Re: wales overall player ratings
I wouldn't say Halfpenny deserves an 8. His kicking might but against Italy and England he looked clueless with ball in hand, hesitant, totally lacking in creativity and of course stupid for the yellow. He runs down too many blind alleys and risks getting isolated and turned over. Just taps him down to a 7 or 6 out of 10.

Re: wales overall player ratings
How are we scoring this? As an average I think gill is a 7/8 but he only played once!
Lydaite for me has been our best forward. It's not just that he makes loads of tackles, it's the effectiveness of them. He doesn't drag them down over a few yards - he chops them down on the spot! Also throwing in a few huge hits and his ball carrying is coming on. 9.
Preistland has good distribution (I don't care about a 10s ability to not tackle so I won't mark down for that) but he keeps butchering scoring chances with aimless kicking... Which he also got away with in the world cup. It won't be good enough when we play against the big S/H teams. 5.
Most of the squad have slotted in well. Cuthbert still had a lot to learn and AWJ could fall behind Evans and Charteris but on the whole we look very settled as a side. Everyone knows there job and were not just looking for Shane's magic...
