what will the fall out be to DirecTV dropping Spike?
So impactwrestling.com are reporting that DirecTV have dropped Spike TV along with 20 odd other channels. How will this effect TNA? Naturally it will mean lower ratings as thousands of DirecTV subscribers will no longer have Spike but will this cause a massive loss financially for TNA? Will they have to look for a new channel and if so are there any other viable alternatives on American TV? I feel so bad for the company after all they've done over the past 18 months to improve their product. I feel gutted for Austin Aries as this has happened just after he got his big break. I'd hate to see TNA go backwards because of this after everything they done to move forwards.

Will the deal still be the same for the UK?

Yeah I don't think we're effected but nevertheless I'm worried about the long term ramifications of this - without knowing more about US TV I don't know whether TNA even have any realistic alternatives to jump ship to.

The only way TNA can be directly affected is a drop in ratings, which given the scale of DirectTV's viewership, I think is inevitable. Lower ratings means less advertising revenue, which, if they fall far enough, could mean Spike drop TNA. Impact, though, is one of, if not the most watched program on Spike so I can't see that happening.
