With an average score of 175 though.
No need for that shot from Buttler
Didn't realise that was the average score lol.
Still I reckon 160 is a defendable total

Re: t20 cup
Morkel looked poor out there, hope he bowls better than he batted. Hopefully if we can get up to 160 we can defend that as our spin attack of Waller and Dockrell is far, far superior to Phillips. Although Shah and Foster play spin well, but it's our only hope if we don't get up to 180.

Can't believe the negativity Somerset guys!!!
Believe in your bowlers, anything can happen in cricket and who knows how Essex will react to the pressure of chasing!

Haha, reverse psychology Olly! Well batted James Hildreth, he's been in cracking T20 form this year!

Where was the need for that 2! only really Trego left so and your taking on Foster being the keeper!

I wouldn't have minded so much if it was Gregory running to the danger end, but Hildreth had to bat through!

Re: t20 cup
Somerset players have got themselves starts but then chuck it away (not so much for Hildreth).

Re: t20 cup
Time to go big boys, any deflection is likely to be a single anyway as Essex wont be fussed but need a few boundaries!

Re: t20 cup
So 175. 176 to win. Exactly par. Early wickets are an absolute must and then strangle with the spin in the middle overs. That's the ideal scenario.

Re: t20 cup
Surprised we haven't opened with spin, especially with Cook batting who likes pace on the ball. Maybe doesn't quite trust the young spinners yet enough with that.

Yes! First wicket. Pettini gone, caught by Dockrell off Thomas. Not getting carried away, he is probably the weakest of this Essex batting line up.

RUN OUT!
however I would have said benefit should have gone to batsman as you couldn't see the whole of the bat.

I went out to have a net! I couldn't stand the pressure, haha. Sounds like a cracking performance from out bowlers though!
Sussex looking rampant though. Good knock from Prior, but this from Styris is just amazing.

Fantastic hitting from Styris. 37 ball ton. It's not really necessary to elaborate any further is it?

Sussex 230-4.
Nothing to worry about for Gloucs... Batty says it's a good wicket.

Where is Will Gidman for Glos? Is he injured? I saw him live for the first time earlier this summer at Worcester and he really impressed me.

Evening Corporal - I believe that with the help of no balls one over went for 38! Guess Gloucs can afford that with Batty putting his foot on the gas.
