The top 5 Wrestling debuts?
5. The Radicalz
WWF January 31, 2000 "These, these Radicalz!"
At a time when seeing one wrestler from either WWF or WCW show up on opposition TV was a surprise, seeing four sitting in the front row was simply shocking. Especially when one of them had just won the WCW World title. To see the four of them then jump the barricade and attack the WWF wrestlers was almost WWFs own NWO moment.
4. Razor Ramon/Scott Hall
WCW May 27th 1996 "You know who I am, but You DON'T know why I'm here"
Not the most spectacular debut on this list but easily the most shocking and the debut that would lead to the biggest angle in wrestling history. As Razor Ramon, Hall had only recently held WWF championship gold, so seeing him invade a WCW ring, apparently unscheduled, was a real surprise. The fact that he'd then go on to pretty much claim that he was a spokesman for WWF and was accepting WCWs challenge to a "war" was even more groundbreaking.
3. "Y2J" Chris Jericho
WWF August 9th, 1999 "Welcome to RAW IS JERICHO!"
After several weeks of a clock entitled "Countdown to the Millenium" appearing on the Raw titantron, the timer finally ran down to zero during an in ring promo by the Rock. Y2J Chris Jericho had arrived and the WWF would never....EVER be the same.... again!
2. Kane
WWF October 5th, 1997 "Thats gotta be KANE!"
This was an easy choice. After months of Paul Bearer warning the Undertaker that his brother was coming "The Big Red Monster" finally arrived. During a PPV main event in which The Undertaker was challenging for the WWF title. During the first ever Hell in a Cell match! Kane ripped off the cell door and tombstoned his brother creating one of the most enduring feuds in wrestling history.
1. Kurt Angle
TNA October 19th, 2006 "KURT ANGLE'S IN THE IMPACT ZONE!!!"
For as much as Kanes debut was an easy choice, this one was even easier. At this point in time Samoa Joe was yet to be pinned or made to submit and was recieving a Goldberg like push. Kurt Angle was a wrestling machine and seeing the two of them go at it was EVERYBODYS dream match. How did TNA respond to the anticipation? With perhaps the biggest mark-out moment in their history!

Do you agree with the top five? If not who would you have had in there and why?

Re: The top 5 Wrestling debuts?
Kurt Angle in TNA is nowhere near the top for me. It was obvious who he would face, the promo vids were cringeworthy 'Oh it's real, damn real' and i certainly didn't mark out when he showed.
I'd put Carlito above Kurt.

Chris Jericho, Kane and Goldberg's WWE debut are the top ones for me.
Although the Shockmaster's outranks them all.

Re: The top 5 Wrestling debuts?
Even though I grew to dislike his in-ring abilities, The Great Khali had a huge debut, lumbering to the ring to chop Undertaker in the head.
Honorable mentions go to Alberto Del Rio (v Mysterio), Goldberg in WWE (v The Rock), the 2nd debut of Christian (in ECW v Swagger) and Christian's TNA debut.

The Undertaker at Survivor Series.
Tazz at the Royal Rumble.
Nexus invading Raw.
They would all feature in my Top 5.

Have to give that to Jericho, those video packages and entrance haven't been matched since IMO. Kane, Taker, Nexus and possibly Carlito (for winning US and IC on his Raw and Smackdown debuts)
