To be fair, the 49ers are one of the few teams remaining that rely heavily on their running attack. That should change this year with fresh blood at receiver. Look at the Skins last year - went through 3 starting running backs - or the Browns likewise. In this league you need a passing game or 2 quality running backs to share the load if you are going to ground and pound.

Fair enough but after two injuries considered career ending for some and a fractured hip not too longo ago, hopefully hw can splt carries.

in other news the titans are apparently coming closer to trading for samuel, that would give the titans some very good corners, McCourty is already one of the top young corners in the league and very underated, verner is also very good

The Bears are stacked at WR now. I made them my pick for the division on NFLuk.

I wouldn't say a lot of the Bears fellas are incredibly good though. Marshall is class (but crazy), Weems is a return man more than reciever, as is Hester. Knox could be out for a long time, Earl Bennett is ok but not great. Thomas is again nothing outstanding.

Agree with the above.

Marshall adds a lot to the team, but otherwise your talking bit part players adding to what was previously a questionable WR corp built on speed.

There Wideouts are not at the level of Green Bay especially once you bring Tight Ends into the mix

I know where you're both coming from but I think the sheer number of players they have all have potential to make a big splash.

I'm in know way suggesting they have the best group, yet.

Devin Thomas sucks as a WR. Good special teams player but almost useless as a WR. He should be excellent given his size and speed but the guy just doesn't know how to run his routes properly. Shame, cos like I say, he has the physical tools... pity about the smarts.

The Giants have signed third year safety Stevie Brown.

Drafted in the 7th round by Oakland in 2010 he had 29 tackles in 15 games during his rookie year, including 5 in one game vs San Diego. He was waived in the 2011 final cut, and spent 3 days with Carolina before being signed by the Colts on Sept. 21st. He made 5 tackles in 8 games before being placed on IR in November.

He played linebacker in his junior year in 2008 and switched to safety and became a Michigan Wolverines team captain in his senior year where he led the team with 80 tackles.

I really don't know how Saints are going to survive, they are over the cap already and have to sign Brees. Rumours are they have to release guys before the draft.

Just release the suspended guys... now that would be cruel.

As a Pats fan at some points last season we could have done with Barrett Rudd
It felt as if we might as well not have a secondary as they were more helpless than an ice cream on a snowy day

Ruud is not very good. Gives up too many yards for a MLB. Lost his spot to a 4th rounder too, so he isn't great.
