How will Van Persie be remembered at Arsenal?
Its always hard to tell when a big name and popular player leaves a club to further their career, especially if the move is to a rival. So how will Van Persie be viewed as Arsenal? Thanks for the memories? Or good riddance to a sell out?

a guy who got over his injuries and carried them to a 4th place finish. By Arsenal fans, a traitor who's only motivated by money or something along those lines, oh and he was always injured.

Arsenal took a punt on him when he was nothing.
7 injury hit seasons and 1 very good season later and the loyalty sadly isn't repaid.

Hardly a one season wonder, unless the wonder bit refres to him actually completing a season injury free
in the last 5 seasons despite being injured for a lot of the time he has a brilliant record for goals/assists compared to the amount of games he's played
It really makes me laugh though as there's probably some posts on here earlier in the year calling him amongst the best strikers in the prem, if not Europe, however now he's potentially signing for United he's all of a sudden a one season wonder. Doubt the comments would be the same had it been Juve, or even City he was going to, but because people hate united *cough cough jealousy* hes not that player anymore

As an Arsenal fan, I may be better placed to say how some of the more sensible members of the fan base feel than yourself. I'm disappointed he's going, as I think he's the best centre forward in the world, and last season he fulfilled his potential. I can understand why he thinks he's got more chance of winning trophies at Old Trafford than the Emirates, and think that if we'd made the signings of Cazorla and Podolski 12 months ago, he may have signed the contract.

Its not that RVP isn't a very good player. Its just a massive gamble from United.

Am gutted and do feel that Wenger showed the ambition that RVP was looking for (if you count the further rumoured signings of a defender and a DM) - yet still RVP opted to cash in on his best season.
I do think RVP could have been considered the best (or top 3) strikers in the world over his career if he'd stayed injury free, and his has had a very positive impact for us over his career, even with the injuries.
But it's such a massive kick in the teeth for him to move to united of all places that he aint a legend anymore, and he won't be remembered fondly.

Remembered as a ball greedy, profit maker, helped to finance better players like Podolski, Cazorla.
