Charr... Grilled.
He did nothing, less than nothing. I've seen dead fish more active than Charr.
What was the point in that? He looked grateful at the end of each round that he was still stood upright, was THAT his desire in the fight, to last? Because if it was then he didn't even do that properly, did he.
Drone Vitali needs to fight Haye or retire. He can't fight another custom made deck chair (they fold like Charr, easily). None of the young bloods are going to step up and take slave money, so for me it's Haye or the sunset ride. I simply cannot witness another horror show like tonight's non-contest.
Thoughts?

This was always going to be a none starter. To be honest I'm more interested in Kubrat Pulev Vs Alexander Ustinov at the end of the month.
I'm not even interested in a Haye Vs Vitali fight now. Is anyone?
Im not sure how much credit Haye would get for beating a 41yo with an eye on retirement. I would hate to see a name like Vitali losing to Haye so hopefully Vitali can turn back time.

Re: Charr... Grilled.
I would love to see Haye beat Vitali but doubt it would happen, scraping the barrel against fighters like Charr is embarrassing for a supposed great fighter. Everyone has easy fights now and then but at least they usually good fights inbetween, the current standard is poor but there are better available opponents than the likes of Sosnowski and Charr.

Terrible fight. Barely Euro level and Vitali looked like someones dad taking on a guy who shagged his daughter

For all that's said about him, at least Chisora tried to win..

Haye is the only interesting fight for Vitali. He was before he faced Charr too, but it's Vitali so we can't complain. He speaks lotsa languages!

Re: Charr... Grilled.
Did not bother to watch this farce after I saw videos of Charrs previous fights. All he does is put his guard up and plod forward.
This man deserves a title shot???
He would not make southern area championship level in the UK.
DISGRACE!

He tried to box Vitali at range, laughable strategy, as soon as it started I knew it was only a matter of time.
Chisora showed what you need to do to beat him, Charr was just a punching bag.

He probably can, but Haye won't stand in Vitali's range and try to break Vitali's fist with his face. Vitali could just as easily beat Haye.

Re: Charr... Grilled.
the problem for charr was anytime he opend up combinations he got a stiff right cross on his jaw and couldent stand the power so it was easier for to walk foward with his hands wrapped round hes face and hope for the best !!

Haye is too quick for Vitali who is slow footed...Haye would be in and out of range before Vitali knows what hit him.

carnt see vitali takeing the haye fight now anyway , too much of a risk for him and he must know after chisora and charr that he is getting easier to hit due to hes lack of movement

Re: Charr... Grilled.
If Wladimir couldn't do it, Vitali certainly wont he doesn't have one punch knockout power.
Only person that gets knocked out is Vitali...He couldn't even put away Briggs for goodness sake.

Good points PBF, the aspect that saved Wlad in that fight was he also has very very good footspeed... Vitali probably wouldn't be so lucky.

he couldnt put him away, but he certainly put him in hospital for a week with major damage.
Haye is not even a fall blown Heavyweight in my eyes. Yes he has power, but Vitali has a chin and fights A LOT rougher than Wladamir ever has. He charges down fighters and even the smallest of left crosses/hooks put opponents on the deck. Just ask Solis and Charr.
Haye will gob off as per normal, get in the ring, throw 5 punches per round and then lose via UD.
Or....he could come in and throw bombs which Vitali will eat and give back, putting David Haye on his back.
Either or, David loses.
Hopefully he will then wake up and stop the H/W con.
Let Haye fight someone decent like Arreola or Adamek.
He was blowing against Chisora for christs sake, and he has only fought Valuev (Crap), Ruiz (50 years past his prime), Barrett (What?), Chisora and Wladamir.
David and the public need to wake up a little and realize that he will NEVER beat a K Bro. I am a massive Haye fan, paid for the box office night against Wladamir and i nearly threw out the television in anger at how Poopie he was and how he blamed a toe.
He made £1 million at least that night, I made -£14.99.

Re: Charr... Grilled.
Ive read that Vitali has pretty chronic shoulder problems now which has robbed him of some of his power. If he did fight Haye I think it would be a slighlty more competitive version of the Wlad/Haye fight. I think Haye would hear the final bell unless he elected to really stand and trade. I think at this stage of their careers Wlad is the harder and more accurate puncher of the two Klitschkos. Undoubtadly closer to his peak also. So I wouldnt be hugely confident of Vitali getting a KO unless we see a much more adventurous Haye.

Re: Charr... Grilled.
he does. Haye was floored by barrett. He was knocked out by thompson. He has a weak chin at cruiser let alone heavy. The ojnly real threat he faced in punching power was wladamir. Wladamir fought with just a jab and an occasional right hand. Haye slipped most heavy shots and never threw back. Vitali is pure aggressive. He hunts and hurts everybody. He chases with hands down and bullies. His ko ratio is one of the highest. Not only that, but he can take shots. Lewis hit him with hammer punches and couldnt trouble him. In fat he threw back just as much.rycoys wrote:no he doesnt !mobilemaster8 wrote:Klitschko knocks Haye out period
Haye can run from wladamir all night, but with only fighting chisora, i feel he is going down.
Vit to chase Haye for a 6th round stoppage either ref or corner.

Wladimir never caught Haye flush, Haye was always moving back and never absorbed much punishment. If Wlad can put Mercer down then he would have no problem whatsoever doing the same to Haye, providing Haye hadn't ran away all night and just survived. Vitali may not have the one punch power but he still has 41 ko's in 45 wins so he definetely hurts with each punch as opposed to knocking them clean out like his brother. He's way to busy for Haye, i can't see any possible way Haye can beat him even at his age.

Got to be a rematch.
The fight hadn't even started. Absolute joke that fight was stopped. No opportunity to give the corner to have a look at it. Complete joke.

Re: Charr... Grilled.
Feels like a long time since we were spoiled, alma.
Thanks qc2!
What we need is some young guns to step up as soon as the K2 twins are done. Price should be ready in 12 months, although if he has his way i fear he may well wait for as long as possible.
Side note: Do you think this had an effect on Sky's decision to drop all but Hearn? Hearn seems keen to make world title fights as soon as possible for his fighters.

Hearn puts on better shows, simple as that really.
Bellew vs Mirande, although fairly drab, will still be a better match up that what his rival at the weight will serve up when he fights a local baker.

Audley would have people believing again... Sky dont need to do a thing...
It was hilarious before the Haye fight. People were actually coming out with lines like "what if he lands the left", "Haye cant take his power"... Tremendous stuff.

Aye, I remember those Audley believers well, too. "Audley has a chin - Haye doesn't, Harrison's an Olympic champion with plenty of ability, If Audley lands once it's all over, I think Harrison is really up for it this time", and the like.
Incredible, really.
Have to say, I have no sympathy for those who purchased the fight and then ranted afterwards that they'd been "cheated" and "robbed" of their money, and that Audley had "taken them for a ride." Any sensible person buying the fight would be under no illusions about what they'd be getting. If Audley fooled you, then tough luck, really.
Overall, a seriously dark day for British boxing. The whole saga was an embarrassment from start to finish.
