If he wins 9 frames in one session against Robbo he deserves the title.

Any predictions as to how much Ronnie will squash Robbo?
Ronnie will produce the devastating display of potting and break-building he produced V Mark Williams in the second session on Sunday afternoon to reel off 9 frames in a row V Neil Robertson tomorrow and more or less win him the match.
I suspected that you had a sense of humor

Ryan needs to step it up or Matthew could run away with this session.

Maguire living up to his name - on fire. Leads 11-1 and knocks in another century.

I'd agree but feel Robbo has proved he can go the distance. Can Maguire?

Nah, I don't think so. They might meet in the final but he doesn't seem like WC winning material to me.

But he isn't playing anything special. It is just that his opponent Stephen Hendry is firing too many blanks. If Maguire had to play V the likes of Robertson or O'Sullivan today he would not be in such a dominant winning match situation.

Maguire has a 93% pot sucess for the whole tournement so far. Thats pretty decent in my books.

If Maguire were to win this tournament, could it turn him into the unstoppable juggernaut he threatened to be when he burst onto the scene?

Obviously no one player will dominate but it might do wonders for his confidence.

To be honest, i think that Hendry put his all into this tournement as it could be his last and i would not be suprised to hear a retirement abbouncement after the match.

Hendry stops the rot and still trails 11-2. Can he stretch this match into the last session?

After watching Judd Trump play during this World Championship and during the Masters this year, I really don't think he is anything special. To me he is just a overhyped player, a bit like the American Andy Roddick in tennis who back in 2001 was hyped up by many tennis pundits both in American and in the UK to become the next big superstar of men's tennis.

I am not one for looking too much into things but that walk off by Hendry did look as if he was saying goodbye.
He never waves to the crowd when walking off after loosing a match.
I really think thats it for him.
Anyway, catch you lads tommorrow

The second time in Stephen Hendry's career I believe that he has been beaten at his favourite venue with a session to spare. Ronnie O'Sullivan destroyed Hendry back in 2004 and since then I don't think Hendry has mentally recovered from such a thrashing.

Re: Who will win this years World Championship ?
Until Judd learns the art of playing the right shot at the right time he will never achieve greatness. Ali was right about him. He spends too much time ball bashing.
Yeah that's the end for Hendry. No coming back from that you'd think.
Well played Mags though. He's one guy who doesn't care if his opponent is struggling.

Are you half the cause of Ronnies mental problems?
Re: Who will win this years World Championship ?
judd has the ability- i dont think his problem is ball bashing but much more of an issue than that. he melted , and i have seen that to many times. he looks like the new jimmy white at present..

BBC sport - breaking news. Sad end for the greatest player of all time.
Re: Who will win this years World Championship ?
Yes it is up on the BBC site. And so ends a fantastic career. I am sure his record of seven titles at The Crucible will never be beaten. A credit to the sport and just sad he has bowed out on a low.

Yes it will. Ronnie O'Sullivan if he can keep up his current form he showed to thrash Mark Williams is more than capable of equalling and overtaking Hendry's record of 7 World title wins. Ronnie I believe can get at least 10 World titles by the time his playing career finishes.

I thought last year would have been the time to hang up his cue but considering he had another 147 and reached the quarters it was a better way to go.

Couldn't care less as I am not a Ronnie fan anyway. For me my interest in the World Championship ended when Judd Trump got knocked out by Ali Carter on Monday afternoon.

whats with the ronnie hate anyway.
guy is playing good stuff- i would much rather see him play to his potential than any other player- A ronnie in full flow is one of the best things to witness in the whole world of sport. not many other things compare

Re: Who will win this years World Championship ?
Lets see now. Ronnie has been to The Crucible 19 times and won three world titles so is averaging a title every six and a bit years. At that average to equal Stephen's seven titles it will take him another 24 years and to make it to ten as gboycottnutt predicts it will take him a total of 43 years by which time he'll be 79. Still think it is possible?
