Great effort from Ireland.
They showed so much in that game... unlucky to get pipped in the end.

Well played Ireland. Brilliant performance. But that was always going to happen. We ran them ragged. And still lost.

Absolutely gutted. I think on the day the better team lost, an incredible statement to have made after last week, but fair. New Zealand show in the end why the best in the world. I have to question Nigel Owens's penalty against our scrum- I;'m not saying he was wrong, but I'd have to see it again. I thought we were pretty dominant there.

Unbelievable from ireland. Now that was a real test match. Best Ive ever seen the Irish play.
I would be worried for oz and SA now if they show anywhere near that level of improvement.

oooh Ireland
heartbreaking at the end there
Me proud of yoru team though. Immense effort, pride restored completely, and now you know what you're capable of.
Every team should fear you.

No we didn't... feic it that is not good enough...BODs lose kick, poor restarts, too many soft penalties, messed up at the end not going fro the drop goal....the ABs were all over the place and we still didn't put them away.
Time for our lads to take a look at themselves because that is not good enough.
Time to deliver next week and get something out of this tour because its been a shambles so far. A disaster.

What an awesome game...I can't think of the last Ire v Nz game which had me chewing on me nails so much!
Ireland - all class, well played DESERVED but on the other side NZ showed awesome composure after Dagg was binned..silly boy.
Absolute respect to Ireland...what a game

Truly immense display from the men in green, so much to be proud of

Kiwi pundit slating Nigel's "influence". Doesn't agree with the yellow card of course.
Anyway, a great match for any neutrals watching. I love it when rugby gets that exciting.

Re: Ireland v New Zealand 2nd Test Live Match Thread
Rodders you have to give some credit though, because the reason NZ were all over the place, is because we didn't give them much possession. We put them under immense pressure. You are right though, it is still a loss. We aren't clinical enough. The best teams are always able to see the game through to the end, or clinch a victory just like NZ did there. We still have a lot of work to do.

Yeah and he bounced back so well from last week, had a great game and made some great linebreaks.
This was a better performance than against Oz at the WC,that's the 1st time our backs and forwards have worked so well together in years I just hope we can back it up and kick on from here. There have been too many false dawns.
