I would be willing to take over nicks team if you want. If there is no chance of nick getting unbanned I will take over. Although I think it would be best if we ask other managers opinions on if they want me to take over or if they want to give nick another last chance.

Let him go to Villa would be my advice.

Digging your heels in now would just create a dragging saga and distract from preparation for next season.

Let him go, you can get a nice bit of compensation in, a new manager in sooner rather than later and give them more time towards next season.

On principle, you should dig your heels in, but for the good of Norwich, it's better not to

Nick is gone. I don't think Hero is gonna change his mind.

Lambert's over-rated. He'll fail at Villa like Big Eck did.

The other mods are already in celebration over the news, I'd be castigated if the decision was reversed sorry.

Afro I don't think we are letting him go for free, we have rejected his resignation so we can get some money for him. I wish the best of luck to Paul and will thank him for everything he has done to make it fun to be a Norwich fan again. But I think it's the wrong career move for him

C'mon several of those rules are breached regularly and I think we could easily all find countless examples. Temporary bans are used, but permanent bans have only been used in the real severe cases.

Just because it is popular with the admin and mods is not a very good reason to ban someone permanently. You are all supposed to be impartial and not bring personal feeling into it.

God knows who we will get as a new manager!

Who would have thought that both Lambert and Rodgers would leave Norwich and Swansea under a month after the season finished. How quickly things can change in football.

And whoever takes over at us and Swansea has got a hell of a show to follow

I agree it's a mistake, I think it's the same with Rodgers to Liverpool. It's the whole Hodgson to Liverpool saga again. The fans will be sceptical already and if results don't go their way straight away he'll be out the door .

Alot of managers do well at 'lesser' teams (no offence) but when they try and take their philosophy to a bigger club it fails. I think the same will be said of Lambert.

Rodgers will fail as I do think a lot of his success has been on the coat tails of his predecessors.

Lambert reminds me a lot of Moyes in his meticulous planning and I can see him being a success wherever he goes.

One thing Lambert is though is a winner. Everywhere he went when he was a player he won trophies. Dortmund, Celtic being the examples. And in his managerial career so far all he has done is win. He has a brilliant tactical brain and understands how to handle players. I don't think Villa is the right move for him and I do think he will fail there, but he will be a top top manager one day. And no offence taken on the lesser team thing. We are a lesser team

He has no tactical awareness what so ever. That's the difference between us and Blackpool. We were able to change our tactics to keep it fresh. Holloway played one way, and was worked out after half a season. Definately not Holloway

CF doesn't blatantly slag off the owner of the site. I think CF only stepped out of line with Adam and he was punished.

Fraser Robertson is talking out of his arse when he is saying about the players. He is simply sturring it up. What a Holly Wilaboobie. None of the players are even at the club, they are all on holiday

I have had numerous complaints over his attitude and posts for some considerable time and if anything it is because he was part of this group that he has managed to remain on the site for as long as he did, other sections would certainly not have been so lenient.

He has already had 2 temporary bans and PM warnings, this is the normal protocol to follow.

How many times has CF been banned?

2 as far as I'm aware. But in truth I shouldn't really have to discuss other peoples bannings etc in public. Simple matter is though that Nick is not coming back and it's not open to debate or a vote.

No I want a young manager like Poyet or Mackay or Robinson of MK Dons. Not some old fat Premier League journeyman manager

McLeish for Scotland! We tonked the mighty France both home and away in a Euro qualifying campaign (and still qualified below them).

Look as long as we have McNally as our chief exec we will be fine. He is the most important man at our club.

And I can't begrudge Lambert going. If you offered me '2 promotions & 12th placed Prem finish in 3 seasons at Valley, May 09, I'd have accepted anything thereafter.
