WWE Hall of Fame suggestion
Jim Johnson?
Stone Cold wouldn't have been quite the same without him.
Just throwing it out there.....

Have any other backstage people ever been inducted?

Re: WWE Hall of Fame suggestion
Neither would the Ultimate Warrior!
I'm unsure about this to be honest, the HoF seems to be for onscreen characters, and although I think Jim Johnston's contribution has been huge, I'm unsure that anyone would even recognise him if they walked past him in the street, the guy who does the Promo videos also does a fantastic job fairly regularly too, same as the ring crew and the pyro guys.
I'm just not sure Johnston deserves any more mentions than these guys

Always respect your views Gaffer but...
Jim Johnston - Produced entrance music for countless Wrestlers since the 1980's, music that went a long way to making people like the Rock and Stone Cold huge stars. Made millions for Vince.
Dave* "The Pyro Guy"
Of course I understand how legit the Hall of Fame is and I haven't a clue what the guy looks like but still he's arguably had a huge part to play in Wrestling mainstream success. I just think he deserves a nod.
*May not be called Dave.

Silver, I know how long Johnston has been about, he's been writing some great stuff, like I say the Warrior's tune alone gets him an eternal thumbs up.
My tongue was firmly in my cheek with "Dave the pyro guy" but the. Video promo guy does just as important a job hyping feuds/PPV's in my opinion, infact, I can't recall his name but I'm sure HBK name dropped him in his farewell address
I do agree he has done an unbelievable job but I'm just not sure a behind the scenes guy like that and an honour like this go hand in hand, I'd have no problems at all if he did get inducted but from a personal point of view he just doesn't have the type of role that merits it

I agree, the music is a massive part of wrestling, it's not easy to come up with all those iconic entrance themes.

Surely that's the main issue. No other backstage people have been inducted yet, which suggests that the Hall of Fame is for on-screen characters only.

I've slept on it, and whilst he should be in the HOF, Jim Johnston will never be inducted in its current format.
I doubt he cares too much, no doubt he's absolutely minted.
I'm going to start fighting Dave The Pyro Guy's Corner...

Dave the pyro guy has done more for this industry than he will ever receive credit for! It brings a tear to my eye to think he will not get the recognistion he deserves! Damn this cruel cruel world!

Dave the Pyro did a great job with the undertaker at the Elimination Chamber in 2010.
Jim Johnston is a great call but out of the two I would put Dale Oliver as the better of the two.

Re: WWE Hall of Fame suggestion
I remember as a kid several wrestlers that I loved going over to WCW and liking them less because they didn't have the same entrance music.
Hogans was pretty bad until he went Hollywood as i recall
