Clark/Hawkins incident from todays LV cup final
First topic message reminder :
Have a look at the youtube video;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=d_5Vlsyekio
After the whistle has gone, When Clark gets up he bends Hawkins right arm the wrong way. It's being reported that it dislocated his arm. What are your thoughts on it, should Clark be cited and banned?
In my mind it looks deliberate and therefore should see a fairly long ban. What do you guys think?

Well at least it's on ESPN, Hammer,
Best England/Jeff coverage by an Irish country mile.
+1
Barney, I think most people don't accept the claim that he was only trying to free the ball. And the claim that his only previous citing was when he was 17 for U18, when it was 19 for U20 (the U18 didn't even exist when he was U18).

Another excellent comment from Cockerill.
He's glad it's been dealt with, Hawkins will hopefully make a full recovery and Clark will learn his lesson. Time to put it behind them and focus on the rugby.
Fair play to him again

I rather read the report before making any comments on the length. However it is more than than double the time Hawkins is expected to be out for, which is what people were saying weren't they? He's going to miss the last 5-7 premiership games. Won't be involved with England over the summer (would have definitely gone). He'll then miss around 7 games from the beginning of next season and will have no chance of being involved with England in the AI.
As I said I'll have to read the reasons before making up my mind whether I think it's fair.
Really? A stimulant?
So, you get hot, sweaty, paranoid, make weasel-like twitching movements, dart around with no particular purpose, babble incoherently for hours on end, think you're Johnny Concrete, devastatingly attractive and have an incredibly tiny Winkle... and it's considered a stimulant?!!!
Maybe if you're a Scrum Half, but Stevens is a feckin Prop...
No sense, no, nope, none whatsoever.

Regardless, it's still on the WADA list as a banned stimulant.

If the rules & laws are crazy - we should blame the legislators not the officials who then apply them.
Of course the Stevens ban was in theory a complete ban - ie no training with a rugby team - and not just a match ban.

Just like Richards ban.
The fact of the matter is sadly if you do something that will cause damage to the men in charge (RFU, PremRugby etc) like take drugs or cheat a win you'll get dragged over coals.
If all you do is injure another player then you'll get a match ban and a mention in the papers.
