Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
I didnt use to think Wade would be, but more I watch him the better he becomes - really reminds me of a faster version than Shane Williams, if England want an attacking winger then think he could be ideal.
Daly is definitely up against it, as some really good prospects coming through at 13, but would certainly have him up there as a potential England international - lot will depend on whether they ever want to play Tuilagi at 12.

Good win for Rebels by the sounds. JOC found his position?

Iam turning into Mr Angry Pooly. Must be the combination of Liverpool's decline, the Reds decline and Sale's poor form!
I'm the other way Nick, have seen Launchbury live once and I didn't know he was playing. Whereas am often impressed in tv.

Parling and Botha equals no carrying.
Robson deserves to tour. Carries tackles and good lineout what more do you want. Maybe not international class but then neither are Parling or Botha for me. At least he plays with a bit more menace

Havent seen him much on TV.
At least Liverpool won a trophy Steve.
An average season from Fulham and a shocking season from Irish.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
Massive Joc fan think centre will be his best spot. Great one on one defender but needs a bit of work on his positioning at 12. Certainly makes his 13 next to hims life difficult defensively. 12 is great for him although with his pace 13 could be the making of him. Imagine Barnes will be 10 until cooper ba k??
Guest- Guest
Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
Think it could end up 10.Barnes 12.JOC tbh, Barnes offers that structured play and would thrive with JOC outside him.
Interesting options for Aus with Cooper out

They would be interchangeable pivots and could be deadly. Who do you think for 13. Horne probably leading the way.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
AAC or maybe Fa'ainga. Think AAC is easily best 13 but prob needed on wing with injuries. Don't really think Horne is Int quality although has improved a lot.

Horne for me
Is unreal. Don't get why people on here don't rate. Think
Now he
Is fit will
Be a fixture in the side. AAC wants to play back 3 all the time so can't see them moving him.
AAC for me not quick enough and does not have enough footwork for Wing. Suits other positions much better

Horne 3rd choice outside centre for me behind AAC and Faainga. Faainga is unreal in defence and runs an honest line which is all you need outside the likes of Cooper, Barnes and JOC

Let's see when they pick the side. For me I would bet a fair bit Horne starting 13 if fit

Bet Pretorius did not expect to be bench for Tahs had a few mares and now second choice. Shows how quick form can go

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
Horne unreal is overating of year lol
I think he's ok but lacks something, never makes an impact for Aus. I'd have AAC miles ahead and Fa'ainga ahead too

Lots of Aussies think he is like Jason little and one of their most talented players for a while. Type it into google you will get lots of hiT's. Really reminds me of little who was superb

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
He's definatley improved, thought he was garbage before injury. Reminds me of Dom Waldouck loads.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
Don't insult me pooly waldouck is a personal bug bear of
Mine. Can't tackle for toffee. Similar injury record to Horne although Horne apparently will never have those biceps issues again now. Horne only 22 still and probably played close to 40 Tahs games and about 7 or 8 caps which ain't bad. Waldouck for me too slight. Chris always a big fan though and he knows his backs.
If I had a list of players I loathe waldouck, banahan, dowson , murphy of Gloucester, John Rudd, DOC, cussiter, Carlos spencer, medard, Kelly brown, Scott lawson, Tim visser, mears etc would all feature. Players I just simply don't get or players I think are 1 season wonders. Charteris is another

Ha ha I remember his last game vs glos for Irish. Subbed within 40 minutes for a horror show. So many clubs signed him. Why????

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
Attacking wise like Waldouck anyway lol. I do think he's a good player but fail to see him nailing an Aus spot with better players about.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
waldouck was going to be a very good player, but then when he was getting in the England set up he's got injury after injury and his progress has been stopped and Wasps never settled on whether he's a 12 or 13, which never helped. Think he's out for the season again now too.
You almost made a team of the players you dislike there Mat!

I could add to the list Chris easily !!! Varndell and hook when played ten or 15 I am a hook fan though.SOB is another along with kankowski. Everybody has players they don't get.
Guest- Guest
Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
just need a hooker and we have a team!
used to think the same about Varndell but Wasps have changed him into more than just a finisher.
i think my all time favourite player is Andy Goode - how can anyone that shape be a professional rugby player in the backline? Must have been one of those fat kids at school whose parent was a teacher and didnt let him go in the front row.
andy powell is also another great of mine, he went up so highly in my estimation after the golf cart incident, I never knew he was clever enough to drive a golf cart!

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
There were always great stories about Powell when he was at Wasps - a throwback to the 80s with what he got up to! Like you say though Mat, a really nice bloke.
Beaudan Barret does look a good player - love the lines he sends Savea on, first time I've seen him this season and he's run over about 5 sharks! Always good to see forwards put on their ars es by a back!
Anyone recommend a good hooker in the s15?

Lienderburg is probably the form hook in SA, very good basics. Outside shot for a SA call up along with BdP, Strauss, Chillboy.

Lots of possession for the Reds, but they are very lateral and struggling to get across the gainline.
Really young side, don't think they have a player over 26 years old in the starting XV!!!

They are seriously lacking in direction. A lot of responsibility on Genia with a 4th choice 10 in there, and he doesn't seem to be coping too well with the pressure.

Credit to the Reds though, despite lacking the ability to control the game right now, they are finding a way to get the job done. Back row have been very good for them.

might have to start starting Gill if he plays like this more - he's turning over everything at the moment! Not sure how much he is doing legally mind...
Reds are playing with no structure at all - just wanting to win it big time, lot of commitment from them!
