to the threat if they came infield and surprised them. Both can shoot from range and should try that, make runs in, be skillful and beat your man, whether it's full back or centre back.
Dzogaev should be the creative player in our midfield and should be looking to spray those long passes through to the forwards. He should also get forward and support Ibrahimovic as much as possible. He should look to take long range shots and get in the space between their midfield and defense. Marchisio should make the driving runs, and also be willing to take a shot from range. He has a high work rate and should get in between their midfielders and make it difficult for them to organise their shape. Denisov should not contribute much offensively, but should look to play long balls up.
Ibrahimovic is taller than both Kompany and Chiellini and can beat either of them in the air. Use that. Win headers, either knock the ball down for the other attackers, or have a shot on goal. De Gea isn't great at claiming crosses so if does come out, pressure him, get in his way. He makes errors here and we can punish him. Also, you will be on the receiving end of long balls. When this happens, look to keep it using your strength and then choose the best option.
SET PIECES
Left Corner - Di Maria
Right Corner - Dzogaev
Free Kicks - Rodriguez/Dzogaev
Penalties - Ibrahimovic
SUBSTITUTIONS
If winning then bring on Carrick for Dzogaev. Continue with our 4-5-1 but Marchisio gets forward a little more and Carrick sits alongside Denisov. The fresh legs should help us to hold out the game and keep possession with Carrick's ball retention skills.
If drawing then bring on Lennon for Rodriguez. Move Di Maria to the left, Lennon to the right and he should use his pace to run at a tiring Bilbao defense. Continue to look for opportunities on the counter attack.
If losing bring on Eto'o to partner Ibrahimovic, moving to 4-4-2 with Marchisio withdrawn. Look to attack. Use the additional pace of Eto'o to make runs across the defense while Ibrahimovic continues to be the big man up to.
We can win this game. Believe it and we will win.
