Anyone now the top 3 scorers last season in each of the Spanish, English and Italian leagues?

I know who were the top 3 in la liga.
1. Messi
2. Ronaldo
3. Falcao

I know who won the top scorer award in Serie A but don't really remember who finished second and third so I'll have a guess.

1. Ibrahimovic
2. Cavani
3. Di Natale

In the epl it was Van Persie who was top scorer. Rooney was 2nd and Aguero was 3rd.

What astounds me the most with the Messi/Ronny goals is the number of goals that Higs and Benzema scored, everyone calls Ronny for playing for himself rather than as a team but where's the other Barca players on that list?

I am putting together the quiz for our end of season Fantasy League email. This was one of the questions I am putting in and wanted to see whether it was one people would find easy or not (without the help of Google).

I agree. Especially when you think that Hig and Benzema shared the role as well. it wasn't like they were both playing all the time.

At the same time, I think it also shows that the quality in depth of the Premier League in terms of defending.

Winds me up a bit with Messi/Ronny, when people put up facebook posts on Messi with a Unicef kid and Ronny with a new watch to try and put across Ronny is the Anti-Messi so to speak.

The thing with La Liga is it's Barcelona, Real Madrid... low teams.

I think you could put a team like Everton or Fulham there and they could easily qualify for Europe. Makes me wonder whether Olly's premier league rule leads to him getting better players. Headscratch

Anyway, thoughts on this for betting on the QFs?
portugal, germany, spain = £21.20
portugal, germany, england = £32.98
portugal, spain, england = £43.53
germany, spain, england = £34.36

Leaving me with a total of £132.07 if all four teams win. That's with a £5 stake per treble.

Just trying to compare his league goals for United with his league goals for Real to see if there is a correlation.

It suggests that it is easier for him to score in La Liga and he gets 50% goals more goals in Spain than in England.

Need to see if that applies to Aguero too

I wouldn't say so, think it's more based on the quality of players in your team and the player themself reaching their peak, look at Torres, never really an exceptional goal scorer at Atletico, blistering in first season and a half at Liverpool then faded back down again.

I think you are right. Some players suit different leagues. Horses for courses.

Most people would say that it is traditionally more difficult to score goals in Italy. But Ibrahimovic scores plenty in Serie A, yet struggled in Spain.

Huntelaar and Forlan again are prime examples too. Fantastic at certain clubs, abysmal at others.

Didn't we have a discussion just yesterday about arranging transfers on anything other than the person's page?

No evidence of an offer being made or accepted, i'm guessing it was done on the Chatbox but it's no different to me and Hero doing a deal via PM.

You're not far off.
As a kid there were 3 channels on the TV, BBC 1 & 2 and ITV, when I was 6 then C4 came out though all that had for kids was Willo the Wisp and Pob.
Video recorders were a new fangled thing, most were top loaders and weighed about the same as a small family car. Video shops used to blacklist you if you returned the videos back unwinded.

As per pm/box offers I think that the original offer should be made on the persons page and the final offer should also be made public there. The negotiations can be on the box or VIA pm as they are less important, I mean who really wants to read two people haggling over a few million on a deal they are not interested in?!

It was, no Sky+, no internet etc. If you wanted to find something out then you'd go to a place called a library that had things called books. Though you could only read the book for 3 weeks before you then had to return it or if not they would charge you 4p per day for every day you failed to return it.
