- Spoiler:
- Line Up
----------------------- Lloris
Sagna ---- Koscielny ---- Vermaelen --- Gibbs
--------------- Wilshere ---- M'Vila
Gervinho ------------------------------------ Podolski
----------------- RVP ------ Giroud
Subs: Jenkinson,Squillaci, Allen, Song,Rosicky and Park
Tactics:
Play on the counter, attack their full backs once they've come forward, Keep possession when have it frustrate them and draw them out , Defence sit on the 18 yard box so their quick players can't get in behind force them out wide so they have to cross it. Mvila to sit on the AM and clatter Rooney if drops deep, Wilshere to spray the play about, RVP to drop deep and control the play looking for through balls , Wingers should make runs in between the fb/cb to confuse them, Giroud stick to ferdinand and use your timing to get in behind.
Subs: If winning Giroud off and song on go 4-5-1

Tottenham v Norwich
- Spoiler:
- Friedel
Walker---Vertonghen---Heitinga---Baines
Fellaini---Modric---Tiote
Dzagoev---Hazard---Bale
Subs: Barkley, Amos, Defoe, Livermore, Caulker, Jenas,
Injuries: Emmanuel Adebayor/Danny Rose/Younes Kaboul
GK to command, be vocal to back line, FBs to contain wingers and block crosses, link up play with Bale & Dzagoev going forward. Heitinga to rough up A returning Holt, few hard tackles and Holt will be off his game, Vertonghen to ensure if a 2nd striker is played they are nullified.
Fellaini and Tiote given the role of Enforcers, both to physically dominate from the off to not allow Norwich to settle, whilst they pressure it will then allow Modric to control the ebb and flow as he looks to the fluid three in front of him.
Going Spain style with no true striker role and with the three attacking options of Bale, Dzagoev and Hazard given free reign to interweave and drag players out of position to create space for the others, between them they can take on the player, pass and move and shoot from distance so I want them to adapt to Norwich's back line tactics.
Subs:
If losing at 70m: Defoe for Tiote
If winning at 75m: Barkley for Modric

Team Talk: Good win last week, build on it. We're playing Donovan/Ziegler on the wing so that we suprise Villa, they'll probably set up for Downing/Lennon. Continue the push!
Vorm: Command box/be strong in air, they have good headers. Sweep up throughballs.

TACTICS (137 words)
We have to get a win on the board after drawing our first three games. Sturridge and Nolan are their main threats going forward, and as a team we should make sure that pressure is quickly put on those two players when in possession, but other than that we will play with structure defensively in lines, to be hard to break down.
Diarra should sit to allow the full backs to bombard forward, providing the width, and Cabaye and Gerrard should get forward in box to box roles. Nani and Suarez should both cut inside onto their stronger foot, they are like old fashioned 'inside forwards' Helmes is an out and out goalscorer and should use his pace to play on the shoulder. Their defense seriously lacks pace and we should try to take advantage of that.

Re: Tactics Submission
Week 4: Norwich City v Stoke City
- Spoiler:
- Injuries: Peter Crouch, Ryan Taylor, Wilson Palacios
Starting XI (3-4-3):Asmir Begovic
Robert Huth - Matthew Upson - Ryan Shawcross
Chris Brunt - Clarence Seedorf - Abou Diaby - Matthew Etherington
Ashley Young - Jonathan Walters - Gael Kakuta
Subs: Thomas Sorensen, Jonathan Woodgate, Alan Hutton, Darron Gibson, Jermaine Pennant, Rory Delap, Adam Le Fondre
Playing 3-4-3 today to nullify Norwich's front two and match them in midfield. Back three, Huth marks Holt, Shawcross marks Rhodes, Upson the extra man. Midfield four, be a solid line when not in possession. Brunt track the LW/LWB, Etherington track the RW/RWB, Diaby patrol the midfield, track the AM if they play one, Seedorf to play the Quarterback role infront of the defence. Front three, counter attacking Young and Kakuta to use their pace, get beyond the defence and cross, or cut inside and pass/shoot. Switch wings occasionally to trouble the defence. Walters, use your strength, stick to one CB and make runs away from him to be free for crosses. Setpieces, Brunt to take freekicks/corners, Huth/Shawcross/Upson/Walters the targets, rest of the midfield to cover the defence. Walters to take penalties.
Subs 70 mins
If winning: Seedorf and Kakuta off, Gibson and Hutton on. Switch to 4-4-1-1, Hutton RB, Upson LB, Gibson CM, Young the AM behind Walters and absorb pressure before counter attacking.
If drawing: Walters and Brunt off, Le Fondre and Pennant on. Same system, Pennant with more pace and attacking intent at RM, and Le Fondre as the new striker with fresh ideas and a different threat. Go for the win.
If losing: Panic! Brunt and Upson off, Pennant and Le Fondre on. Go to a brave 2-4-4, if we're losing we need to go for it and take risks, although hopefully this idea is not required.

If losing: 70 mins - Holt for Hoolahan. Fox for Johnson. Bennett for Burke. Go conventional 4-4-2 with Holt and Rhodes up top.
Tactics/Team Talk: Today boys I want us to play beautiful football. Build from the back. FB's look to get the ball off the GK and hit Howson or Hoolahan. If they have 1 up front Distin marks, Bennett sweeps. If not pick up a man each. FB's you have pace, show them outside and block the cross. Johnson you are the enforcer, if they have an AM pick him up. Howson look to be creative. Hit the wings or Hoolahan. Burke/Snodgrass, help back with the FB, but stay really wide when we attack. Look to beat your man and get low crosses in. Hoolahan look to create chances for Rhodes. Hit the wingers, or a little ball in behind. Rhodes be a poacher, sit on the last man, and make runs in behind. Also look for the low crosses, by making near post runs. Lets get our first win of the season on the board!

------Walcott-----------------------Ben Arfa--
------------------------Ba-------------------
Subs: Forster,?Debuchy, Taylor, Varela, Sigurdsson
We are surrounding Arsenal at all opportunities today, with our universal team pressing which should nullify any time and space they get on the ball. When on the ball ourselves we will play our own typical short quick passing style but it will be in a 'counter attack' style with fluid movement so as we catch them off guard. We have Sandro as our anchor man who will cut out the creative essence of Arsenals play, whilst our full backs will remain defensive in picking up their wingers, only attacking on the counter. Coloccini will pick up their main striker, whilst Douglas will track runners into the box. Arteta & Benat are our main creative forces, however they will remain deep using passing to pick out players in space. Our wingers (particularly Ben Arfa) will confuse them my both running inside and outside, but the essence is to get the ball to Ba, who is a typical poacher & a figure head for our link up play.
Captain: Coloccini
Set Pieces: Arteta
Penalties: Ba
If losing/drawing after 75 mins: Sigurdsson > Arteta
If losing/drawing after 75 mins: Debuchy > Azpilicueta, attacking RB.

Right lads fantastic opening month 6 points from a possiable 9 and were playing some great football that is getting plaudits from a lot of people. Southampton are coming to us today and we know from last season they are a good side. But as proven last season when we play are game we can easily beat them.
Goalkeeper - Continue your fine form. Your very confident continue to dominate your area and boss the back 4.
Defence - Your all getting to know each other very well. I have kept the same back 4 pretty much every game and every time i have been rewarded. Continue your solid work. Gallas make sure Lambert is coverd at all times.
Midfield - Look to dominate it. Wingers continue to scare there full backs. Dean and Jordan you can easily bash past there centre mids and look to play in drogs and carlton. Also knock it out wide whenever possiable.
Strikers - Drogs there is intrest all around the world in you. Form of your life people are saying. Continue it up today. Carlton your making your debut today, your playing upfront with a class player look to use your strength and pace to free him whenever possiable.
COME ON BOYS !!!!

Right lads, we’re at home today so let’s get the fans right behind us from kick-off! Centre-Backs will need to be strong and physical in the air dealing with all crosses. Sit tight on Berbatov, stop him from playing!Full-backs keep tight marking wingers. Don’t let them run past you, usher them inside so midfield can defend in numbers. Lopes can get forward on the attack. DM’s will sit and shield the defence, short passing linking up play while also looking for the killer pass over the top. Provide cover for the full-backs if they’re in trouble. Aquilini thread the ball through at all times playing in the wingers/striker. Look for cleaver passes playing balls over the top and behind the defenders. Wingers have a licence to attack terrorising their fullbacks, lots of running and crosses. Bent again play on the last defender exposing space by running in from behind.
Substations
56 Mins – Ireland to replace Makoun. Slightly more forward role playing through balls to the wide men and striker.
77 Mins – Saha to swap with Bent. Again look for space behind the defence using your height and strength to win flick-ons.

Pienaar
Routledge
Dorrans

Lukaku
Tactics.
Flat back four fullbacks stay back and be aware of Welbecks diagonal runs, line half way between by line and half way. No offside trap, Rooney and Welbeck are quick but not quick enough to run clear of you from that distance. The outball is a diagonal in between fullback and centre for Lukaku to run on to.
Midfield 2 sitters, Pienaar control the ball/tempo when possible, you are good enough in this position - Mulumbu shadow Rooney, don't dive in he can't beat you, make him funnel it out wide - they won't beat us in the air in the box.
Run at uniteds fullbacks if possible, they are vulnerable. Dorrans if you are 20 yards out run at their mids, strootman is unproven at this tempo - dont lose it further back.
Lukaku, you will get a headed chance - take it. Run in behind centre half and full back. Rough up their centre halfs.
Subs: Tchoyi for Routledge (change to Thomas Tchoyi Dorrans) at 70 mins if losing, Wondowlosi for Thomas at 80 no matter what.
We got a result here 2 years ago against a better united side, believe - go out their and do it.

Corluka-Dann-Williams-Taylor
Frimpong-Rodwell
Dyer-Cole-Hoilett
Rodriguez
Subs:
Jaaskalainan
Johnson
Cuellar
Clyne
Guedioura
Ramsay

Tactics:
Big win last time out at Fulham, big ask at Spurs. Frimpong you’re in to pick up whoever drops into the hole and sweep up. Dann and Williams pick up the striker(s) and make sure you cover the FBs against the wingers. Rodwell press the space in midfield, whole the front 4 press the ball when it’s in their half.
Defensively, their best holding midfielder misses out, so Cole look to pick up the free space. We’ll try to hit them on the counter, so Dyer and Hoilett look to break into space and isolate their fullbacks. Rodriguez play on the shoulder of the last man, and Cole make intelligent runs in behind.
Remember, while we have the ball they can’t attack, look to retain possession if a killer ball isn’t on.
Subs:
Johnson for Williams 60 mins: Restablish your partnership with Dann

Schwarzer - Command your area. Use your experience to instruct the defence.
Defending -
Lucas playing clean up. Mceachran, support him. Lots of movement and commitment please.
Fullbacks, coordinate you runs. Don't leave us light at the back.
Two solid banks of four when we're defending.
See their wingers onto their weaker foot.
Close down their MC's when on the ball to stop them creating.
They've got pace upfront so a deep line to cope with it
Attacking -
Move the ball quickly and along the floor. N'Zogbia is out. they're likely to play Agbonlahor out wide. He won't track back use this to our advantage.
Wingers, cut in to shoot and go down the line to cross.
Berbatov, stay the point man. Get on the end of crosses and be clinical in-front of goal.
Dempsey, Play a second striker role. Be the link between the midfield and forward.
If losing at 60 minutes - bring on Pogrebnyak for Mceachran and go a 4-1-2-1-2 formation with Dempsey supporting the two strikers.
If winning at 75 - bring on Baird for Wright-Phillips and changed to a 5-4-1. Go defensive and play long.

Subs: Rose, Amos, Defoe, Livermore, Heitinga, Jenas,

GK to command, be vocal to back line, FBs to contain wingers and block crosses, link up play with Bale & Hazard going forward. Kaboul to rough up Rodriguez with a few hard tackles, Caulker to be aware of any wingers coming in or AMs breaking through.
Fellaini and Barkley both to physically battle from the off to not allow Swansea to settle, whilst they pressure it will then allow Modric to control the ebb and flow as he looks to the three in front of him.
Bale and Hazard to control the flanks with movement, speed and intelligence, mix up their game with beating the man round the back to whip balls across for Ade to cutting inside and threading them through. Don't be afraid to hit one from distance. Ade in the poacher role, reserve energy, then when it matters strike with clinical precision.

Re: Tactics Submission
Chelsea v Everton
This is my first game in charge and I am expecting the players to show me what they can do. We've had a slow start to the season and there's no excuse - the players are individually capable to beat everyone and now they need to gel as a side. I expect a win from my side today.

Tactics:
- Cahill and Luiz to stay alert at set pieces and positionally when they are down the flanks - there'll be plenty of crosses coming in and we need to be prepared for that.
- Ivanovic and Cole to be smart and choose when to go forward and when to hold back. When they overlap, the wingers will drop a bit deeper just in case Everton break.
- Veloso and Essien to stifle attacks and be smart when the other player goes forward. Close down all game forcing Parker to make long passes.
- Lampard to roam and fill the gaps in between midfield and defence where he can be a danger. Also overlap Torres and break into the box.
- Wingers to stay narrower than usual, giving Torres support and allowing the full backs to overlap.
- Torres to play off the shoulder and look to get in behind, picking up balls from the wingers and Lampard.
- Impact players to come on and run at tired legs.

Defnce, double team drogba at all times, don’t let him influence at all, whoever is not covering, look to support where needed or mark the other striker if ther is one,, fullbacks, look tostop crosses so put the wingers in difficult postions and don’t let them get past you or into crossing positions, CMs will try and controlthe midfield, form a barrier infront of the defence, wingers will help the FBs.
Attack. Diarra more defensive, davis , make support runs to lambert and look to get beyong him, move about and actas an AM when attacking, wingers look to cross into lambert but also cut in and shoot themselves, but primarily crossing. Lambert make runs in the box for crosses and use your weight to dominate the CBs. Shoot from range if needed.

Tough game today, Spurs will be pretty strong but I want us to try and take the game to them. Playing 4-5-1/4-3-3 to dominate the midfield and also try to support Owen upfront. Wilkinson/Figueroa, watch for Hazard/Dzagoev swapping wings and running at you. Bully them off the ball. Huth/Shawcross, keep Adebayor under wraps, stop his service and read the game to beat him to the ball. Whelan/Gibson/Diaby, skillful opponents but they wont like it up 'em, get stuck in, use your strength and pressurise them into errors. Bully them off the ball. Shelvey/Kakuta, with the ball, support Owen and form a front 3, without the ball, drop back into a midfield 5. Work hard on the wings, use your pace and trickery to create space and chances. Owen, run all day, work hard, close down the defence to stop them passing out of defence, shoot on sight.
Long range Freekicks: Figueroa
Close range Freekicks: Shelvey
Corners: Shelvey

Subs 70 mins:
If winning/drawing: Walters and Brunt on, Owen and Kakuta off. Play a more conventional 4-5-1 with Brunt at LM, Shelvey at RM and Walters the CF.
If losing: Walters, Kightly and Ameobi on, Owen, Shelvey and Whelan off. Go to an attacking 4-4-2, use the width and get crosses into the box. Kightly RM, Kakuta LM. Walters and Ameobi to use their height and strength to cause problems.

Tactics/Team Talk: This is going to be no easy game today boys. Today we will look to play on the counter attack. Back four, be narrow and keep a flat line. Bennett pick up the man, Distin sweep, if 2 up front both pick up. FB's look to be solid defensively, but if you can get forward do so. Johnson you patrol the back four, pick up the CAM/SS if there is one. Howson and Allen help back, but when we have the ball dictate play. Both be box to box. Wingers we are going to use your pace against there slow FB's to counter, so stay wide and look to use your pace to create chances from crosses. Also help the FB's in defence. Holt be the target man. Hold the play if needs be, but look to pounce on the wingers crosses. Boys we will use the counter attack today, so be solid in defence and look to attack with pace down the wings on the counter. Don't underestimate these boys just because they are bottom, they have a better manager now. Boys lets chalk up another win.

TACTICS (143 words)
Robinson should be vocal and command the defense, we should play a deepish line and win all of the aerial balls. No nonsense, just get the ball and smash it clear. Alonso is good going forward and should do so to support Pederson as we look to dominate that flank. Ferriera should drop deep and make sure he has a head start in any race for the ball.
Henry should go in with flying tackles to win possession and Cork can do the same but get forward slightly more. The wingers should use their trickery to get past the full backs and get crosses in. Chamakh is good in the air and should win the ball and get between the centre backs as a target man, while Sturridge has a more free role, looking to make runs in and around and finding space.

Bale and Dzagoev to control the flanks with movement, speed and intelligence, look to act as the second striker if the opposite winger has the ball by getting into the box. Hazard to have a free role to double up with attacking options where needed. Damiao to use his trickery against old school defenders, a rainy day in Stoke will never have seen your Rainbow skills before.

Right lads a very very tough game today at a good Everton side. But were in amazing form and have a great chance of picking up all 3 points today. Last week we gave a lot of fringe players ago and they showed they are certenally apart of this football club despite losing to an impressive Tottenham side. We welcome Kevin Nolan into our side today and i believe this man can make us achive even more than what were achieving now. An experince goal scoring centre mid with a class up and coming star.
Goalkeeper - Clean sheet last time you played against Southampton make it back to back clean sheets with a commanding game.
Defence- A very solid back 4 we have here and that our understanding each other even more week in week out. It is one of the most solid in the league atm and you have a huge test today.
Midfield - As i said earlier in the middle it looks very good. Nolan and Henderson is a remarkable paring. Kebe and Jobi are proving a real handfull so are power fire going forward is very good.
Strikers - Drog is back this week. Him and Carlton looked class together last game against Southampton so lets hope this partnership continues today. Drog continue your world class form. Cole your 1 in 1 atm make it 2 in 2 today son.
COME ON LADS !!!

Van Dew Wiel Skrtl Hangeland Vargas
Carrick Gerrard
Nani Rossi Suarez
Carroll
4-2-3-1
Unbeaten so far in the season and going to the emirates is never easy. However, I believe that the balance of the team is ideally equipped to deal with the tough task.
[spoiler]
GK-Stay alert, Arsenal will look to play in behind us with Hangeland lacking in pace.
Def-Soak up the pressure from Arsenal. They will look to pass and pass on the edge of the area. Full backs show the wingers onto their weaker foot every time, forcing them to cross with their weaker foot, Hangeland and Skrtl will be comfortable with any aerial deliveries. Close down quickly on the edge of the areas, that's where the danger will be. Wingers track back and provide cover for full backs.
Mid-Maintain possesion, now needless long balls, 5 yard passing through Carrick with Gerrard bursting from midfield, run at the Arsenal defence. Get the ball to Suarez and Nani as often as possible. Rossi will drop deep to collect possesion also.
Attack-Carroll stay on the should of the last defender, ready for crosses from Nani and Suarez. Also look for Rossi to play little passes in behind. Plenty of shots within 20 yards, Nani and Suarez to switch wings every now and again. Counter attack quickly, Gerrard to burst forward, as with the two full backs to overlap on Suarez and Nani. C'mon lads!

Team Talk: Still unbeaten lads, don't let to change today. Reading are a solid side but their fullbacks/wingers are the weak link. Downing and Lennon will be key today.

Enrique/Santon: Impose yourself onto their wingers, dominate them. Force them to change their gameplan. Overlap when possible, get back.
Dawson/Jagielka: Daws man mark Drogba out of the game, he's a confidence player get him to switch off. Jags watch the second striker (Cole?). In the air be dominant.
Diamé: Get in the face of their midfielders, make them not want the ball. Help Jags clear up.
Parker/Pranjic: We should have 3 vs 2 in the middle so lets use it. Simple passes and get us attacking. Stop their cms from playing (Henderson and maybe Nolan?)
Downing/Lennon: Keep their fullbacks guessing, crosses/surges inside. You dominate and we win!
Jelavić: Make it 4 in 4. Split the cb's and if you get a chance take it!

Sub – 80 Mins, If Losing! Nathan Delfouneso to come on for Chris Herd. Play 4-3-3 with Gabby and Nathan on the wings. Run at the defenders
Tactics
Tough game today lads; let’s show them what we’re about! Defenders lots of talking we’ll be dealing with a lot of wide play so tight marking try and force them onto their weaker foot. Centre Backs play a deeper line and deal with all crosses/high balls. Let’s win all aerial balls. DM – Stop their AM from playing, mark him out the game and put a foot in, simple short passing when going forward. CM’s hard tacking, helping out doubling up when defending. Let’s crowd them out, Herd play box-to-box with late supporting runs into box. All attacking play goes through Aquilani. Intelligent through balls in and behind the spaces, looking for the fullbacks who will overlap on the attack. Saha/Bent let’s look to bully their defenders with your height winning headers. Bent, use your pace to run off the last shoulder into the space behind.

Jaaskalainan (inj)

Tactics:
Ok, today we play a tough Villa team, Bannan comes in for Cole to make a 3 man midfield in the middle, we have 3 very good players in there, I expect us to take control. If Bent plays, be aware of what hes doing Dann and Williams, he has the movement to punish us if we give him a sniff. They’ll likely have pace down the flanks, need to be ready to cover too.
When we have the ball try and maintain possession until we can isolate FBs against our wingers, or feed a through ball. Adebayor, you have the all round game to bully the defenders, look to get on the end of through balls and crosses. Bannan and Ramsey feel free to push on when we have the ball but make sure to drop back when we don’t.
Subs:
If winning: 65 mins: Bannan for Perch, drop back into midfield and cover the defense
If losing: 65 mins: Bannan for Cole, drop into the hole and make runs
If losing: 85 minutes: Rodriguez for Rodwell: Get alongside Adebayor and look to nick something late.

----Azpilicueta--Douglas--Coloccini---BAE--
-----------------Toulalan--Arteta-----------
-------Walcott------Sigurdsson----Ben Arfa--
------------------------Cisse----------------
The essence of our football revolves around retaining possession. We have attacking full backs who will primarily mark the opposition winger out of the game by showing them inside. Toulalan is our holding midfielder who will allow Arteta to create from deep whilst Sigurdsson has a freedom to create in a free role. Our wingers should run hard at the full backs and seek to get the ball into Cisse as quickly as possible, as will Sigurdsson. They all can shoot from 20 yards, and while using his link up play, Cisse will mainly use his strength and predatory skills to poach goals which give us the victory.

Defence:
Home game fullbacks to push on today. Offside trap for long balls from Newcastles own half when we pressure the ball. Otherwise usual line and go with cisse.
Midfield:
Wanyama and mulumbu keep everything tight, no free shots, hit dorrans early vs their new fullback. Sigurdson isn't much of a playmaker but watch his runs, he doesn't run past you even if you have to obstruct him.
Forwards:
They'll push us inside, if so odemwinge drop deep and knock it off first time to on rushing pienaar, who can shoot or play in other flank. They won't be able to deal with this- then hit them on the outside and cross for odem late on. Triangles round toulalan, e turns like a bus but good in the tackle.
2 great performances away to united and Chelsea, now put some points on the board.
