Should the League reset all of Season I transfers?
SEASON II
We are starting the preparations for the second season. The plan is is for all squads to be reset to their real life current squads. However, squads could be kept as they are currently.
If you have qualified in the top four, you get Champions League football next season. 5th to 7th and the cup winners (or finalists) get Europa League football. If both the cup finalists have European football already, then the eighth placed team will be given Europa League football. All of this is to be run by Treble. The bottom eight teams will be entered into the FA Cup, which will be run by GSC (TBC)
The bottom three teams will be relegated. Replacing them will be QPR, Sunderland and Wigan. The three relegated managers will get first picks on these teams. Also, managers can mix it up by being a new team for the new season, to keep their interest.
Foreign Transfers will be changed, with potential transfer windows and other bits and pieces, as yet it is currently unknown how it will run. Suggestions would be appreciated. The week may also be re-jigged.
There are various roles which need to be done for the new season:
- Injuries
- Foreign Offers
- Tactics
- Releases
- League table

Re: SEASON II
Definitely keep them how they are, given the squad I have out together at Everton it would be annoying to go back to how the squad is Irl.
Basically Parker, Lennon, Enrique, Evans, Sinclair and co are far too important to my champions league hopes!

I'd want to keep them as they are too unsurprisingly.

Please vote then
The idea of resetting them was that some mistakes were made in the handling of transfers this season, and in resetting it allows us to rectify those and ensure it doesn't happen again.

Re: SEASON II
With any transfer though where there is a human element upon deciding if the transfer is to go through or not there will always be what are as regarded as mistakes in hindsight as what looks a certainty to go through in RL then turns out to not be the case.
Most would have thought Moura was on to join Utd after the papers stated it was a done deal, yet he went to PSV. Dzagoev, Hazard, Llorente and Damiao were all strongly linked with Spurs in the past 6 months, it wasn't like I pulled those transfers out of thin air yet they're deemed to 'unrealistic'.
When you have Southampton in Real Life buying Gaston Ramirez or Arsenal getting Cazorla for a absolute snip then is real life actually that much more realistic to be fair?

Re: SEASON II
Pros and cons re resetting, it would allow some of the unrealistic squads assembled to be fixed but equally people would be likely to base their predos on what happens in the real pl.
Hard to know.

It's going to be controversial either way. It'll be whatever the majority want though.

Re: SEASON II
To add to my point, if we reset then I'd need a massive budget to reassemble a squad to the same level plus getting it ready for champions league (providing I do manage to keep us in the top 4)
Re: SEASON II
If there was a reset, then budgets would be made based on finishing positions on this season's league

Re: SEASON II
I vote to reset the squads.
Here's my two cents on the whole thing;
Resetting the squads will respark the domestic transfer window. It will keep managers interested in trying to rebuild a new squad with new challenegs, where as if they were kept the same, it would only be the same handfull of managers that will want to hand in tactics, it's no fun being at the bottom loosing every week, every season!
It will keep the domestic transfer window ticking over nicely, it's only due to the fact that a new Chelsea, Newcastle & Arsenal manager have had to come in that it's started moving again this past couple of weeks! So re-setting the squads will stop that from drying up, I'd also have to agree that there were a couple of mistakes made in the Forign's this season.
I also think that if they want to, Manager's can resign from their teams and pick a new one before the season starts, but leave what ever they have achieved behind, i.e, if you won the FA.Cup with Swansea but wanted to take over QPR, you'd give up your right to compete in Europe.
Another suggestion I'd to like make is something I've seen used in the Elite League here, I think managers should be rewarded for sending in predictions, maybe 1-2 Million each week, and Managers who don't get the extra injury and no money. Make them motivated! This would also link up with not letting the transfer window dry up!

Re: SEASON II
I presume top will get no money and bottom the most.
If you want to correct wrong doings then just reverse the transfers?

Re: SEASON II
I've been doing my best to build a squad in the long term, if they get reset I'd feel like I did it for nothing. So I may end up leaving the league if we reset.

I do agree with this.
I will probably leave if the squads are reset. I am pleased with my squad but I think there needs to be more money floating around.
