Who has been your man of the tournament in this year's 6 nations?
606 v2 6 nations player of the tournament - initial shortlist
First topic message reminder :
As suggested by Biltongbek the top 10 in this poll will go into next week's 606 v2 6 nations player of the tournament voted by you.
Please tell me if you believe I have left anyone out.
Multi choice is allowed so the top 10 are chosen. Anyone you think deserves to be there say so. The highest 10 will make the short list.

I know but Ryan to be honest was not even MOTM, Ferris was a 1 man rush defence. I'm strugggling to recall a better performance from a "chopper style" blind side flanker. Maybe Dusatoir in the RWC is the only one I can think of off the top of my head.
Ferris was litteraly unbelieveable, it's great to see him play like that again.

I concur, Ferris was my MOTM too. Ryan had a very good game though and Gray stood out, as usual, in a beaten side.
Like I say I was harsh on Gray before, hes a quality player who has enormous potential. He's played well in the games I've seen but I think there have been better players this tournament.
Rennie has been Scotlands best player imo.

Hmm, stretching things a little there, rodders. He played extremely well, no doubt, but all he had to do was secure solid lineout ball on his own throw - Best had to be bold and go for the corner and then make the right call, the support players had to protect the ball, Reddan had to give the right pass, etc. All-in-all, a brilliant pre-planned move and one that I suspect was designed to take advantage of wee Greig Laidlaw's defensive weakness (ie knowing that there was a good chance that Scotland would pull across the blindside winger, S Lamont, to help protect the 10 channel. Full credit to Ireland's attack coach and wonderfully executedroddersm wrote:I don't recall saying that Ryan was better than Gray? I said he outplayed him last weekend, which is a debatable point but not a rediculous one.
He also created Bests try.
Anyways in my opinion the short list is not a great reflection of the standout players of the tournament , but thats like... just my opinion man

It was Ryan who gave the scoring pass wasn't it?? Anyways this is just splitting hairs.
Ryan had a good game, Gray had a good game, Ferris was better than either..... so everyone's a winner

No actually it was O'Mahoney who supplied the pass.

I'm going with Wesley Fofana as he has shown some serious skills since coming onto the international stage. A young man who looks like he was born to play rugby at the highest level and a try in every game so far is impressive.
