Ouch! Charr brutally KO'd.
Manuel Charr has been hanging around the fringes of the top heavies for a while now, but after witnessing this (and having also seen his hard knockout at the hands of Povetkin), it might be an idea for him to give up the idea of playing with the big boys as he has come up short every time he has gone anywhere near the top. This is a brutal, nasty knockout and I would imagine Charr will still have a headache next week...

Saw this last night, that uppercut was used to perfection. He was out as soon as it landed.

Beautiful combo there from Briedis.
Charr looked the bigger man to me but he is so predictable to fight you can just pick your shots like that guy did.
And to think he wanted to fight Haye.

How the hell did Charr ever get a shot at Vitali?
Remember him at one of Vitali's fights and at the end hovering around the ropes and the tone of his voice. Made everyone think Vitali should feel guilty about avoiding the 'real' contender. Shows what a bit of front can do for you in the modern heavyweight era. I don't mean it disrespectfully but an out and out journeyman.
What now for Charr? Maybe the movies? His name certainly sounds like a 1940's Hollywood character actor.

definitely a 'timber' moment. Didn't really look like much more than a couple of arm punches either. Obviously had a bit more behind them than it looked!

Is Briedis not a Cruiserweight?

A cruiserweight whose best wins were a decision over Ismail Abdoul and a KO9 against Joey Vegas. This victory may be more of an indication that Charr is a shell of the average fighter he was and not that Briedis is anything special.

Early stoppage. It's instances like this that turn people away from the sport.....
