Re: Muamba??
It doesn't look good, from the reports I've seen the defibrilator had to be used and they were trying to rescusitate him on the pitch for over 10 minutes.

Re: Muamba??
ESPN's reporter in the White Hart Lane tunnel says Fabrice Muamba was not breathing when the Bolton midfielder was carried past him. Medical staff were still attempting to resuscitate him and a defibillator had been used.

Re: Muamba??
This reminds me of Marc Foe. Hope he pulls through. Sports is secondary when something like this happens.

ESPN reported that he was still being resuscitated in the ambulance.

I remember when this happened to the late Phil O'Donnell. I hope he pulls through, Muamba's a great player and was having a good game.

Re: Muamba??
The last we heard was that Muamba was on his way to hospital, that he was not breathing and that he was still receiving CPR. That was 35 minutes ago.

people on twitter and facebook , not the most reliable I know, but hope it is true. Some are saying it is confirmed on some news sites, I haven't checked myself,I, like others I presume, am waiting for news from Bolton's website or something more reliable.

If he's breathing again, hope he doesn't suffer from any brain damage and makes a complete recovery.

Re: Muamba??
some good news right there, obviously still too early to say much, but the fact that they got him breathing is a positive

Dunno if this is true or not but:
Andrea Pirlo dedicates Juve's win over Fiorentina to Fabrice Muamba. "He's our colleague, we pray he gets well soon."

If it is, that is a fantastic response, showing more class in his baby toe compared to the damn sun paper!

Reading some of the tweets made by his fellow professionals has put a lump in my throat.
I tip my hat to those in attendance also who apparently clapped the decision to call the match off. Pure class by the Spurs supporters.

Re: Muamba??
This type of thing can happen to anyone. It seems to have been a heart attack of some kind. Fortunately he received medical attention very quickly. If this had happened elsewhere then he may not have received medical attention as quickly. It makes one wonder why more isn't done in schools and colleges to train pupils and students in life saving resuscitation techniques.

There's a few stories about that. Shows a lot of class really, just reading some of the things his fellow pros have put on Twitter had me choked up

Re: Muamba??
Owen Coyle has stated its going to be a crucial 24 hours for Fabrice.
I had my phone off yesterday and missed a text from my mate shortly after he left the ground saying 'I can't get over what I've just seen :-(' I would hate to imagine what witnessing something like that could do for someone.
It really does highlight the stress these guys put their bodies through and it's great to see that regardless of who you follow or where in the world you are that football unites.
Nobody, whether player or fan should ever go to a football match and never return home. Fingers crossed.

I've seen the same sort of thing happen at my local non-league club. It really puts it all into perspective when stuff like this happens.
I really hope that he pulls through.
