Grand Slam Empty Grand Slam

Post by bluemoda1 Thu 26 Jul 2012, 9:06 pm

Tipp are on for the Munster Grand Slam:-

Senior Hurling Champions:-
Minor Hurling Champions:-
Intermediate Hurling Champions:-

The U21 final in August.

Cork, wouldn't you know it, did this slam twice, in the 1960s and again in 2005. Tipp have never achieved this.

Oh, did I mention that we are also the Munster Minor football champions too. Very Happy

Cork have done it and by the end of the year I think we will still be the only team to have done it I'd say. Tipp are motroing along nicely, the Cork GAA farm in both sports is pretty great despite having a complete tool in charge of it all.

Ah you don't mean the esteemed Mr. Murphy by any chance?

Apparently this years push for silverware at all levels is costing the Tipp county board 25K a week! Shocked

Good luck with it though.

Yep, and that's on top of the 220,000 euros deficit from last year.

Tipp Football Supporters Club raised €21,000 on a sponsored cycle last week and there's more fundraising planned.
