Jeremy Kyle is normally on at this time!! Not that I'd know....

Back to Fraser Forster, Butland has played in League 2 all season. SPL > League 2!! Plus 25 clean sheets (and Celtic's defence isn't that great).

Tottenham are close to signing central defender Jan Vertonghen, 25, from Ajax for a fee of £9.6m.

Full story: The Guardian

However, Vertonghen has warned Spurs that if they do not hurry up and complete the transfer he will join their north London rivals Arsenal instead.

Stoke boss Tony Pulis has launched a bid to sign Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku on loan for next season. The 19-year-old made only 12 appearances last season for the Blues - scoring no goals - after joining from Anderlecht for £18m.

Some of the loads on BBC Gossip

Geex, I dont remember Lukaku making 12 apps.

Lukaku was the worst signing of the season (if you put into context how much he cost and what he actually did over 1 season only). Obviously he should make a huge impact over the next few years. I think Stoke would suit him. Pulis needs to sign Dost a well.

Suppose with Young and Valencia pinging in crosses he'd do well. Not convinced he has any technical ability in his feet. Seems like a Zigic.

I was thinking the same thing. Bas Dost is a younger, Dutch version of Nicola Zigic.

Worst signing of the season is a little harsh :P I think in terms of money spent Stuart downing comes to mind (even though he was 4m less) has done diddly. Lukaku was brought more for his potential. When he has come on from the bench he looks an exciting player. He's got flair and quickness about his play for a big lad.

Lukaku was brought in to be a long term replacement for Drogba, very similar build and style.

Downing was brought in to be a here and now player, and is neither here nor there.

To me Dost is a new version of Ruud, never one to score a blistering goal from 30 yards, but very good at getting in the right place at the right time and with his size just making a nuisance of himself so eventually the ball hits him and goes in the goal.

You make me sick Hero comparing Dost to Van Nistelrooy. Ruud Boy was a fantastic goal scorer and did not wait for the ball to hit him he pounced on the slightest of chances, you make so many anti United comments you even bet AGAINST them chose Man City. #NoLoyalty

There's a fine line between Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Alfonso Alves when it comes to Dutch league goalscorers...

I think Bas Dost is somewhere in the middle, but John Guidetti is > than him. I'm not just saying that, I believe that, that's why I signed him!

From what I've seen of Ince Jr I thought was very good.

Nistlerooy was a fantastic goalscorer, but his record shows he was never a player to bang one in from outside the box, he was a physical poacher, Dost is the same, it's a compliment to Dost rather than a slur to RVN.

Dost cant even get in the provisional Duth squad which was huge, has something like 36/38 players in.

Lukaku was pricy but didnt get a load of games.
Stuart Downing is the worst signing of the season for me. 36 out of 38 league matches and Zero goals & Zero assists.

Richards and Carrick can't get in the England one.
Hero, that is because Hodgson is an idiot. Its like hes trying to make it up to Liverpool players with Kelly now in there for tomorrows friendly.

Also, the Dutch provis squad actually contains better strikers than Dost.

Englands RB consists of one who cant defend and a make shift RB, Richards was overlooked.
DM/CM has Parker and Barry, Carrick is better than the latter.

nah, maybe I got the wrong impression. From the way is started by saying Im playing in Blue next season to changing his mind and then not announcing when he said etc.
If he joins City or Chelsea on the basis that he feels he can get more match time then you cant argue with that.
I still dont want him at #MUFC anyway. over hyped gamble. Kagawa is the one.

Apparently Carrick said to Hodgson don't pick me if I am just going to be a bench warmer. You can't blame him he is a fine passer of the ball which we lack he can contol the possesion and he ain't bad in winning the ball back has a very high interception record.

Some people prefer to see the slide tackles, the leg breaking 50/50 which Parker and co look so good on its the English menality. We love the big strong action players like Gerrard and overlook the technically great players such as Scholes. We need to change that.

TSC, I think its a case hes happy with the terms from each club so they have "agreed" which then stops negotiations on his contract and leave it up to him to pick which.

We have Wellbeck and Hernandez who I rather see given match time, with Owen gone and Berbatov looking very likely to go we need another striker but he can't expect first team Football he will have to rotate with the others.

Rooney will always drop deep and look for the ball no matter if he is playing as a main striker or a second striker and I rather leave like that because he can score and drive the team on from deeper.

Saint isn't being banned for calling you a pillock, I don't find the term offensive and if you do then I would advise that the internet is not the best place for you to journey onto.
