Re: Fantasy European League Homepage™
I like Steven Fletcher
Anyway, Utd really bottled it last night.
Why start without your in form player (Valencia) who would have tested Clichy all night long.
Utd played for the draw and deservedly lost.
Fergie going red and nearly choking on his hubba bubba after he claims Mancini was making comments to ref all game.....pot, kettle, black comes to mind.
Havent said this ever but thought Gareth Barry was immense last night.
For the first time in a long time, the title race is more watchable than the relegation battle at the business end.

Re: Fantasy European League Homepage™
Utd did bottle it without question but I think the 6-1 drubbing was very much in Fergie's mind, that game they played much more open and as a result were ripped to shreds by the attacking force of City, this time he thought to park the bus ala Chelsea but it just failed to work in one lapse of concentration.
Hopefully this result is the catalyst for Utd to realise that the squad does need an overhaul in the summer and that the midfield especially needs improvement, there was no creativeness in that team last night nor someone who could halt the likes of Toure marauding through the centre.

To be fair though, can anyone on this planet stop Yaya Toure marauding forward?

It'd be a hard task certainly.
Question of the day there then, who would be the best player to halt Toure?

Nowadays... Someone huge. Khedira springs to mind. I'd put my money on Schweinsteiger.

Look at doing it in a couple of weeks Kam. Something like:
W/c 30 April 2012 - Week 11/Semi Finals
w/c 7 May 2012 - Cup final/awards
w/c 14 may - sort who is in for season 2, start draft
w/c 21 may - transfers,
w/c 28 may - week 1
sound good?

Re: Fantasy European League Homepage™
Would you keep the same teams?
Personally I'd be tempted to do the same ones but without Real and Barcelona (any two out of PSG, Bilbao, Valencia, Athletico Madrid, Porto, Dortmund, Benfica, Malaga)

We'll relegate the side that finish bottom and promote someone like Dortmund, discuss it next week. Unsure on Barca/Real - remember they started with negative budgets.

Re: Fantasy European League Homepage™
They did but the sides were still worth over 100m more than the next nearest rival which was a huge difference and it's no coincidence that who's the top two clubs fighting it out for the title in the final week.

To be honest mate, the rule is usually that you cant re-pick your side unless there are no predos stated.
