Re: Alexander v Khan
I think if Alexander hits Khan with the shots he hit Maidana with he KO's him within 8 rounds. I think at his best he is better than Khan in too many departments and could just as easily outbox him for a comfortable decision.
I dont see how Khan can beat a man with better boxing skills inside and out, sharper footwork, a stronger chin and at least equal punch power.

Funny how 1 win and everyone seems to rate Alexander highly again, forgetting he arguably lost the 3 fights beforehand.

Re: Alexander v Khan
What was it about Alexander's shots against Maidana that makes you believe he's got great punch power?
I don't really buy it.

Kotelnik, Bradley and Matthyse highlighted his level perfectly, having trouble with one style of fighter is one thing but struggling against three completely different fighters is something totally different. How he got the decisions over Kotelnik and Matthyse only the judges know.

Re: Alexander v Khan
I dont really see the Maidana fights as having any real bearing on a Khan/Alexander fight.
Now assuminng the fight happends at 147 I think there will be an element of unknown quantity about how Khans speed, strength and power would be affected by the additional weight. But if isnt significantly affected then I would tend to favour Khan. This would be a boxing match between two fighters who generally rely on similar attributes to beat their opponent. Namely speed and accuracy. Khans weakness thus far has been dealing with pressure and possibly still question marks over his durability. But Alexander doesnt really bring this to a fight, unless he can show he can adapt very well and change his style to pressure Khan. Peterson did this and the blueprint is out there so it cant be ruled out. But its more likely Alexander would look to box Khan in a mainly long to medium range fight. I ust suspect Khan has the edge in speed and accuracy to beat Alexander at his own game. However its got to the stage that the vunerability in Khans game has become so apparent that you would think all opponents fighting him would have a pressure gameplan at least as a plan B if their more natural style isnt effective. This is more or less what Peterson did. If Alexander can do this then I think he could beat Khan because he showed against Maidan he can be physical up close if he has to be. But if he fights his more natural way I think Khan beats him at his own game.
