Perfect Game.
Seattle Mariners pitcher Felix Hernandez yesterday became the first pitcher in Mariners history, and the 23rd pitcher in baseball history to pitch a perfect game. After he steared the Mariners to a 1-0 victory against the Tampa Bay Rays at Safeco Field.
Hernandez, who struck the Rays out twice, and finished with 12 strikeouts to put him 2nd in the list of strikeouts on a 174, had dreamed this event happening thanked the crowd saying that it was for them after the game.
Interestingly he becomes the 3rd player this season to pitch the perfect game, after Chicago White Soxs Philip Humber (against the Mariners in April), and San Francisco's Matt Cain (against Houston in June).
There have also been 6 no hitter this season as well.
