League Breakdown and Rules
- Spoiler:
- Welcome to the 606v2 Euro Division
Where this will be different to the existing leagues is that the sides involved are entirely made up.
You don't inherit a pre-made European side.
Instead you make your own.
You would initially start with £150m with which to buy a MINIMUM of 15 players and a MAXIMUM of 23 players.
The prices for these players are determined entirely through the transfermarkt website.
http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/
But here's where it gets interesting...the prices that are used on transfermarkt are the minimum you can bid, because other people in the league may also want the same person, so do you risk bidding the flat fee or do you bid more (increased bids have to be a minimum £500k more), the other point of note at this stage is that the maximum value player you can bid on is £15m (though you can choose to bid more than the £15m to get the player)
You then get an ADDITIONAL £50m with which to purchase upto 2 STAR players (min 1), though the maximum you can spend on 1 player is £35m.
This will then result in you having a team of a minimum of 16 players and maximum of 25 players.
You then have to name the team, give it a location where they play their home games and send this via PM to myself and Sodhat before the cut off point (to be decided).
Results of who got which player will then be announced and for those that lost out on players due to being outbid, a second chance is available to acquire players before the league starts, and third etc if needed.
Number of leagues is dependent upon how many players participate.
Foreign transfers.
As the only deciding factor for selling a player is cash then there shouldn't be wrangles over if a TP is accepted or not, if you have the cash you can buy!
TPs though will only go through once a week on a Sunday night for the week ahead.
Max transfer value for bringing in a player from foreign transfers is £15m in Season 1.
You can only make 2 foreign transfers per week.
Domestic transfers
Players can move only twice between domestic clubs per season, once they have moved twice you will have to wait until the following season to sell to another domestic club.
They can though be released or sold to an outside club.
For anyone that joins the league after it begins then the following rule applies for the first two weeks:
Transfers between 2 domestic clubs must be within 20% of each other in total monetary value. So for example if Team A wish to buy a player from Team B worth £10m then they must offer between £8-£12m in player/cash value.
Note that once 2 weeks have passed then the manager is allowed to but and sell as they please but this rule is in place to combat the usual bombardment of silly offers that litter the new managers page.
Injuries
Injuries shall be announced once per week on a Sunday night, they shall consist of 2 players, one based from the team picked for the previous weeks game and one from the entire squad.
Tactics
Each week you shall play 1 game, either league or cup (no more than one game per week though), tactics for this game shall consist of a team sheet, injuries for your team, if your team is home or away and a maximum of 15 bullet point lines worth of team instructions.
As well as the tactical instructions you are allowed 2 extra lines of a team talk to motivate your players, show your worth not just for tactics but how you build players up for the game!
Cash
Each week you receive 2m for a win, 1m for a draw, zilch for a loss.
You also receive an extra £2m per week for ensuring your tactics are handed in on time and you've voted on the results.
Each week there shall be a £1m cash bonus to the team voted best tactics.
Hopefully this is enough to entice to sign up! If you have any further questions then please do not hesitate to ask and I look forward to seeing your team sheets!

Real Ale Sociedad v Viva City
Tight game. Ultimatly Adebayor was able to bully Lescott today and managed to beat him to a cross. Hamsik was very lively, Heitinga & Dunne struggled against top class attackers in Huntelaar & Hamsik. Montoya using his speed to get up the pitch was a risk playing against Menez who has the pace to expose gaps quick and efficiently.
Viva City are stronger on paper but Real Ale are well set up defensively to get the draw
Viva's team are stronger on paper but Twist has set his team up well and his tactics are pretty much spot on which earns his team a very good draw.
Viva city controlled the middle of the park and scored early on, but with the double substitution by Real Ale that made the difference on the wings and Agbonlahor got the equaliser.
Tactics good by Real Ale, team is strong too. Good Tactics by Viva this week, Very well written in the shorter format.

Re: The 606V2 Fantastic Fantasy League Homepage V
FC United....... v LSN
London Silly Nannies are able to exploit the gaps left on the wings for the very attacking FC United Midfield three, while Nannies strong CDM combo are able to keep them frustrated.
FC UofB very strong in attack but a bit weak in defence. Silly Nannies also very strong in attack but a lot more solid in defence and defensive midfield which gets them the win.
With both teams using the same formation of 4-2-3-1, I think The Nannies will have the firepower over FC United who will miss Lassand Diarra greatly with Bridcutt being over run in midfield.
Similar formations but FC United just feels like two teams, one with a Brazilian class to it, the other with a mixture of players that play for mediocre teams and this gulf in class becomes apparent against a tight unit like Nannies.
Sporting v CoN
Not sure who is supposed to be covering who from City's tactics and from Sideburns frontline, it did need to be a bit more detailed. Sideburns midfield three dictate a lot of the play, and their two wingers get a lot of joy on the flanks.
Sideburns had a very strong 4-3-3 with Keita and Elias sitting in midfield, City of Norwich went with a 4-4-2 with Carrick holding in midfield, both teams had a lot of emphasis on attacking and both sides earned a draw.
This shall be a very tight game with Sideburns just nicking it due to a great performance in goal by Neuer. Norwich FC will be hampered by the lack of mobility in their full back area exposing Gomes to crosses which he looks flappy under.
I can see the speed of the two wingers for Sideburns causing the two ageing FBs real issues this game.
Jacamos v WTR
Both set of tactics cancel each other out. A good matched game by two very good sides.
Rangers very strong out wide as well as solid in the middle, creating a lot of chances for Llorente. Jacamos with a very strong side too, a very high scoring game but I feel Jacamos edged it as Gonalons and Gustavo were able to defend better than Scholes and Veloso, and it swung it to Jacamos.
This should be a very close game with two top contenders for the title duelling it out. In the end the formations and players will cancel each other out ending in a draw.
Two best teams in the league for me and impossible to separate them. Real quality game
FC Furious v AFC SD
With FC Furious concentrating on wingers, and Garcia pushing up later, Suarez is able to ghost in on either wing. I can't see any tactics relating to marking or keeping an eye on Swamp Donkeys dangerman - Suarez - and he is able to do a lot of damage.
Swamp Donkeys, very strong frontline, very solid DM's, against Furious who had the defensive side to stop Swamp Donkeys but I feel Tarrabt was unable to affect anything against Van Bommel and Tymoshchuk, and it meant Furious were on the back foot throughout, Swamp Donkeys eventually breaking them down.
With both teams playing the same formation the players will decide this game. The defences and midfield two are similar but it is in the frint four where this game will be won with The Swamp Donkeys having the advantage in this area, leading to a comfortable win for them.
Big gulf in class between the Donkey attack and the Furious defence IMO, Suarez and Cavani cause them no end of problems all afternoon

I don't know. Personally, I was thinking either "you have to pick a winner" or "just state who wins"
eg
Team A v Team B
Team A win.
It's up to the big boss though.

Cheers for selling me Gylfi Sigurdsson Olly, scored both of Swansea's goals this afternoon and quickly forcing his way into my side for the Cup game against FC Furious!
In two minds whether to play a weakened team to minimise the risk of a big player being injured.

Crawley still have a big say in the relegation fight, we go to Dagenham next month and I think we've got Hereford at home to come as well.

Ah, Dagenham. The glamourous face of East London.
Afternoon all, pleased with the pretend result and peeved at West Ham's inability to score more than once...
At least Seedorf looks a solid buy

Evening sod. Good win for you I see.
As for West Ham, I think that goal might have saved Big Sam from pressure. They're 3rd now and are on a slide. Failure to get them promoted will surely result in him being fired?

He's already under pressure in the eyes of some West Ham fans I think - a number of them seem to have it in for him because of his...effective brand of football. So he'll get less time than others might have for that alone.
I think he'll get us up. I actually don't care how we play right now, just win the damn game!

Yeah it's called off. Not been a good week for football with first Abidal and now Muamba. I think it's a heart thing, it's the most common cause of footballers collapsing I think. I think my dad was at Tannadice when Phil O'Donnell collapsed and later died.

Hopefully we will win!
Haven't won on Sky for 5 games in a row now! Albeit three of them were against Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea!

You should have beaten Chelsea (at Stamford Bridge?). They were dreadful. Did Ruddy get sent off and conceded a penalty and that was the reason you ngot beat?

Yeah at Stamford Bridge!
It was 1-1 in the 81st minute and then Ruddy got (debately) sent off, don't think he was the last man. Don't know if we would have won but a point was there.
Also we should have got something at Old Trafford, we missed a hatful of chances to make it 2 or 3 nil, but we couldn't hold out.
