Barrel's Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub & Restaurant, Luderitz
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The pub has stayed in Africa this week as part of its build up to the Heineken Cup final, and attached itself to Barrels restaurant in Luderitz, Namibia, known for its beer, Eisbein and sing-a-longs.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Simon Danielli, Federico Aramburu and the possibly Auckland-bound Joe Schmidt.

ah but have the Welsh not been repeatedley told that he is out and out Irish, barely anything French about him at all?
On a more serious note, was it not possible to draft in any French or English refs for these games, or are we only allowed ref's from the countries in the Pro12 itself?

Nice seeing the old crew here again, I do hope to remain a regular but who knows. Still not got a PC at home since I smashed the last one. Well it didn't say 'don't drop it down the stairs' on the box
Pete. And one for the wee man as well

I just hope that Clancey has a good match. He was great leading up to the RWC but has been seriously poor since.

Dreamer, it is ridiculous that we can't have neutrals officiating at this stage of the season. There are only a handful of games going on this weekend so it shouldn't have been a problem.

That was my thinking Rava.
I hope both Clancy and Rolland improve on their more recent performances anyways, neither have been impressing me.

What is the selection criteria for such matches?

Rolland is a decent ref, he just makes some rather odd decisions at times that are later proved to be correct but still baffling at the time.

I wholeheartedly agree.
I am guessing that selection criteria is based on being in elite referee circles and Nige is probably being rested because of the ERC Final.
I think its a really amatuerish setup.
Re: Barrel's Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub & Restaurant, Luderitz
Ah, new pub.
Bark!
Could the Pro 12 have asked for English refs for the play offs?* Or even French refs (though I think there's a full T14 programme this weekend).
* You can have Garner & Wigglesworth with our blessing.

Let's be honest- the aftermath on here if a controversial refereeing decision goes against Ospreys will be amusing enough to offset the glaringly obvious drawbacks of the refereeing assignments.

Evening.
Had an epic nap this afternoon, but am paying for it now. Went to the gym when I eventually woke up and did a workout where I preceded every 3 sets of a specific weights exercise with a 1km run. Was very good.
Listening to a relaxing playlist now on the iPod. Just had Damien Rice 9 Crimes on followed by Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here. Lovely stuff. Spandau Ballet Through The Barricades now.
Suppose it might help if I put my phone down if I want to sleep

Funny flocker aren't ya, look there are certain procedures that are needed to be followed before a train goes anywhere, he didn't follow them, all his fault, not mine at all.
Even C text me this morning, and I quote

The irishman forgot to get back on his train
you can't help but laugh at it all

Now now now now,
Perhaps I should clarify things. I took a train out yesterday evening and when it terminated it was going back to the depot as empties. So I jumped out at the terminus and took a wizz, came out to see the flocker was driving off of me, left me fricking stranded. Everything was on the train, my coat my bag, both my phones so I couldn't even ring anyone and tell them. DISASTER

Howdy doody folks
Hoog - the first game on Sat kicks off at 14:45. It's gonna be long day. There's also the London 7s to fill in the gaps.
Still debating if I'm going to watch the Os v Munster tonight and where. Much depends on how I feel after work.
