Wales doing well, so.... standard must be poor
From Sunday's the Rugby Paper, Colin Boag "If Wales are good then Six Nations is average". Why don't they copy and paste from articles in previous years when England were not all conquering. It seems to be that whenever Wales outperform their more illustrious neighbours, they are benefitting from substandard opposition. Change the record please!!!!!! To say Wales were lucky to win in both Dublin and Twickenham is no different to the annual bemoaning of near misses by the plucky Scots (for example)when they are unlucky losers of close games. The fact is Wales DID win. They found a way to win, and to say the Six Nations is average is just plain patronising to the team that clearly deserves to sit at the top of the table.
In the same paper, Nick Cain (one week later) quotes "evidence" that Strettle did score. He does not mention the fact on another day, Tom Croft's ridiculously dangerous lineout manoeuvre against Warburton was far more dangerous than what Alain Rolland saw in the semi final and could have reduced England to 14. Nor does he question why a so called international class winger cannot finish off a gilt edged opportunity with the last move of the match. Strettle should himself stop asking why the TMO failed and instead question why he himself failed to score. Come on England, leave the sour grapes to us Welsh!!!!
If a team wins the six nations or the premiership in football etc, it is very rarely because of luck and as such if England lose by seven points, no amount of bleating is going change the result.

Hey ho Weybridge. Where have you been all my life! Like you i read TRP and argue with what Colin Boag says. Like the dig against Ferris' yellow for the spear on Evans. Did you see the photo in the TRP the week after under Boag's column. Not that he me tioned it. Boag said not even a yellow yet the bloke was cited though he got off.
