Barrel's Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub & Restaurant, Luderitz
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The pub has stayed in Africa this week as part of its build up to the Heineken Cup final, and attached itself to Barrels restaurant in Luderitz, Namibia, known for its beer, Eisbein and sing-a-longs.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Simon Danielli, Federico Aramburu and the possibly Auckland-bound Joe Schmidt.

Luckless that is impressive, I do indeed have a ghost although Sadie hasn't been seen or felt in ages. I wonder if she's passed on.....wooooo
Eirebilly I remember you, we used to chat on the justin.tv streams, a pleasant fellow you were, hope you've not changed
Hughie that's a disaster but a great ice breaker at parties

Hoog - the first game on Sat kicks off at 14:45. It's gonna be long day. There's also the London 7s to fill in the gaps.
Still debating if I'm going to watch the Os v Munster tonight and where. Much depends on how I feel after work.

Billy, how did you find that thread? Any time i go looking on the old 606 i get a message to say the site is not being maintained.
I'm looking for the article where i said that with a full injury free year under his belt, and Jos Schmidt coaching him Rob Kearney would be European Player of the year. I was laughed at btw.

Morning all,
Tough day eh Hughie. Are you and Hound at the Wheatsheaf tomorrow? I'll try and pop along for a bit.
I only played 2 1/2 quarters of my netball game last night, at centre, and I still managed to earn MVP points. And we won

2008.
Before my time on 606.
Two things struck me from that post by William.
(1) He seemed to be agreeing with WLG???? (Didn't know that had ever happened)
(2) Typical of a Munster fan to be stuck back in 2008!

Perhaps I should clarify things. I took a train out yesterday evening and when it terminated it was going back to the depot as empties. So I jumped out at the terminus and took a wizz, came out to see the flocker was driving off of me, left me fricking stranded. Everything was on the train, my coat my bag, both my phones so I couldn't even ring anyone and tell them. DISASTER
Did you get one of those little things with the levers and chase him? It would be disappointing if you didn't.

And can I just say how lovely it is to have you in here of a morning again, even if it is only for a wee while.
Between that and Scotty's return it's kinda like the old days again!

Looks like Ravenhill will be given a new name, which is sad. But it will always be Ravenhill. Can't change 100+ years of history.

As sad and dismaying the prospect of changing Ravenhills name is, the plans for the new stadium are brilliant;

“We will have a shop, restaurants, additional hospitality for 3,200 people, a museum and an education centre to which we will aim to bring every school pupil twice during their time in education to learn about rugby, understand its values, to see players train and to hear from them about healthy living, good sportsmanship and no abuse of alcohol, drugs or tobacco so that, hopefully, they are inspired by the game.

Conrad Smith is looking to stay in NZ rugby http://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=10805237
He still works in the off season at his law firm, so he's got a reasonably well paid post-rugby career to look forward to.

Wow wow wow wow wow. I’m still all about the music man. plus I was essentially shacked up last year and I was in London for a match and Cardiff, but my rent is considerably higher these days so I’m not as flush.
I’m still the same fella, just a bit better fed (fatter) and I’ve got a few gray hairs coming through, and my hip is playing up in the cold weather. Other than that I’m pretty much 22 years old forever.
