Great defence from the Eagles there, some huge hits but Ireland need to take points when they get chances.

That is one thing about this USA team,t hey ahve a really good scramble defence, to start with they'll be hard to break down. Reckon Ireland should ahve gone for 3 points. Steady themselves first and always keep the score board ticking over. Plenty of time to go for tries later.

The Irish are lloking like they want to run it, not a bad start by them, the Eagles are tackling their hearts out, but you would expect the wall to break eventaully

The kicking in this comp has been well off so far. Is it the new ball?

Hmm, that's Paterson, Wilko and Sexton all struggling to kick at the posts. Ir ROG ever starts missing as well, something must be up with the ball! Can't all just be a coincidence can it?! Just not used to seeing these guys miss.

Oh Tommy (blush). He must drop the soap a lot in the shower...
Do you think this world cup will be remembered for the most missed kicks? They're all having a bit of a mare....even Wilko.

Re: Ireland v USA - Live Match Thread & Post Match Discussion
I'm more surprised by Paterson to be honest Cari! He's got an even better record then Wilko. His unfortunate conversion aside, he missed a couple by quite a way as well, but then the wind in their match was tricky. I dunno, tis just all a bit weird....
Irealnd really need to score some points to settle themselves I think.

Thought Bowe was part of the tackle and should have a penalty to USA.

They look good ireland. Very good at moving the ball around quickly.
Sort of team that could go well in our conditions. No nonsense stuff. Good to see.

I would never call a ref a cheat or biased. Incompetent and cozy however I'm ok with.
