You don't need a replacement as such mate. He is still available for you to play him, but bear in mind that most of us managers tend to down rate players who are long term injured after a while. It's difficult to rate someone that's been out of the game for a while and it's worse in the of Mitchell, as he has only just returned from a long term injury.
Ironically, it now means he will be available to you for the whole of the Rugby Championship, but past that tournament, his form will be pretty low I guess

OK. I haven't selected him this game as he was in the last matchday squad for AUS. I'm also assuming I can no longer pick Conrad as he is fit again? Or has he not been named in a squad yet and is "available"? It's kind of going to define my team!

Johnny... I'll just look at a fine of 3m for no team sheet unless previously told.
Wasps is another matter, not seen much of GF.

Re: Fantasy Premiership Season 1 - Homepage
Basically,
No player named in an international 22 can play in this league on the same weekend.
A player not named in the 22 can be selected, but if they have travelled and/or trained with a squad recently, they will be subject to fatigue and managers take this into account (varying amounts)
That about right Pooly / SJE - for the new people's benefit (and a reminder to me)

Yea sounds good.
I would mark you down heavily for playing Franks for example as still part of AB squad but SBW would be fine as released and not going back.

But this weekend is a rest weekend which presumably means that any players (e.g. c Smith) who were not in a travelling squad last week due to injury but are likely to play NEXT weekend for which no squad has yet been named could be selected without repercussion? Conrad Smith isn't playing this weekend and didn't travel last week so can I play him and not be counted as him being tired?

True Franks will be knackered. He's been playing a blinder too! Effect will be worse for a forward, especially a TH. I don't see that much of a detriment on the backs though, especially with a week's break this weekend

Im the same with SBW as you and Mitchell CJ. Won't be playing him this week after two games and the travelling but will be back next week for me.
Smith is a funny one he hasn't been involved with the squad yet but will have been training with them. I reckon you can get away with him though. I won't rate him down

Re: Fantasy Premiership Season 1 - Homepage
SBW fine with me, but as i've said, once he goes to Japan, he'll gradually decline (albeit from the #1 centre in the world!)
Mitchell not in great form in general, not been impressed by him (or any AUS backs to be honest). I won't rate him down much, but I'm not rating him that highly based on current form anyways. By the end of the 4Ns, his rating will be rock bottom, around normal aviva club player level for me, as lacking so much form and injured, impossible to rate higher.

Re: Fantasy Premiership Season 1 - Homepage
Alright Lads.
Been hectic recently. Should be on more regularly now.
Not watched alot of rugby, but from the little i've seen NZ are still on another level. Arg lacked try scoring ability in the first test, but in the 2nd test could of come away with a win, but had to settle for a draw. Forwards could compete. SA missing Burger quite badly.
First couple of weeks is tough for predos. No form to go on for domestic players, because they haven't played for a good 2/3 months.

No worries mate, you're a good lad
Itll be interesting in the first few weeks. Reckon tactics will be key. Looking towards players that have been played regularly in the friendlies as key form.

10 players you are watching like a hawk this weekend- probably AP but could be PRO12 or T14 too! Can be related to this game or just interest
1- K Brown at Sarries- is he back to his best?
2- B Botica at Quins- how is his debut?
3- Charlie Walker at Quins- can he make an impact off the bench, how does he compare to Wasps' Launchbury in their match
4- Joe Launchbury at Wasps- for England
5- James Haskell at Wasps- can he put in a display against his England rival and captain, Robshaw?
6- Shane Geraghty at Irish- is he the player he was at Irish a few seasons ago? Can I make use of him as an impact sub?
7- Danny Cipriani at Sale- what can Sale do with England's talented troublemaker?
8- Joel Tomkins at Saracens- is he Sarries' answer at 13? Can he spark their line and can he manage Union defence at this level?
9- George Ford at Tigers- I imagine he will come on once(if) Welsh are down a few. How has his conditioning affected his game?
10- Mako Vunipola at Saracens- how is his scrummaging?

1 - Launchberry, think he has potential for England to be a class lock
2. - Waldlouck - one of the best all round centres imo, interesting if he can rejuventa himself
3. Cips - why else!
4. Any of the young EQ hookers!
5. Matt Tait perennially injured, want to see him comeback strong, loved watching him play
6. O's halfbacks - I love the combination, both very talented and could easily take over on the international stage soon I reckon
7. BOD - how much longer does he have left!?
8. Parks - I want to see how much of an impact he can make when he will play in a team that actually wants his style of play!
9. Munster backrow - lots of good players but no out and out specific players nailed on, where they can all cover each position.
10. Welsh - how they will actually get on this season.

Re: Fantasy Premiership Season 1 - Homepage
Very excited to see how Losi does tomorrow. Starting at 12 a position he's played very little (if ever). Especially with the option of Geraghty to play there it seems a strange call unless Smith was very impressed by his performance there against Munster (only after Ansbro was injured did he move there). Will definetly make Sarries think, because his threat is real. Not sure about his distrubution. But the pace in our backline tomorrow is huge. Losi, Joseph, Yarde, Ojo and Homer are all rapid. And TOL is quick for a 9 as well.
Other players - Joel Tomkins, Cips, Botica, Crane, Ashton and TOL.

I think it would work. The football leagues do it. And it would be good to provide feedback afterwards. If you then sent me results Pooly I could produce a brief report of the games? (or I could do it all?!)

Yes Driver i was there.
Irish Abysmal. Sarries weren't particularly good, but got a TBP win, so fair play i suppose.
Wasps-Quins by far the better game. Quins defence looked shaky in first half, but put that down to start of season. Too many turnovers, and the ease at which Wade exposed them was scary. Wasps bottled it but showed that if they can keep a fit squad a top 6 place isn't totally out of the question. No aimless kicking in that game, whereas both Irish and Sarries kicked aimlessly a lot in the first half. Ashton did ok, but yellow was totally uneeded. He needs to eradicate that side of his game. Losi at 12 didn't work. Got to move the best winger in the league back to the wing.
Too much use of TMO because of new powers. And each use took way to long. As soon as the Trev and Ashton incidents took place i said penalty, yellow card. Yet Wayne Barnes had to refer it. This was worse in the Ashton case as the touch judge was within 10 metres as well. I felt it didn't help the flow.
I can see refs becoming scared to make decisions.

Some teams are going to go to Wycombe and get a hiding from Wasps this season if the weather is favourable. Fully fit pack plus new back row plus fit Simpson plus options at 10 plus new centres plus fit Wade and Varndell on the wings = tries

I know on the Euro football league they pm results and feedback to the league runners, the runner does results then posts it up with the feedback. Think it would be hard to stop tactical voting if it ever started though. We all seem an honest bunch though so dont think it will be an issue. Maybe talk to Pete as I think they had problems in Season 1 of the original game but wasnt around then so not sure how they fixed it up.

Some changes to the Aussie lineup. Shipperly gets a start. Surprised that Higgy got dropped and Dennis keeps his spot. Would have thought Higgy/Hooper/Samo would be a great back row.
Australia: 15 Kurtley Beale, 14 Dominic Shipperley, 13 Adam Ashley-Cooper, 12 Berrick Barnes, 11 Digby Ioane, 10 Quade Cooper, 9 Will Genia (c), 8 Radike Samo, 7 Michael Hooper, 6 Dave Dennis, 5 Nathan Sharpe, 4 Sitaleki Timani, 3 Ben Alexander, 2 Stephen Moore, 1 Benn Robinson
16 Tatafu Polota Nau, 17 James Slipper, 18 Scott Higginbotham, 19 Liam Gill, 20 Nick Phipps, 21 Mike Harris, 22 Anthony Fainga'a
