What happens if I you've signed a player that normally plays for the opposition in a European clash? Say for example if I played Racing Metro, who would have Olly Barkley? Me, them or both?

Rumoured for a while, but seems likely now. Hell of a signing for Scotland I'd say. A back three of
Visser - Hogg - Maitland
Is quite a step forward from Paterson - Lamont - Walker!

I've heard this rumour for some time. Couldn't see anything but with the NZ depth outwide.

Young 8 for the Stormers, was quite low down the pecking order for them due to Vermuelen, Kolisi, Fenton-Wells etc. Been injured recently, but Gold has snapped him up. Typical SA 8, big ball carrying, no nonsense option

Will let Fearns play 6 a fair bit more which is good for England.

I don't know. I liked Fearns as an option at 8 for England. Who else do we really have of quality after Waldrom and Morgan? (And yes in that order!)

Joubert , Grey , Crane?
Crane has been immense since he came back.
Think Clark could be a good 8.

Crane has been good. People say that he's too slow, but look at Easter perhaps? Grey hasn't really built on his form from the Falcons. And I don't fancy Joubert in his later days. To be honest, I think quite highly of Wray at Sarries. He looks a unit and has some decent hands

Re: Fantasy Premiership Season 1 - Homepage
I don't think Fearns is international class tbh. 6 is his best position so it will at least allow him to develop
I'd stick with Morgan then Waldroum. Joubert isn't the type of player we need looking to 2015 and Crane isn't dynamic enough unfortunately as he's a cracking AP player.

Crane has been the best 8 in the AP since he's came back , Easter for me should have been left out after the NZ tour a few years back where Haskell , Narraway and Rees where standouts there.
Who's the fatty that plays 8 for Wasps? has a funny name , his kid plays for Saracens. He looks good.

Billy V has been good actually, has potential.
I think Easter has been better than Crane personally, both have been good though and both unlikely to play for England, although Crane is a SL fav

If Joubert was 4 years younger he'd be a cert for me. Offers more than the rest in terms of overall quality, and is amazing in the lineout too. But he's too old to bring in now i'd say, although he would do a very good job for us for the next 2 years.

Ben Morgan has been playing very well for Gloucester by all accounts.
Joubert would be great for the next 2 years but Lancaster is pretty focused on 2015.

Billy Vunipola has had a really good season so far, as has his brother. No ulterior motive here at all...

Re: Fantasy Premiership Season 1 - Homepage
So, no huge surprises with the England squad, but very pleased for Anthony Allen.
Vunipola is an interesting shout, I would have preferred Wood or Mullan personally.
Think Sharples and Farrell are very lucky to have stayed ahead of May, Biggs, Wade and Burns respectively.
Wood is a lucky man as well, but Dowson once again is a joke.
Surprised we've only got 6 front rowers as well and only 2 hookers, with 7 in the back row.
Gutted that Biggs and Fearns aren't included, but it's great news for Bath and for me on here.

So Koster is confirmed, finally. But the interesting news is that it signals the start of a Bath - WP partnership, where young players might go on exchanges. Be great for the likes of Devoto, Woodburn, Palmer-Newport to go out and play some rugby in SA.
In other news, I think that Jonathan Joseph will be a Bath player next year.

Shouldn't come as a surprise though mate, surely? Care is certain to be in it, should start, Farrell is bummed by the coaches and Monye's in good form and experienced

Re: Fantasy Premiership Season 1 - Homepage
Id have thought Eastmond was more likely to be involved with England then Biggs. Fantastic little player. Could be our own little JOC.
Farrell and Sharples are in the squad to stay unless injured. Can't change the EPS until after the new year. Can only call up injury replacements as far as I know. Its a decent squad but 2nd row needs work. Lawes is our best option but we need someone to partner him. Wouldnt mind seeing Attwood/Garvey given a go. If you go with Wood & Robshaw on the flanks wouldn't need a lineout expert.
Come the new year Botha/Palmer/Dowson need dropping with Fearns/Launchberry/Attwood/Garvey all needing looking at

I wouldn't have thought so either, but he's in better form than Sharples, very consistent, in the Saxons and Lancaster was down in the week saying that he thought he'd be in contention, insinuating he might be included

Just don't see anything that Botha and Dowson offer? What's the point in including them? They aren't impact players off the bench either, complete waste of a spot for a youngster

I don't know, I quite like Botha.
Launchbury in for Dowson would have been a good call though to cover 6/lock.

Everyone at that level should have a huge work rate, that's a given for international rugby. Second rows really should be good carriers, especially if they aren't lineout geniuses - Kennedy for example

I would like to see Lawes/Launchbury paired up but we'd get mullered in the lineout with the inexperience.

He's a decent jumper but not a leader. Similar with Palmer really, we really struggled with him and Lawes in the engine room.
