Re: Fantasy Football Q&A
Ponder. Got some great weapons, and his arm is quality. Looked really good in pre season too, and Detroit's D Line is pretty rubbish, secondary not a whole lot better.
After all, who else is there to carry the offence if not Ponder?

Gotta trust Ponder... he throw a mean deep ball and is the better ground threat.Bull wrote:Newton or Ponder?

Sproles all day against a poor Atlanta defense. Is it PPR?RDuncan8 wrote:Ryan Mathews or Darren Sproles?
Matthews is a bum with a difficult matchup. Wouldn't be surprised to see Woodhead get more touches when the Chargers are chasing the game and keeping Woodhead in on passing situations.

Mike Wallace @CLE, or Greg Jennings @DET for WR

Jennings and Rudolph.
I'd wait to see how much they will use Fleener before starting him, although he does have the better match up.

I'm reluctant to play both though, as they are on the both side with Ponder attempting to throw them to ball!

Re: Fantasy Football Q&A
I wouldn't start Wallace as he is probably going to get Joe Haden'd but there is always the chance of a long bomb ..
Fleener and Jennings for me, Fleener is up against the Raiders, and there's some guy called Peterson who might get the ball a fair bit for Minnesota so definitely don't start both Vikings

Good point. I'd play Wallace then because I'm really unsure about Fleener.Olly wrote:I'm reluctant to play both though, as they are on the both side with Ponder attempting to throw them to ball!

Re: Fantasy Football Q&A
Wallace is an interesting one, cos I don't rate him at all, but he's gonna have a few amazing games per year just cos of his sheer pace.
I wonder how much the Colts will throw the ball as well, considering they should wrap up the win against Oakland fairly early

Mine would be CJ2 & probably Garcon over Brown
Would wait to see how many carries Miller & Vereen get , not sure about Cameron

Ahmad Bradshaw or Felix Jones? Steelers will rotate backs, but Bradshaw may be healthy enough to start, so moved him up to starter. Thoughts?

Re: Fantasy Football Q&A
Despite having Foster amongst my Running backs I'm pretty screwed to pick somebody in the other RB position
I have Michael bush who I know from Oakland but is going to have limited carries behind Forte and I have Lamaar Miller who I picked up on auto when I never paid attention to the pick clock. I know nothing about lamaar Miller
Who do I choose? I'm set at WR, QB, TE just don't have a scooy which RB to partner Foster

Re: Fantasy Football Q&A
Well, Lamar Miller has been selected as the starting RB by Miami. However he may end up splitting carries with Daniel Thomas depending on how he does. Probably will get many more carries than Bush though.gazzyD wrote:Despite having Foster amongst my Running backs I'm pretty screwed to pick somebody in the other RB position

You might have lucked out, Miller is a pretty popular pick to have a breakout season at RB, definitely start him over bushgazzyD wrote:Despite having Foster amongst my Running backs I'm pretty screwed to pick somebody in the other RB position

Re: Fantasy Football Q&A
I would go Miller and Vereen, Steelers D better than the Browns and the Pats are not suiting up Dobson, which means Thompkins and Amendola will be main WR, expect Vereen to be used a lot like Sproles as a pass catching RBNYJ wrote:Need 1 RB and 1 flex:

Re: Fantasy Football Q&A
I would go Nicks and VJax .. Nicks is good when he isn't injured and the Cowboys are starting a new defence .. Wilson should keep them from dropping too many into coverage.Pr4wn wrote:One WR AND one flex from Vincent Jackson (@NYJ), Hakeem Nicks (DAL), Shane Vereen (BUF) and Sidney Rice (CAR).
VJax is a risk, but he can make a good fantasy day off one big play. Plus you probably drafted him pretty high so just trust that!

Re: Fantasy Football Q&A
Closer than any other week to be fair.. Rodgers is up against the 49ers with a weak offensive line, they have a random guy at LT up against the Smith brothers! I would still play Rodgers, but it's close, especially as the Panthers secondary sucksPr4wn wrote:You can't bench Rodgers...

1 WR and 1 Flex from:
G. Tate (@CAR), E. Sanders (TEN), M.Wallace (@CLE), B.Tate(@SD)
Main thing is how many carries will Tate actually get?

The thing is that Wallace will have Joe Haden covering him, hasn't done well vs him so not too confident about starting him!Olly wrote:I'd go Sanders and Wallace

Re: Fantasy Football Q&A
I've got that problem with him too, but I figure with Wallace, all he needs is just one play and he can get you a 70 yard TD, not so sure Tate/Tate will offer as much tbhTake it to the house wrote:The thing is that Wallace will have Joe Haden covering him, hasn't done well vs him so not too confident about starting him!Olly wrote:I'd go Sanders and Wallace

Sit one from Forte (MIN), Ridley (NYJ), R Bush (@ARI) and Spiller (CAR)?

Sit Spiller - He split carries with Jackson Sunday, and Carolina's D looks v. strong.

Its amazing how quick people are to bench their "stars". Then again the remaining choices are quite tidy for a RB committee in a fantasy league!skins4ever wrote:Sit Spiller - He split carries with Jackson Sunday, and Carolina's D looks v. strong.

I would sit Ridley, he's apparantly got a knock and he's in the doghouse with Belichick at the minute.

Re: Fantasy Football Q&A
Jets run defense limited Doug Martin to 65 yards on 24 carries. I would sit Ridley too. Only because you have a wealth of talent though, in normal leagues I wouldn't consider benching him. He'll still be a stud despite a very poor Week 1.

Re: Fantasy Football Q&A
Only answer I'd give is the Jets D could concentrate on the run because there was little threat from passing. They have to respect what Brady can do, so they can't fix on the run like last week. Either way its Ridley or Spiller - you have to keep Forte and Bush in against those D's.

Re: Fantasy Football Q&A
Bloody hell -- Andre Brown out with a broken leg and now Vereen out with a broken wrist. I've got Trent Richardson (who did not much of anything Week 1) and Ben Tate, who will only be valuable if my Arian Foster voodoo doll actually works. I've gone to the scrapheap to see what I can find. How would you rate these RBs for pickup? Which one would you try to pick up?
Joique Bell (Det), Pierre Thomas (NO), Daniel Thomas (Mia), Kendell Hunter (SF), LeGarrette Blount (NE), Fred Jackson (Buf). Brandon Jacobs, Knowshon Moreno (Den)?
