Hall of Fame

The WWE Hall of Fame divides opinion. Some believe its a presigious honour to be inducted whilst others feel its value has somewhat plummeted given some of the bizarre inductees over the years. 'Superstar' Billy Graham is an inductee but in April 2011, Graham requested his name to be removed from the Hall of fame, saying "It is a shameless organization to induct a bloodthirsty animal such as Abdullah The Butcher into their worthless and embarrassing Hall of Fame and I want the name of Superstar Billy Graham to be no part of it."

In my eyes, a 'Hall of Fame' is a very elite collection of individuals who are massive legends in their trade who have achieved great success and are held in high esteem by their peers. The word 'Legend' is used far too loosely in this day and age, some of the people referred to as 'legends' are laughable, and some of the names currently in the Hall of Fame who i personally feel dont deserve to be in there are Koko B Ware, Jim Duggan, Tito Santana, Sunny, Yokozuna, Ted DiBiase and Edge, amongst others. I also dont think Eddie Guerrero should be in there and feel he was only inducted as a gesture to the Guerrero family after his death. I dont think his accomplishments warrant a place. I could also make a case for Curt Hennig and Andre The Giant not to be in there.

What i want you do to is compile your Top 10 list of legit, out and out deserved WWE Hall of Famers. It doesnt have to be in a particular order. My top 10 Hall of Famers are:

I know the WWE like to make a big annual event of the Hall of Fame and they need to induct several names per year to make a night of it, but at this rate the Hall of Fame is going to be tarnished as pretty much everyone who has ever wrestled in the business and won a championship will be inducted. I mean, who is there to induct next year who fully warrants a place?

I think Its very contrived by Vince himself. If you accept it for what it is then it has its place, but when wrestlers and fans alike claim it to be the most prestigious honour when all it says is, said wrestlers are in Vince's good books. Its a popularity contest, they may not be the most deserving but he was popular, lets get him in there.

There is a case to be made that there are plenty of legit guys who deserve the honour, but it is well and truly tainted now. The way I would of liked to have seen it done is have 1 guy inducted in it a year and take the whole hour or 2 to celebrate their impact on pro-wrestling. Instead of the diluted 20min speech we have now.

i disagree with you Mr H a hall of fame should be what it is, there are people in it who shouldnt be in it yet such as koko b ware and people who arent in it such as sammartino, savage etc
You only have to look at the boxing hall of fame and no one bashes that really.

As usual, I pretty much agree with Zoot.

The only change I would have from this list is to take Brett out and put Flair in.

Don't know about Flair for Bret, if it's based on WWF/E career alone then for me Bret had a far superior career in that organisation
