The Los Angeles City Council have officially approved the construction of a new stadium near to the Staples Centre in downtown LA. The proposed $2.1 billion stadium will begin constructed from March next year, will seat 76,000 with the hope of attracting a NFL franchise back to the city.

Several current franchises have been mooted with a move to LA with the Chargers and Raiders being the likely favourites.
