The Road to World Cup 2015
A matter of months after NZ were crowned champions...it all begins again.
The first match, traditionally refereed by the world cup final referee this time.. Craig Joubert saw Mexico beat Jamaica 68 - 14.
Whilst the big names will all be there....i think the competition for the qualifying places is getting better and better.
Who will make its debut this time round...Mexico? Germany?, Morocco?, Kenya? Great to see the sport developing.
It will be interesting to watch...

I would think it will be much of the same I'm afraid.
The IRB wheel is turning to slow in my view.

I also think it will be more of the same, but I'm not sure what the answer is.
At least we've largely moved on from the 106-0 matches that were so completely pointless and the lower tier nations can all play a bit.
Chuck one of these developing sides in there, it would be like feeding your pet goldfish to a Great White!

I do think that if there is going to be a debutant in 2015...it will come from the African region...possibly Tunisia, Morocco, Kenya...?
Namibia has been the strongest (after SA) for so long...but i do think others are catching them up...

My inside tip is Kazachstan. Real grunt in the forwards and like Georgia there is no difference between 1 and 15. They all are square shouldered oxes used to the harshness of their landscapes and therefore perfectly suited to the toil and punishment of modern rugby.
But their secret weapon has to be their Nike "Borat" strip which makes them extremely difficult to tackle. Which is ironic, as the strip makes them extremely exposed to the tackle.

Anyone see the new story about the Kazak shooting team. They recently won a gold medal at a shooting comp in Japan. The organisers had downloaded their anthem from t'interweb. Turns out it was straight from Borat! Alll about potassium imports and having the cleanest prostitutes in the area! Hilarious! I'll find a link...
