I wonder what the smallest number of surnames you could fill an international class 15 with is. Smith and Jones and Williams would cover a lot!

Glos won 20-6, fair play I was impressed at how Dan Murphy did Flise, 2 penalties, 1 free kick and a penalty try from him. For someone who was hopeless last year he's come on well

Don't be fooled prop, Murphy occasionally pulled out a big performance when he played for us as well, but 90% of the time his scrummaging is gash!

I'm pretty happy with 10 lines and 10 points tbh, I think people get carried away sometimes and I know personally the longer the tactics the less likely it is I'll read them.

Agree, if people go overboard I skim read so would rather shorter tactics.

Right.....
Budgets should be up to date as of today.
I'm off to Bahrain for a month or two so time on may be limited depending on Hotel internet access.
Euro fixtures need sorting but I'll try and get round to that out there.
SJE is in charge so give him some sh it
Catch you later boys

All this drama about Cipriani and then Haskell being the first English players to play Super Rugby and now I find out that they were beaten to it. Great bit of trivia knowledge, the man mountain that is Julian White turned out for the Crusaders in 1997! Brilliant!
Now that's a player that's built for Super Rugby!

I'd say Care and Youngs are neck and neck at the moment. Youngs may have the more potential long term but right now its a real dog fight for the 9 shirt. Young has to come back from this injury. Took him nearly a full season to get over the last one

Re: Fantasy Premiership Season 1 - Homepage
I used to really detest Care, but he's improved massively.
Personally think Youngs is one of our true world class players and just has that ability to rip teams apart (AP final, SA test). I've loved him since I seen him play against SA for Tigers.

I don't used to like Care either. But really has improved his mentality an game over the past two years. Kind of glad we have some good nines now for England. Once Harry Ellis retired I thought we were up the creak for decent 9's!

Re: Fantasy Premiership Season 1 - Homepage
Just great we are in a position with competition for shirts, just need to find another TH! God help us if Cole gets injured!
Youngs doing what he does best is great to watch, its just that crabbing and stepping to the 10 that infuriates me, but I'm a bit of an old school ten. I hate it when the scrummy takes all my space and draws the back row onto me!

Re: Fantasy Premiership Season 1 - Homepage
That's the way him and Flood work, give Flood more options on the line. Think that's why he struggled so much with Farrell as he sits so deep and doesn't commit the line.
Youngs should be able to adapt quicker but he's never played that way, still a young boy though and a quick learner. His box kicks were on the button by the second test.
Agree though, great options to have. I'd be happy with either him or Care & pretty happy with both the Dicksons.

Youngs and Flood on top form is the future for England, that's for sure.

Without a doubt. There's a few on other AP who rate Farrell higher but I'm at a loss to see how. Flood has the lot but just isn't top draw, just misses the consistency.
People want a Carter but he's a once in a generation, Cruden could be the next one.
