France vs Ireland match thread.
First topic message reminder :
France: C Poitrenaud (Toulouse), V Clerc (Toulouse), A Rougerie (Clermont Auvergne), W Fofana (Clermont Auvergne), J Malzieu (Clermont Auvergne), F Trinh-Duc (Montpellier), M Parra (Clermont Auvergne), JB Poux (Toulouse), D Szarzewski (Stade Francais), N Mas (Perpignan), P Pape (Stade Francais), Y Maestri (Toulouse), T Dusautoir (Toulouse), J Bonnaire (Clermont Auvergne), I Harinordoquy (Biarritz)
Replacements: W Servat (Toulouse), V Debaty (Clermont Auvergne), L Nallet (Racing Metro), L Picamoles (Toulouse), J Dupuy (Stade Francais), L Beauxis (Toulouse), M Mermoz (Perpignan)
Ireland: R Kearney (Leinster); T Bowe (Ospreys), K Earls (Munster), G D'Arcy (Leinster), A Trimble (Ulster); J Sexton (Leinster), C Murray (Munster); C Healy (Leinster), R Best (Ulster), M Ross (Leinster), D O'Callaghan (Munster), P O'Connell (Munster), S Ferris (Ulster), S O'Brien (Leinster), J Heaslip (Leinster)
Replacements: S Cronin (Leinster), T Court (Ulster), D Ryan (Munster), P O'Mahony (Munster), E Reddan (Leinster), R O'Gara (Munster), F McFadden (Leinster)
After a nice exhausting weekend by the dam, I am at least back early enough to watch this match.
Irealand is up against it, but the French have not yet played a team in great form so this one might go either way.
Good luck to me Irish mates.
Of course I will be supporting the boys in green.

The French are only 1 lucky try from being right back in this, and they are always very dangerous from every part of the field.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
To be fair, you were deservedly beaten twice though, refereeing decisions aside. Not sure of the relevance of that?
Not the last 2 in the 6-N Rev. Two bad ref decisions meant ye won them both. How can you not see the relevence? Refs make mistakes and it changes games. In every game.
Welcome back btw.
I don't want to really hijack the thread with this, but I don't really get how people who bring up that Mike Phillips try last year, conveniently forget the blatant BOD knock on before 3 of your points. So the score would still be a Welsh win even if we dropped our 7 points and your 3.
It's a moot point anyway, as he should be yellowed and my comment was clearly throwaway in response to your God is Irish line.
Best of luck for the Second Half. Don't look like losing anyway. I'll leave you lot to it.

France getting frustrated here. Watch out for more risks/mistakes from them. Ones we must punish.
We need of get hold of the ball and go through the phases. Frustrate them even more.

Can we please not have a Wales / Ireland argument on this thread...
We need Ireland to smash the French for us, so their in pieces for Wales grand slam winning game.
Up the greens!

That's why they invented Tena Lady you know...
Yeah I'm at home in my jimjams I don't like watching rugby in the pub. There's no guarantee you get a good seat, and you always get interrupted when you do.
Really hope Ireland can win this. I really hope Tommy could get a third too wouldn't that be nice. 12 years after BOD did the same?

Wales have to play Italy first!
Paul O'Connell is sealing off the ball at every single ruck in this game. It's getting ridiculous.

game on now. poor kick by kearney aimless. not a great attempt to tackle him either.
now i would look at reddan/murray. we will need to score again..

That looked pretty forward to me.
Lads, I have no problem saying that anyone who thought we should go wide was wrong. You've seen what has happened so far when we have tried to be expansive.
