Dave Charnley - RIP
http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/blog/2012/mar/03/dave-charnley-british-boxer-dies
Tragic news from the world of boxing, the passing of British great Dave Charnley, one of the finest form these shores to never win a world title. excellent tribute here from the guardian, would take huge issue with his claim that aside from Herol Graham he is the best brit to never win a world title as obviously Peerless Jim cannot be overlooked but a truly great fighter who will be sorely missed. RIP

Re: Dave Charnley - RIP
This is sad.
Another link to the golden age severed. To this day, I've never seen the second title fight against Brown although, like many of us, I have read reams about it.
Fine fighter and clearly a very nice guy to boot.

Re: Dave Charnley - RIP
Sad news. Anyone who can give a genuinely great Lightweight champion such as 'Old Bones' all they can handle three times over has clearly reached the kind of heights most could only dream of.
Rest in Peace.
