The Official 2013 Wales v England bickering thread.
First topic message reminder :
2013 bickering thread
OK, every year we see threads that actually contain really good rugby discussion derailed by the ongoing Wales vs England bickering and WUMMING! I will name no names. I guess we have all been guilty.
Since most of the general bickering comes from the respective fans of Wales and England ; I thought I would create a thread for it in an effort to keep decent rugby discussion relatively WUM free in other threads.
Let it commence

They get paid £300Million for the contract. They need to get 10,000 security personel for 21 days at £8.20 per hour approximately.
The maths on that add up to less than £20million in staff costs. Anyone in an HR operation can tell to you that 80% of the cost is staff wage. So if they only employ 7,000 people and they say they make a £50million loss. Where did the thick end of £250Million go? You don't developing new systems for the three week process and if they employ 200 times that staff level on normal basis then they don't need it either.
The questions asked about "Is it embarrassing" make nice headlines, but miss the point that this is tax payer money that go missing. They should be made to pay back every penny.

Re: The Official 2013 Wales v England bickering thread.
well firstly the staffing cost would be significantly ore than £8.20- look at 12 quid across the board- as many would have to be subbed, managers and team leaders are needed and the ni cost which adds 10% to the staffing.. the cost of just sourceing the staffing that amount would also cost a pretty ..
But anyway nothing adds up. The fact is I do many tenders and they are tough- but you just cant get it that wrong at that level

Muchos is for countable nouns. His English ha mejorado mucho.
As a man from Barcelona I thought you would've known that. Maybe that bang over the head by Basil unknowingly affected your Spanish.

Re: The Official 2013 Wales v England bickering thread.
I'd like to clear up this confusion about the Welsh being sheep-shaggers. Its a common misconception that the welsh love their sheep.
This is actually incorrect. It actually came about due to the english habits of sheep-shagging back in ye olden days and the differnce in the relevant criminal penalty for stealing or shagging a sheep.
Bad in ye olde' days, in the english countryside, if a man was caught stealing a sheep, he'd have his hands cut off, if he was caught nailing a sheep, he'd only lose a finger. The welsh, thieving little buggars we are, cottoned on to this fact. So, whenever a welshman was caught stealing sheep in England, he'd simply say he was shagging them to lose a finger, instead of a hand.
You can check this online.
Also, you might want to check the ratio of sheep:people in wales and then england.

Don't you think the English are so pompous and too structured and reserved to play rugby with enough of the freedom to ever trascend to true success? and the Welsh are overly ambitious and have aspiration far higher than their limited ability will ever allow?

I watch that vid from time to time, it makes me grin like an idiot, gives me a tingling punch-the-air feeling in my chest, a tear in my eye remembering watching every England match with my late father.
Happy times.

Thanks for the link mate. Quality stuff. I am guilty of forgetting sometimes just how good England were back then. Will Greenwood is one of my all time favourites.
That was simply a stunning team and a real joy to watch in flow.

Yes it can be reassuring even in the darkest times of great despair to be able to looking back on one moment when things were good, isn't it? You have to hoping there are some good times for the new generation who might not remember back then so they too can believe.

Poor video. Too much Wilkinson kicks or drop goals. Made me snore.
England can still play rugby like that, they just don't do it very often. Away against France this year there was plenty of good rugby on display from England.

Whereas the Pomeranians, where you clearly hail from, have such poor communication skills on the pitch that they cannot understand each other

How many of the Olympics gold medals for Team GB have been won by Welsh athletes? Would England be better off declaring independence from Wales and going it alone with Scotland?

We've had one in the cycling - Geraint Thomas. That's the lot, I think.
Apparently if Yorkshire was competing alone in the Olympics, it would be tenth in the medal table.

Per capita (is that the right spelling) Scotland and Wales are actually streets ahead of the English.

I had the displeasure of going to watch Team GB play South Korea at MS on Saturday, Wendyball is such a dull game to watch when compared to Rugby, but there was a moment of joy when the very Welsh people next to me started singing GSTQ.
They were loving it.
It got me thinking maybe they should sing it at all rugby games too as well as their less well known anthem?
We're all British at the end of the day.

Why lie? They either were not very welsh or they didn't sing it (as a very welsh person wouldn't class themselves as British)
