- Right lads were playing 4-4-2. This is our first game back in the Premership. We won the championship last season and we beat West Ham 4-2 last time we came here last season. They will try and bully us so we will look to play them off the pitch. We have an experinced centre half playing alongside an up and coming youngster so play the ball out from the back. Use our exciting wingers to get them on the break. Center mids dont hold the ball to long look to get rid and play wingers and strikers in quickly and early which is the tempo we like. Come on lads !!!!!

Tactics:
Vorm: Be big today, command the box.
Santon/Enrique: Stick to their wingers, prevent crosses!
Jagielka/Dawson: Be strong in the air, Jags stick to Berbatov/Daws pick up CF/CAM. Communicate!
Diamé: Be Commander Diamé, rough up the opposition, pick up any runs and force Fulham to concede possession
Parker: Diamé is tough man, focus on mopping up/being the engine. Look for easy passes.
Downing and Lennon: Come inside, collect simple passes, go down the line. Loads of crosses!
Cahill: Dictate the play, driving the team forward. Also be second striker to get on the end of crosses.

Re: Tactics Submission
Week 1: Stoke City v Manchester United
- Spoiler:
- Starting XI (4-4-1-1):Asmir Begovic
Alan Hutton - Robert Huth - Ryan Shawcross - Ryan Taylor
Rory Delap - Wilson Palacios - Abou Diaby - Chris Brunt
Ashley Young
Peter Crouch
Subs: Thomas Sorensen, Matthew Upson, Darron Gibson, Clarence Seedorf, Jermaine Pennant, Matthew Etherington, Jonathan Walters
Tough game today. Be hard to break down. When on the ball, use the pace of Brunt and Young to counter attack. Crouch is our target man, Young will make an impact. Setpieces, we have expert delivery from Taylor, long throws from Delap. Look for Crouch and Young's runs into the area, often the flight of the throw is misjudged, it could end up at your feet so take your chances. CB's, be aware of Rooney. CM's, help the defence out and also track Rooney dropping deep. Stifle him, make him drop deeper to get into the game. Young, look to pass to Crouch, look for him passing back. Run at the ageing defence. Don't go wide too often. Crouch, hold up the ball. Win it in the air, look for Young making runs, turn and shoot if you can. Maybe score another worldie like against Man City last season
Subs 70 mins
If winning: Young and Crouch off, Walters and Gibson on. Gibson an extra midfielder, go 4-5-1 and leave the energetic Walters as our outlet.
If drawing: Crouch, Delap and Young off, Walters, Pennant and Seedorf on. 4-5-1 but with creativity in midfield and pace on the RW in Pennant.
If losing: Brunt, Diaby and Delap off, Etherington, Seedorf and Walters on. Go 4-1-3-2, Palacios the DM, Young - Seedorf - Etherington as the AMs and Walters and Crouch the front two.

Kelly – Hughes -- Hangeland – Riise
Lucas – Murphy
Ruiz – Dembele – Dempsey
Berbatov [/c]
The 4-2-3-1 gives us defensive stability as a compact unit with the ability to attack in wide areas. The key today is being patient. Hit the opposition on the counter, use the wide players to get forward and the central players will join the attack.
Defenders Tactics:
* Operate as one while staying discipline in their tackling and marking.
* DM provide cover for defenders and wing backs
* Hangeland, Murphy, keep the fullbacks and midfielders in check not allowing them to wander to far forward or ruin the shape.
* Protect the middle of the park
Attacking Tactics:
* Midfielders connect with attacking players in the final third of the field and help create opportunities.
* Dempsey & Ruiz, Give width to the shape of the team
* Berbatov you’re the lone target man. Be clinical with your finishing.
If winning after 70 then bring on Baird for Murphy and go 5-4-1.
If losing after 70 minutes bring Johnson for Murphy and go 4-4-2.

Its the first game of the season away from home as well we need to make sure that we dont let are guard down
Defence be ready to force their wingers wide on the wings and if they cut into the middle make sure you stop them creating chances. Be aware of crouch and try to block crosses which they will use to try and help him score with headers.
Scholes + Carrick i want you to win balls and stay back to allow Kagawa to move up front to role he likes to play. Use through balls and long one to get it to the wing.
Wingers be aware of them and make sure crosses to Rooney are not wasted
Kagawa: make sure chances are created for Rooney as Scholes staying back means you can play further forward
Rooney be sharp and ready for any incoming balls.
Subs If Wining Cleverley on for Scholes

Alright first day of the season, and we’re facing a newly promoted team on a high. I want us to hold onto the ball and keep it and take the sting out of the crowd . Rodwell, Britton and Cole will be key in this. Up front Dyer, Cole and Hoilett will rotate around to make it hard for defenders to pick them up, and I want Rodriguez to play on the shoulder on the last man and look to make runs into channels. Don’t be afraid to run at defenders.
When we don’t have the ball, the front 4 need to press the ball, don’t give them time to build, while Rodwell and Britton drop back deeper and look to pick up runs from deep and intercept passes. Back 4 do what you do.
Aim for 60%+ possession lads.
Subs:
(Midway through the 2nd half)
Fabio for Taylor: Give Fabio a debut.
Ramsey for Britton: Another ball player to make sure we maintain possession.
Bellamy for Dyer: Give Bellamy a 20 minute or so burst, given his legs and recent injury worries

We are away from home today against a good side so will look to hold the game in the hope of getting a goal or two on the counter. Mikel, Essien and Lampard will keep tight in the midfield and protect the defence. The defence will stay solid. Ivanovic and Cole will push their men outwide and Cahill and Terry will both be dominating in the air and on the ground. Higuain, Mata and Torres have bags of pace. We will look to get all 3 of them in on goal and with their power, creativity and pace hey will cause the opposition lots of problems. Mata will have license too drop behind the front two, more into a playmaker role. Lampard can also push on in midfield when we have the ball, as Mikel and Essien can cover. Lamps will provide the through balls to our attackers.
Subs
60th min – Ramires on for Lampard. Ramires brings even more pace to the side and will put pressure on the tired Arsenal Legs.
70th min – Marin for Torres. Higuain will go through the middle, Marin on the wing and will cut inside and look to beat the keeper.

- Right, it’s a new season, it’s a new start. The slate has been wiped clean. This is your chance to redeem yourselves to the fans with an impressive start against a rival team. I want both full backs to be tight and not let the wingers pass you down the flanks & offer support. The centre backs can play a deep line to stop any runners while also mopping up any long balls.
Petrov’s job is to break up any play through the centre and then spray passes wide and let the wingers work the flanks. Ireland & Aquilini jobs are trying to link up play with shorter passes, while also looking for that through ball. The Wingers will occasionally swap positions but have the freedom to run with the ball at their fullbacks. Bent will stay on the shoulder of the last defender.

TACTICS (150 words)
We need to play a deepish line as Adebayor has pace about him. Skrtel and Agger can match Adebayor for height and should challenge him there. Montolivo needs to get tight to Hazard, prevent him playing. Gerrard more attacking, pushing up more but like he was for England at the Euros. Vargas and Kuyt should get back, double up.
When attacking try to get crosses in for Carroll, particularly pick on Heitinga's lack of height and pressure him if he's in possession into a mistake. Suarez should try to run past and play on the shoulder if they go for a high line. Kuyt and Vargas should get plenty of balls into the box.. Try to win set pieces as Gerrard can deliver and we have a lot of height in the side.
Substitutions: Bring on Cabaye and Schurrle for Kuyt and Vargas. add creativity and energy. Move to 4-3-3.

Adebayor
Subs: Heitinga, Caulker, Tiote, Jenas, Barkley, Amos, Defoe.
Defence:GK to command, be vocal to back line, FBs to contain wingers and block crosses, link up play with Bale & Dzagoev going forward. Vertonghen knows Suarez well from Ajax days so keep close mark on him when he tracks into the box whilst Kaboul goes toe to toe with Carroll if he plays
Midfield: Fellaini to enforce and nullify the Liverpool play, be a constant thorn in their side, Modric to be playmaker and look for attacking options running into space, plenty of choice! Hazard free role to move as he pleases whilst Bale and Dzagoev mix it up and alternate between inside to launch long range efforts or attack the defence and going outside at speed to whip crosses in.
Striker: Adebayor to play the poacher role, sit in offside position off the shoulder to force the backline deep and use timing to beat the trap.
Subs:
If losing at 70m: Defoe for Adebayor
If winning at 75m: Tiote & Defoe on for Modric and Adebayor

Right first game of the season will be a tough one. We are at home, and we beat them 4-2 here last season. We have three guys in the centre of midfield, so look to overload them there. Pilks and Burke get back and double up on there quick wingers. When we have the ball look to keep it, and hit the wingers or Hoolahan. Wes find pockets of space and look to play a killer ball. Bennett and Davies be strong in the air and Davies cover the flick ons. Lets get off to a good start here boys!

---------------Arteta---Sandro----------
----Ben Arfa-----Sigurdsson----Varela--
---------------------Cisse----------------
Subs: Forster, Simpson, Taylor, Benat, Marveaux, Walcott, Ba
The essence of our football revolves around retaining possession. We have attacking full backs who will primarily mark the opposition winger out of the game by showing them inside. Sandro is out holding midfielder who will allow Arteta to create from deep whilst Sigurdsson has a freedom to create in a free role. Our wingers should run hard at the full backs and seek to get the ball into Cisse as quickly as possible, as will Sigurdsson. They all can shoot from 20 yards, and while using his link up play, Cisse will mainly use his strength and predatory skills to poach goals which give us the victory.
Substitutions: if losing late in the game, bring Ba on for Sigurdsson making a direct flat 4-4-2. If winning, we will drop deeper then being on Benat for the Icelandic midfielder.

Tactics
Let’s build on last week’s foundations and kick off the first home game attacking and running at their defenders using pace out wide. Their strongest area is out wide so fullbacks need to stick tight & not let the wingers pass you. Petrov will also sit back and add extra cover going over and cutting out any wide play. The centre backs will need to be strong & sit a bit deeper mopping up any balls coming in or over the top dealing with the front pair. Delph’s role is to stop Lallana from playing, tracking every run. Aqulini will play slightly more forward threading through balls getting the wider players to run and attack. Gabby, will also be able to cut in and win any headers incase of the long ball through the middle. Bent, again will play as a poacher feeding of scrapes sitting on the last defender.
Subs
73 Mins – Ciaran Clark to replace Delph, same job tracking their attacking runners from midfield
74 Mins – Saha to replace Bent, more direct using high balls to feed play out wide
86 Mins – Ireland to replace Aquilani, again playing a slightly more attacking role in midfield looking for the killer pass.

Team Talk: After a point last week lets get the ball rolling with a win, we have pace in the squad today to get at Swansea.
Vorm - Prove to Swansea they shouldn't have sold you
Enrique/Santon - Get forward, support when you can. Watch the runs of Hoillet/Dyer
Jags/Dawson - Communication will be key against Rodriguez/CF. Watch the runs from deep.
Diamé - Get physical and stick to J.Cole like a bad rash. Give him as little room as possible.
Parker - You're the engine room, aid Diamé, look for simple passes.
Pranjic - You have the freedom to play today. Link up with wingers, play between the lines.
Lennon - Use your pace to abuse Fabio/Taylor, whip crosses in. Jelavić and Pranjic will be there.
Downing - Look to stick to the byline, get the crosses in. If you can beat Corluka do so a lot.

Tactics
Alright, home opener, expect a lot of energy out there. Jelavic needs service, Hoilett and Dyer need to double up on their wingers and Rodwell and Britton need to isolate Jelavic from midfield support. Cut off the supply.
Offensively we want to hold possession and feed Dyer and Hoilett. Their FBs are vulnerable, keep attacking them. Rodriguez again play on the last man and look to poach. FBs try to restrict your forays forward, we don’t want their wingers feeding Jelavic. Aim to dominate possession boys. Cole keep moving, don’t let Diame and Parker settle on you, get them running.
Subs:
Bellamy for Dyer around 65 mins: Continuing attacking the FBs, with a burst from Bellamy
Bendtner for Rodriguez around 70 minutes: Bully 2 tiring CBs
If Winning:
Perch for Cole: Sit in midfield and break up attacks
If Losing:
Britton for Ramsey: Push on.

Tactics/Team Talk:
Right this week we have gone conventional 4-4-2. When defending we have two banks of four, with one of the strikers dropping back to help if they play 5 in midfield. Distin is in to add speed and power to the centre of defence. Frimpong and Howson you are both box to box CM's, Frimpong do the dirty work and Jonny be the creative guy. Morison be the target man, strong in every aspect. Rhodes be the poacher, gamble. Pilks and Snodgrass get forward and back. Whip in some lovely crosses, take them early if you have to. Boys we have to believe, so go out there with no pressure and express yourselves.

TACTICS (138 words)
We expect one striker this week and should try to cut off the support to Wilbrahim/Morison. Cissokho and Johnson should jockey their wingers wide, not go diving in. Carrick should drop deep to deal with Hoolahan.
If they play very defensive than Gerrard should get forward and support Suarez in a very attacking role, otherwise play box to box with Cabaye doing the same. Vargas and Nani should cut inside and shoot as both can score goals, while Suarez should use his pace to break free as Bennett and Distin are not the quickest defenders.
If we're failing to score, then bring on Carroll to provide height or Long who can run and play on the shoulder. Diarra can come on for Gerrard if we're struggling to dominate the middle, who will provide more energy and tackling ability.

Realistic League – Week 2 Tottenham vs. Fulham
- Spoiler:
- Injuries: Stephen Kelly/Nacer Chadli/Steve Sidwell
GK – Schwarzer
DL – Riise
DC – Hangeland
DC – Hughes
DR – Di Silvestri
DM – Lucas
DM – Murphy
AML – Dempsey
AMR – Ruiz
AM – Dembele
FC – Berbatov
Sub: Stockdale, Boyata, Briggs, Baird, Kasami, Frei, PogrebnyakSchwarzer
Di Silvestri – Hughes -- Hangeland – Riise
Lucas – Murphy
Ruiz – Dembele – Dempsey
Berbatov
We’re going with a 4-2-3-1 against a very tough opposition. We’ve got to be defensively strong, and exploit the wings on the counter. They’ve got a lot of creativity in their midfield so we’re playing 5 in the midfield to flood it and stop them playing there. I want constant pressure on the ball and not allow them time to build. When we’ve got the ball just be patient play it at a slow tempo and wait for our opportunity to break.
Defenders Tactics:
* Operate as one, while staying discipline in your tackling and marking.
* Communicate is key, if someone isn’t working hard, talk to them, if someone is struggling give them support.
* DM’s provide cover for defenders and wingbacks
* Hangeland, Murphy, keep the fullbacks and midfielders in position, don’t allowing them to forget their duties.
* Ruiz and Dempsey will drop and support for 2 solid banks of 4.
Attacking Tactics:
* Dembele you’re our playmaker, create the connection with our DM and attacking players in the final third of the field, help create opportunities.
* Dempsey & Ruiz, Give width to the shape of the team
* Berbatov you’re the lone target man. Be clinical with your finishing.
If winning after 70 then bring on Baird for Murphy and go 5-4-1.
If losing after 70 minutes bring Pogrebnyak for Murphy and go 4-4-2.

Today we will hope to keep possesion, creating many chances. Cole from left back will look to get forward, but both full backs will be solid in defence. Terry and Luiz will be dominant on the floor and in the air. Lampard and Essien will control and patrol the midfield, keeping the ball between them and they will create oppurtunities for the four attacking players.
Ramires and Marin have explosive pace, so will look to get behind the full back and whip in crosses. Mata will have a free role in the CAM position, aiming to creating chances. Importantly today all the attacking three midfielders will rotate positions to pull the opposition trying to mark them out of position.
Higuain is a powerful unit up front. He will look to use his pace and his shooting ability to get the goals put on a plate for him by the midfield.
Subs – 60th min – Gourcuff for Marin, Mata LW Gourcuff CAM.
80th min – Romeu for Essien. Fresh legs in midfield.

---------------Arteta---Sandro----------

Subs: Simpson, Taylor, Benat, Marveaux, Walcott, Ba
Whatever the score after 60 mins, bring on Walcott for Varela (Ben Arfa to LW) to scare them with pace.

TACTICS (138 words)
We disappointed with only a draw last week so we should attack and bounce back this time. The Stoke defense lacks pace and playing Long on the shoulder of the last man means he can use pace and clever runs to cause problems. Carroll should win headers, take long shots and knock the ball down. Carrick should mark Seedorf, or whoever the AM is as he shields the defense while Montolivo goes to box to box with his high energy. If Stoke play narrow, the full backs have license to bombard forward and get crosses in. Play a high line to lessen their striker's threat as Crouch and Walters lack pace.
If winning bring on Gerrard for Long who plays AM, if losing bring on Cabaye and Gerrard for Montolivo and Carrick to get more attack in midfield.

Team Talk:
Keep it tight at the back when they’re attacking. Swansea are a good team and have shown that so far in this league. We’re playing two up front that can both phyisically challenge their defenders.
Defence:
* Look to play it out from the back, and pass to feet.
* Hangeland be vocal and keep the backline organised.
* When they’re attack drop deep and keep tight.
* Riise and Di Silvestri alternate in going forward and don’t leave us light at the back.
* Murphy I want you to stay in front of the defence. Command the midfield, create from deep and dictate the pace. If the ball is out wide then get in the box and get your head on it.
Attack:
* Sidwell you’re playing a box to box role tonight. Support us when we’re defending, look to lerk outside the box when we’re attack. Man-mark Bendtner when he has the ball, push him deep. He’s a lazy player and 9 times out of 10 if he knows he’s not going to have a good game, he’ll give up.
* Dempsey, you're our second striker, I want a lot of movement. be the link between Pogrebnyak, Dembele and Ruiz.
*Pogrebnyak stay upfront at all times, match their defence phyically and get on the end of the supply.
Subs:
If losing at 70m: bring on Frei for Dembele go to a 4-3-3 with Ruiz Dempsey and Pogrebnyak upfront
If winning at 75m: Baird and Frei for Sidwell and Murphy.

Last week we alll know we batterd Arsenal in the 2nd half and rightfully deserved a point. Lets play like that for the full 90 tonight!
GK - Your back after injury, command the back 4. Be strong for corners as they are a big side.
Defence - Your all getting used to one and other now. Gallas and Kelly you have started every game together your becoming a great partnership. Continue your quick passes out from the back.

- Spoiler:
Disappointing loss last time out, I expect much better today. Some big players missing for them, different kind of threat from their reserve striker, be aware. Dempsey will play in behind, so maintain awareness of where he is. Rodwell drop back in to help. They have fast tricky wingers, so be prepared.
Lucas misses out, so Cole and Ramsay exploit it. We have too much pace up front for their defense, Rodriguez in particular, try to isolate Hangeland, he’s no match in a foot race. Try to dictate possession again, and don’t be afraid to run at defenders. We can dictate what happens in midfield.
Subs:
60 mins: Bellamy for Hoilett. Late burst
65 mins: Britton for Ramsey. Help us maintain possession.
If Winning: Fabio for Taylor. Prevent Taylor getting worn down
If Losing: Cole for Maynard. 2 pacy strikers to give their central defense issues.

- Side has lost 3 regualrs this week due to injury meaning carragher gets a debut today. We are looking to play quite a defensive formation again this week. Ferguson sitting in front of the back 4 on debut to control the play from there. Look to get ball to the wings and also Nolan will look to feed Sturridge the ball who will shot from range. Carew playing as lone forward. Will look to hold ball up and get in box for headers etc...Look to keep the ball and play it along the floor.
Sears for Krancjar 65mins
Diop for Ferguson 70mins

Naughton ------------------------- Tierney
Howson - Fox - Johnson
Holt - Rhodes
Team Talk/Tactics:
Fox if they play with a CAM you drop back and mark him. Tierney and Naughton you have license to get forward and put in crosses. Howson and Johnson work box to box. Holt win flick ons, and be a target man. Rhodes, gamble on the flick ons, sit on the final shoulder. Be the poacher. Our back line will be deep, to nullify the runs in behind. Bennett pick up the main striker, with Distin and Martin playing as normal CB's if they only play 1 up front. If they play 2 Martin and Distin pick them up with Bennett covering. Lets build on last week, with a good performance here today. LETS BE HAVIN YOU!!

Newcastle vs. West Ham
- Spoiler:
--------------------------Krul--------------------
-----Debuchy----Taylor------Coloccini---BAE--
------------------Sandro-----Arteta-------------
------Walcott--------Sigurdsson-------Ben Arfa-
-------------------------Cisse--------------------
Subs: Forster, Williamson, Benat, Marveaux, Ba
We have to take the game to WHU today and Intend to do so by attacking. The very essence of our tactics comes in three phases a) unified team pressing of the opposition off of the ball b) short, quick passing to keep the ball and c) fluid movement so players create space for themselves and others. WHU are likely to play 1 big man up front with Sturridge behind, so Collocini will be picking up the main ST whilst Taylor tracks any runs into the box or by other players. The full backs will look to pin their wingers back with attacking intent of their own, and as Sandro will be sitting deep (picking up runs of Sturridge when possible) the defence will have support. Arteta himself will also sit deep and act as a 'playmaker' from there whilst Sigurdsson will do so from a more advanced position in his free role. With Assou Ekotto going past his outside, Ben Arfa can cut inside whilst Walcott is a more direct winger. All will look to feed Cisse in whatever way possible who can convert with his deadly finishing as well as providing movement and link up play himself.
Subs: If drawing/losing after 75 mins: Ba & Benat > Sandro & Sigurdsson; mode attacking intent with two men up front
If winning, keep the same and look to dictate the game with our passing in midfield.
Captain: Coloccini
Set Pieces: Sigurdsson

Tactics
Right lads, Everton are a decent side so we’ll need a strong performance. Need to keep a nice shape and stop them from playing. Given will talk to the backline. They’re most likely to attack down the wings so fullbacks need to stay tight and make them come in from the wings. Centre-Backs will need to stand strong as they have a great aerial threat, so deep line soaking up all the crosses. Petrov will sit back commanding the back four breaking up any play. Ireland will play box-to-box tracking runners and putting a foot in. Wingers will attack whenever possible running at fullbacks whenever possible attacking either down the flanks or cutting inside. Aquilini will play higher up threading balls to Bent and the wide players always making a late run into the box. Bent will make space running off the shoulder behind the last defenders.
Subs
67 Mins – Olsson will replace Warnock adding more aerial threat from set pieces as well as defending deep crosses.
77 Mins – Weimann will replace Bent; will be looking at getting half a yard shooting from long range.
78 Mins – Jean Makoun to replace Ireland adding more steel to the midfield.
