Is it Sa from Catalans? If so he's pretty good, powerful runner and will get over the gainline a lot! Reckon he'll either be a no6 or no12. Big tackler.

It is Sa from Catalan Dragons and from what Smith says looks like he'll be playing 12.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
Forgot you had signed O'Leary - he'll be very good for you.
Looks like Wasps have their first ever sell out at Adams Park this weekend - can't wait to get down there - apparently we can't qualify for HC now even if Ulster win, which I don't understand.
Was a funny article about it in the Guardian saying it was an outrage that Wasps would qualify this way because of their league position and then went on to say how good it would be that Connaught would get that place instead now...hmmm, couldnt really see his logic there!

There were 100 tickets available last night - they've done so much PR work on it - should really do it every week! I've got into the drinks reception area where they have Fraser Waters, Paul Volley and a load of other ex-Wasps players giving talks, really looking forward to it.
Wasps were a bit cheeky with ticket prices though - were selling best priced ones for £55! Usually £35.

Driver - Ashton's announced he hasnt been approached by Lancaster.
Really not sure about Catt as England coach - Lancaster seems to have been quite good with his instincts though, think I'd have preferred to have seen Ford stick with the u20s at the JWC though instead of a tour to SA.

Don't think Ashton wants a big job and pretty certain he doesn't want to move from Northwest. Fylde say it is due to new ambassadorial role with Kukri and a potential new job so could be a bigish job lined up.

From the Guardian
Among the uncapped players poised to be included are the Wasps lock Joe Launchbury, the Harlequins front-row pair of Joe Marler and Joe Gray, London Irish's athletic back Jonathan Joseph and the Leicester centre Anthony Allen. The young Tigers' fly-half George Ford will not tour anywhere this summer, having been omitted from the Under-20 World Cup squad to allow him a proper pre-season period in which to work on his physical conditioning.

anyone see that Haskell might pick up a ban for a punch at the weekend? hope that wont impact on the tour, as if we lose him then we are pretty screwed - do like the sound of a backrow of haskell, robshaw and morgan though!

Guys
Have 2 Leinster supporting friends who have missed out on Heineken Cup final tickets due to the clubs lottery system for distributing them. If anyone knows of anyone with any going spare please let me know and I'll happily take them at face value for 2 genuine rugby fans who are gutted to be missing their team in the final.
Thanks

Don;t know mate - was a pretty darn good punch though!
Is Lancaster taking 40? Reckon we are going to lose a few more first teamers with the playoffs on their way - remember the game last year between Tigers and Sarries in the final - brutal defences

Dean Richards was in my Rugby Club tonight , seems a canny bloke and is pretty forward thinking about bringing rugby in the north east.
Say's next season the Falcons will have a pretty bog standard game plan based on keeping the ball and playing the field a bit more where now it just seems like they go looking for a fight. He also plans to work harder on core skills with the players as James Fitzpatrick would be in England Saxons at the least if he could pass the ball.

He's a belting ball carrier but he's core skills are awful at this level hence why he looks pretty poor.

Agree Steve can't work out what has happened they have started stuffing people.
Fitzpatrick should stick to being a fat bouncer as he ain't no rugby player. Up there with dan murphy as worst prem player. Faan also
In that list these days

Fitzy has his uses. Very strong in the contact, carries like a train. Defence is also very strong. Never going to be a distributing 12 but he's not that type of player.

Faan is going to a French D2 club next season I think, which is propably a better level for him these days.

Faan has been a great servant to Irish and should be given a good send off when you thrash us this weekend in the biggest dead rubber you could wish to see

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
Absolutely. We have quite a few leavers playing so should be a good send of for them all. Big Bob is captaining the side in his final game, but would be surprised if he completes the whole 80 minutes.

just read that article about rob baxter saying lots of exeter players should tour to S.A
fair enough some of the pack should in with a shout like Hanks and Johnson, but he mentions Matt Jess, Dollman, Arscott and Thomas. Think thats pushing it a bit.

Folks
Just to give you the heads up that I am going away on Saturday evening and won't be back until Tuesday May 15th. I may have internet access but not sure.
SJE,
Will you be able to do the AP semi final and Heino Final match threads please? I will PM my semi final team to you in case I cannot get on to post it in the week.

I am a big hanks fan but he gets no ratings on here when i use him

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
I have Exeter in Pooly's game Mat and very few of the Chiefs players get rated at all. My front 5 this week was Sturgess, Bismarck du Plessis, Tui, Hayes and Hanks, up against a Saracens front 5 of Gill, Brits, Nieto, Borthwick and Kruis.
One comment was that there was a big gain in the front row for Saracens.
Chiefs players are very underated considering the season they have just had.

they are underated i agree.
but i think exeters rise has been due to great teamwork as well.
i dont think indivually many of them would make the cut for england.

Hanks and Johnson are probably the only two who are really worth a look at currently, although Johnson is 30 so that ship has probably sailed.
