On the morning of Saturday 1st July 1967, South African player Cliff Drysdale got married at Paddington Register Office. He then went to Wimbledon to play his last 16 match against Roger Taylor in the afternoon. (He lost.)

Bill Tilden got arrested for having sex with a 14 year old boy in a moving car in 1946. He didn't have his glasses with him so signed the confession without reading it.

Arthur reached the final of the Cincinnati Masters (as was) in 1941, but lost to Bobby Riggs. Nevertheless we were very proud of him.

Andre Agassi happened to forget his underpants for the opener of his 1999 Roland Garros campaign.

Having won that first round match he then decided to keep the 'streak' going, so never wore underpants throughout the tournament. He went on to take the title. Wink

He would have regretted it if Murray was on the other side of the net...

Possibly the shortest tennis match is the match that lasted just 20 minutes, when Susan M. Tutt beat Marion Bandy 6-0, 6-0 at the Wimbledon tournament in 1969.

In contrast to the above, the longest point in professional tennis lasted 29 minutes.

... and the winner of the point collapsed in her chair to be warned by the Umpire of a time violation if she didn't get up! Happy Days!

Shortest current female tennis player is Llagostera Vives is who 5'1' and abit! Tallest is Eva Hrdinová standing at 6'3'. Height difference 1 foot 2 inches. For the men, shortest is Olivier Rochus at 5'5, tallest is Ivo Karlovic at 6'10'...difference of 1 foot 5 inches...so the men win!

Olivier Rochus beat Karlovic on grass in Nottingham one year (?). Incredible performance to beat a guy a foot and a half taller than you.
