TRANSFERS:TM Moot wrote:not having played this before...can you transfer players every week, or is there a limit?
(a) There is no limit to the number of transfers in any one weekly Transfer Window, but they must fit under the $18 million salary cap. The weekly Transfer Window is open from Tuesday 12.00hrs (UK time) to 5.30 p.m. on Sunday. However players involved in any games before Sunday (i.e. Thursday or Saturday games) will be locked from 30 minutes before kick-off of the first game on those days. (b) Please see the Website for full details of players available for transfers and the NFL Season Schedule (c) The transfer deadlines may be amended by the Promoter without notice

Re: Fantasy Football on Sky Sports
Was looking at the league table there and just realised, cos I originally signed up to the Sky game to play in a league run by a bunch of pals, no-one here will know who I am cos I'm going by a different monicker. My team is "No pressure No diamonds" - the phrase that RG3 is often seen sporting on his t-shirts.
I hit it very lucky this week with a whopping 145 points. That's the most points I've ever scored in 5 years of playing the Sky game.... by a mile!! Thank you RG3, Roddy White, VJax, Scott Chandler, Matt Bryant and the Bears D!!! Frank Gore, you did OK, but you're still doing an extra lap of the football field after training. Ryan Matthews... you did me out of the overall highest score... 10 extra laps for you then you can collect your belongings from your locker and clear off!

Re: Fantasy Football on Sky Sports
I know, I couldn't believe it! I've never threatened that kind of score before. Just hit it lucky really. I fancied one of the Falcons' WRs to have a big game given what Ramses Barden did against Carolina last week, but you never know which one it will be so I just plumped for White cos it kind of felt like it was his turn again. I always going to pick VJax this week cos of the match up with the Redskins and our nightmare secondary. Scott Chandler was just pure luck - I only had $1m left to spend on a TE and saw that he was the top scoring $1m TE so just picked him purely on that basis. Bears D has just been insane in fantasyland this season so they kinda pick themselves. Likewise RG3. Matt Bryant is usually decent value. RBs were the only disappointment - Gore was OK but not brilliant but the Chargers' gameplan meant that Matthews didn't contribute much.

Like you say though, a long way to go!!! Only 4 games into the season so lots can change. Last season I recorded a score of just 43 in one of the weeks so anything can happen!!

A not-so-good week for me with only 61 pts. that drops me down to 5th overall. I seem to curse whoever I pick with injuries at the moment Griffin, Spiller, Hernandez, Garcon, Nicks and Brown.

95 points for me this week. Not too bad and could've been a lot worse as had some duff performances from some of my players this week. Saved by the Bears D.... again!

Re: Fantasy Football on Sky Sports
Wish i'd have stuck with a few of my players from the previous week.
I dropped RGIII due to concussion and Alfred Morris due to the Vikes run D and had to downgrade from AJ Green to stay under budget...
pretty much all backfired a bit.

Re: Fantasy Football on Sky Sports
At one point on Sunday, after all the early kickoffs, I was set for a poor week as RG3, Ryan Matthews, Chris Johnson and Mike Wallace, who I thought were all going to be my main men this week, turned in poor scores. The only player from the early games who did me any good was Heath Miller who turned in a decent performance for a TE. Then a long came Eric Decker, Lawrence Tynes and the Bears D to save me and drag me to a respectable 94 points. It doesn't say much for the supposed star players in your team when your Kicker and Defense are your top scorers. Tynes did turn in an outrageously good score for a Kicker though - 17 points!
Mike Wallace should be hanging his head in shame for only scoring 6 points against the Redksins dreadful pass D.
