Re: Boxing books
Some favourites of mine in no particular order
Caly Moyle - Sam Langford, Boxing's Greatest Uncrowned Champion
Harry Otty - Charley Burley and the Black Murderers Row
Mike Silver - The Arc Of Boxing
Adam Pollack - The "In the Ring With" series
Joe Laydon - The Last Great Fight
Jack Kavanaugh - Tunney
Adeyinka Makinde - Dick Tiger
Andrew Gallimore - Babyface Goes to Hollywood
Jon Hotten - The Year of the Locust
All of the above are absolutely excellent, you also need to remove No Ordinary Joe from your list, its bobbins.

Giudice's "Hands of Stone - the life and legend of Roberto Duran" is outstanding.

Re: Boxing books
As for Tyson biographies the best is very possibly "A Savage Business" by Richard Hoffer.
Harry Mullen's Encyclopedia is not worthy of being on the list; if you see it in a bargain bin it's worth the punt but otherwise avoid.
I read a great title, "Champion Joe Louis" by Chris Mead, so long ago I've forgotten it all, suspect it's better than the Joe Louis biog on the list;)
Also, check out "Lords of the Ring(The greatest fighters sonce 1950),40 chapters, each one on a boxer, fantastic ,by Peter Arnold and Bob Mee.
Also just dug up "On the Ropes" by Geoffrey Beattie, something of a (very) minor classic; mostly about British boxers, it's very Brendan Ingle centred, I learnt all about Herol Graham and a lot about the young Naseem Hamed.A nicely personal book.

I've only read segments of it - but Essays on the first Black world champions 1800-1923 is outstanding.
Sadly - its £23 on the kindle!!! So I'm waiting for it to come down in price a bit...
