Grand Slam this 6ns?
Before the tournament started i would of said NO, No team will win the Grand Slam this year.
But 3 games played Wales, Ireland, France all with a chance.
I would say France are team to win the Grand Slam.
Any one disagree with that?

Hmmm. Tough choices there.

Grand Slam?
Hmmm. Given how assured Wales look, if Ireland managed to get past them next week, then perhaps Ireland have it in them. But of course it will require a big step up in evidence of improvement.
Same for Wales. If they can swat us aside with contempt next week, then they'll be in a good place.
Still think France will struggle to keep focus for long enough.
But it's all guesswork of course. The Ireland v Wales game is Big now.... as it was anyway. Always is.

We KNOW for a FACT that it won't be England winning the grand slam innit.
Too early to tell but France and Wales looking good in my 'onest opinion.

Re: Grand Slam this 6ns?
2008 and 2012 both Welsh Grand Slams, both involved beating England and Ireland away from home just after a Rugby World Cup.
It will be decided by the forwards. France look good but beatable with a good half back like Biggar making the right decisions. If Wales move Ireland around they should win. England at Twickenham will be Wales' toughest game.

Wales can do it, I expect them to if they beat Ireland, but not without Liam W IMO. We also need Navidi back as he is the only Welsh player now who can compete at the breakdown. Wales tactic of committing nobody to breakdown is because we dont have any jackals.

We had seven turnovers. Tipuric, Lewis, Jones, Tompkins and Faletau I think
Reading an interview with Warburton he was saying by committing less men to the ruck, then players can stand off and attack breakdowns for turnovers at the next.

Hence needing less lads at the breakdown and more to take on their attack and look for turnovers.

Re: Grand Slam this 6ns?
Before the tournament kicked off, I said there'd not be a Slam this year and I thought France may pinch the title from England in 2nd.
But now, after first round games, I think if Wales can beat Ireland and England away (and France and Scotland in Cardiff), Wales will more than likely win another Grand Slam... think about it

England will win the Grand Slam - well, the Red Roses will anyway!! They were very good indeed on Sunday.
As for the men, I think it really comes down to the match between Wales and France and if the French can bring their Edwards-inspired defence and attacking flair to Cardiff and make it work. Should be a cracker!!
