Cena's top rope leg drop.....
I didn't think he could top his 'drop kick of doom' but after missing R-Truth by at least a full foot with his latest new move John Cena has inspired my latest poll....

Got to be the STF, he doesnt even attempt to pull the head back.
And why is the GTS on this?

GTS and the Wasteland are great finishers, no Idea why they are here.
ZigZag is pretty cool too.

GTS and WasteLand are great, Wasteland is just brute force, Cena's "you cant see me" punch is ridiculous, he never even attempts to connect

Wastelands is one of the most pish poor finishers out there.

Wastelands as a move is good, especially against bigger guys. I don't think it is good enough to be a finisher for a top guy though.

Yeah that's my problem with it. Doing it to Rey would look brutal, but using it to pin Cena or HHH wouldn't buy.
I don't rate the GTS for the same reasons.

Not being funny Brady, but i can't even vote for any of these moves to be particuarly bad.

I never liked the GTS but for some reason since Punk turned heel it just looks more vicious, I never liked Wasteland until he hit Mark Henry with it and it just looked awesome, It would help if Barrett fell forward on impact tho

I can see that being better Gaffer. He could fall straight on top of them for the pin.

Sort of like a Batista Bomb? But literally straight into the pin you mean?

Nothing like that.
Gaffer, the Mark Henry one? Seriously, it was a botch and didn't it need Henry to climb the ropes?

Re: Cena's top rope leg drop.....
No, they all helped to lift Mark Henry onto Barretts shoulders ready for the move. They being either Nexus or Corre.

Henry climbed the ropes but I think that was more part of the story of the match, ie Barrett capitalised on Henry's mistake.
Barrett lifted Big Show for Wasteland with relative ease recently, so wouldn't have a problem with Henry (except perhaps Henry can't sell a move as well as Paul Wight)

Probably not as many times as Jeff has seen a leprechaun.

Wastelands looks rubbish on a big man....
GTS is hit & miss it sometimes looks good others poor....
Could put a Morrision move on the list as he's spectacular in the ring

KB it wasn't a botch on Barrett's part, Henry grabbed the rope and completely shifted his weight, Barrett actually saved that spot

No wonder man Henry is a prime bit of beef, seems like not many are fans of Wasteland, what do you guys think would be a better finisher

Re: Cena's top rope leg drop.....
It's difficult to say what Barrett could use... I do like the fact it's a pretty original move. Just think it looks clumsy on bigger guys
Surprised no one in recent times has stole the 'perfect-plex' that was a slick move in it's day... Think it would suit someone like Daniel Bryan

I couldn't see Bryan realistically keep someone like Jack Swagger in it, It would have been great fnr Joe Hennig tho IMO and would have gave the fans something to identify him with

Digressing somewhat but why was he branded as Mike McGilicutty instead of Joe Hennig? The son of a superstar route has helped guys like Orton, di Baise and Rhodes... Was it that he didn't want to get through on his fathers rep?

Re: Cena's top rope leg drop.....
I think that Barrett could have a finisher like Goldberg's jackhammer as he is a very strong man and the finisher is likely to do less damage to his back in the future.

I thought about the Jackhammer but I associate that with a guy with plenty of intensity, I'd rather see Cena use that, I like Wasteland but maybe a pump handle slam would suit him

He needs something quick that he can hit out of nowhere, Wastelands takes too long to set.

Re: Cena's top rope leg drop.....
You see I think the complete opposite, i think smaller guys are better with explosive finishers where as bigger guys can be a bit slower and more methodical

Re: Cena's top rope leg drop.....
Not a fan of the Wasteland at all, it looks impressive when he gets someone massive up on his shoulders right enough, but people were slagging off the FU/Attitude Adjustment for being a glorified fireman's carry, the Wasteland is similar. I think Wade Barrett should use Test's old pump-handle powerslam move.
Cena's no pressure STF is probably the most obvious one, although I hate Miz's Skull Crushing Finale, it just never seems to look right when he hits it on someone. When Chris Jericho used it as the Breakdown it looked alright but for some reason it just looks all sorts of wrong when Miz does it.

Re: Cena's top rope leg drop.....
Barrett would do better with something high impact like that or a tilt a whirl powerslam, spinebuster or even Bradshaw's old Clothesline from Hell.
Too often WWE are not sure how market stronger guys so give them something rubbish or obvious like a big boot.
I voted for the Skull Crushing Finale as it looks awful - it is so slow and jerky.

I think Wasteland looks a lot more impactful than Cenas FU to be honest

Re: Cena's top rope leg drop.....
Agree about the Skull Crushing Finale, it's not The Miz's fault though it's just not a natural motion and his opponents don't seem to know quite how to sell it. Just give him the Flatliner, much smoother move and looks much more devastating.
Worst move though has to be The Cobra, no question. Saw it live last night and it looks even worse than on TV!
John Cena's AA is pretty poor too, he just can't deliver it with any impact and I think this is partly because he is probably bored to death with delivering the same finisher for so many years now.

Re: Cena's top rope leg drop.....
Can i just ask; why the hell is the GTS a nominee?
IMO it's one of the best finishing manuvers in the 'E today.
As for the worst, it's none of the above.
For me it's either 'The Lie Detector' or 'Starship Pain'.

Yes Dan it's a decent move but I've seen him totally botch it on occassions... I think the worst was during his mini fued with Cena... I think he got the other members of new nexus to hoist him on his shoulders & then delivered a GTS which missed by a gone 2ft... If I remember rightly it didn't get a replay

who uses the lie detector? Can't think
I had to go for Cenas STF, he just doesn't sell it what so ever. Although it was close with Trish Stratus hurricanrana which
Think I would also put the Peoples Elbow up there now that the Rock has confirmed he will be back for at least one more match
