Newcastle v Man City...the decider?
First topic message reminder :
Looking at the remaining four fixtures in the title race this has to be the biggie. You'd be hard pressed to see Utd drop points against either Swansea or Sunderland although the Black Cats encounter is the harder game of the two, what with it being away. I can see Utd demolishing Swansea with ease and if they defend like they did against an already relegated Wolves team then I can see Utd getting at least four. If they take the lead up at the Stadium of Light then they'll deal with Sunderland so onto City...
Their last match is a gimme. I don't care how dire QPR's situation is looking going into that they'll be wiped aside no problems.
But the Newcastle match truly intrigues me. The bookmakers have already handed City the title looking at the 1/2 pricing but I'm gonna stick my neck out here and predict that Newcastle will get a result be it a win or a draw. Simply put I envision a Man City slip up here. Newcastle are deserving of a bit more respect going into this match up and poorer sides have already beaten City on their home turf so why can't Newcastle? They are not exactly going to roll over in their last home match of the season and they'll be up for it big time. This is by no means a Banker!!
For the record I couldn't give a toss who wins the league but I'm quite shocked by all the Utd white flag waving I've encountered today. The war is not over yet folks.
Cheers guys.

Why doesn't Mancini start the game with Yaya Toure further forward?

Good game Citizens. Newcastle had chances too, could have been 7/8 goals in the game!

Regrettably as expected.
Now onto the qpr game, the slimmest chance of an upset here as nerves could play a part if it's 0-0 late on.
Fingers crossed but its unlikely.

Mancini's quotes have worked hugely in City's favour. He has beaten Fergy in the mind games, just like Mourinho used to..

Well done Citeh....you've bought the title like Chelsea....a sad day for english football. City are now my most hated team above Chelsea...and i never thought id see that day .....
At least Man U and Arsenal bring players through...
We had chances...but are still quite a way short...and really need some quality.
BUT buy god its been a good season....

Fantastic season by us and hopefully the summer we can strengthen but I fear we will lose Tiote. Thought our players looked nervous yesterday which was a shame as we didnt showcase what we're about.
Yer, agree about Citeh, can't stand them. With this expensively assembled squad to struggled to win the title (basically handed to them) against a shocking Man Utd says it all. Mancini's self admitted shocking tactics and preparation against Everton & Lisbon spring to mind along with the F.A Cup, League Cup and Champions League failings all prove he's been very lucky to win this title at all. They will spend big in the summer again and surely they've got to remove Gareth Barry. This guy is appaling and the fact we're going to watch him 'crabbing' around for England this summer just sickens me.

It'll be funny to watch him get shredded by a team with pace at the Euros though!!
Well done Newcastle, great season. In all honesty, 1 slack moment cost you yesterday with Coloccini. Joe Hart kept City in it, can't remember Krul having too many saves to make actually.

what ever people say about the quailty dropping in the prem(i agree the top 3 have , but also i think others have picked up there game).
this season has been immense, and possibly the best to watch for donkies.
So success shouldnt just be attributed to the best teams quality, but the entertainm, ent we have witnessed

John i totally agree about Tiote....i think he'll be away which concerns me because he really is quality.
I was at the game yesterday and the amount of times he broke up city plays was staggering.
Im not a lover of Man U but i firmly believe Fergie should be making him his No.1 target...followed by someone like Sniejder.
The other big concern for me is the fact Demba Ba simply hasnt come back from the African nations....he has been non existant. And it looks like him and Cisse cant play together....
Young ferguson looked quite good when he came on also....added a little bit of energy and pace when came on...

Can I ask the Newcastle fans a question here?..
Would you consider this season better than 1995/6?

Every team needs major investment if they are going to win the title off the 90's/00's moneybags United. They have been milking SKY money and UCL money for too many years which is why they are always in the top 2. But of course.. no one else is allowed to get money apart from them.Well done Citeh....you've bought the title like Chelsea....

Yes think so as we ended up ultimately underachieving then but have achieved so much more than even the most optimistic fan expected this time round even if (as no seems likely) we miss out on the CL place.
Also we gave City more of a run for their money than United did (OK I know that was at the Etihad) but we had chances to score. Probably 2-1 City would have been a fairer result but you have to hand it to City and Particularly Tore who delivered when it really mattered.
A great amount to look forward to next season especially if we hang on to Tiote.

Re: Newcastle v Man City...the decider?
With the Chelsea loss to Liverpool yesterday, Newcastle has just qualified for the Europa League.
Considering that Newcastle was in the Championship a few seasons ago, this is an impressive accomplishment.
Congratulations to the NUFC and its fans.

No we had already qualified for the Europa League when Liverpool beat Everton in the F.A Cup semi final
