Mini Biltong's team has won their league.
For those few of you who has been following Mini biltong's rugby career.
They played their last league match this afternoon and won it by 25 points to nil.
They scored 5 unanswered tries. Once again they dominated the scrums and of course Mini Biltong never took a step back. He got injured in the first half, but shok it off and just carried on, his game is improving all the time, his confidence is building on defence but as yet the Teacher coaching limits each little man to specific duties.
His is priorities are, scrum, lineout lifting and defence.
He is getting a little impatient with the fact that he doesn't get ball to run with, but the good news is the same teacher takes them right through their primary school career.
Looking at this he will have about 50 caps by the time he finishes primary school (obviously staying injury free)
There was a bit of a laugh with the teacher as he refused to put the reserves on as they cost him a couple of friendly matches, so today he only put them on for the last 5 minutes as they were leading by 25-0.
What is rather interesting is to see how they coach the little ones with specific tasks, some are the runners, others are the supporters to get to the ruck as soon as possible, for some reason he doesn't let them pas the ball yet, it is a simple gameplan but obvioulsy quite effective.
You win the ball, you run the ball, you ruck over the ball the next runner goes again.
So the boys are the league champions. The good news here is because the same teacher takes them all the way to grade 7, he knows his players for next year now, and can develop them at his leasure, so if they continue in this vain, wouldn't it be grand if they win 5 years in a row? (Not even Leinster, the Bulls or even the Crusaders could muster that)
Anyhow just thought you might want to know.
Mini Biltong is the one at the rear far right.

Careful Biltong,
Its very competitive to get into the SA backrow...still he could always move abroad and get a few caps for his new country.

Re: Mini Biltong's team has won their league.
U9 Stormers, his coach must be a bulls supporter.
He beleives in a very strong forward pack and when you look at how his selections have been over their first season, he was experimenting with combinations for the first half of the season to find the strongest scrum.
They literally blew teams of the park with their scrumming prowess.
