Burger was very close for me but just love Ferris such a monster. Pickles at 8 as well monster of a carrier but the subtleness in his hands unreal. Fantastic offloading game. Healy was close at LH for me but just love Tonga. If he played for a tier 1 international side he would be classed the best LH in the world

I don't know Taumololo's feats since the RWC last year make him a brilliant LH, good upfront and of course very handy in the loose!

Some good wildcards in there prop. You've got a good mix of cult players - Gorgodze, Caucaua, youngsters and legends. Like the cut of your jib

I swear he started at least one game, but scores tries for fun that guy. I would be tempted to sign him up. He does face some good TH's down there but the best are in the NH. I think he will be favourite there.

Yep, really wanted to sign him, he would be cheap, but is no spring chicken. Was worried that he'd be a one season wonder

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership - Season 1
He started against Canada. Tonga started the other 3 games
Im a bit sad and just checked ESPN scrum to see who hes actually played against this year. Hes played against Franks who I seriously rate and Kepu and J Du Plesis would be the next best opposition after that. Neither are great scrummagers though. Not a lot of strong scummaging THs in Super 15.
Be very interested to see him in Top 14. Just off the top of my head you have Poux. Johnston, Zirka, Kubs, Ducalcon and Mas there who are all fantastic scrummagers and would be a big step up for him at scrum time.
Has all the ability in the world in the loose for a LH but will be intrigued to see how his scrummaging goes

As I thought some big boys who are better technically in T14, although Poux is more of LH. Would love to see him up against Johnstone, he can more than hold his own up front.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership - Season 1
Sorry to butt in, but just to pick on what SJE has said. Lots of people talk about JdP not being a good scrummager, but I've never seen a Bok side with him at tighthead get really bashed up in the scrum.
Sure he's not at the same level in terms of scrummaging as Adam Jones, Castro and possibly Mas, but I would say he is certainly the next tier down on a par with the Franks and the others mentioned by SJE.

Thats alright mate the more the better. I didn't particularly dismiss him, but there arfen't many operators behind in SA to his standard IMO. W Kruger and WP Nel off the top of my head. And with Aus not being so good at producing a vast amount of passable props, he won't have been as tested as he will be in the T14 week in week out.

I've been impressed by Jannie du plessis. Always thought he was the weak link, but been very solid against England and been pretty good in the loose

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership - Season 1
The weak link in the Bok front row in recent years hasn't been any individual player, it's been more the fact that they've not been settled, with Smit shifted around to accommodate him and no stability there.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership - Season 1
Start looking at Welsh mate....
You can carry over 25 players from your current Falcons squad & 5 academy players
You have first dibs on all Welsh players throughout this season and any signings they make.

Could I have until Monday to confirm my sqaud and try and deal some of my Falcons?
And does this mean I get more "sponsorship money"

I have no monies, and I take I'm not allowed to release players?
Also for those interested in a Rugby Union Manager, I found the newer 2012 version, follow the link on this topic; https://www.606v2.com/t31869-rugby-console-game
Looks like the developer is looking at making a 2013 version which will be good.

Should be, I know but you look past that and it actually isn't half bad. I enjoyed the 2010 version a lot, had a season with Cornish Pirates and got them into the Heieken. Although without any red tape fiasco lol

I need money too
Although interesting to see who people go for. Hopefully no one will go after my targets. What are people thinking is my weakest area from my squad; centres or front row?
